Had a leaking pipe in the basement. They were able to come out same day and get it repaired/replaced. A little costly, but worth having it done correctly instead of botching the job myself. Would recommend.

So, we had Randy from Advanced plumbing and heating out to fix a drip in our old, kinda icky shower stall Wednesday 11/9.
We were told we needed a valve replacement. My mother (older, single women) also asked shut off valves be installed on both the hot and cold water.
Randy was not able to complete these repairs on Wed and stated he would return tomorrow (Thursday) early to complete this job.

*******AT NO TIME WAS MY MOTHER OFFERED A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FOR THIS JOB*******
(very, very shady business practice, btw)

My husband and I waited around all day for Randy to come complete the work as my mother was gone, after 3:30 PM we decided it was late enough and took our son to the park for an hour and a half, during that time, Randy apparently let himself into our home, unsupervised, without notice of his coming and WITHOUT PERMISSION.

When we arrived home, we found a bill on our table for almost $600!!!!
TO FIX A DRIPPING SHOWERHEAD...In a box shower stall. The shut off valves were NOT installed.

AT NO POINT did Randy discuss materials, cost estimated time of job etc with anyone in the home to verify if we would be comfortable spending close to $600, WE WERE NOT.
We could have replaced the ENTIRE SHOWER for a third of the cost, and now we have to have ANOTHER plumber come and cut the new piping to actually install the shut off valves we originally requested.
I would NOT recommend doing business with a company that doesn't provide a written estimate, has their employees just let themselves into a home, and doesn't discuss cost/time/materials thoroughly with their customers.

We will be paying the bill, but we will NEVER, EVER use or recommend Advanced Heating and Plumbing to anyone.
