Advanced Leak Detection
Company Overview
Leak and Pipe Locating: At Advanced Leak Detection, we employ advanced leak detection methods, including top-tier acoustic and tracer gas detection tools, to ensure we can locate even the most elusive leaks.
Video Inspections: A camera inspection of your plumbing provides immediate insights into the state of your underground sewer lines and other piping. This process involves deploying a flexible fiber optic cable equipped with a high-resolution video camera at its end into the pipe. As the cable travels through the pipe, the waterproof camera records its exploration and findings.
Real Estate Inspections: We support in preserving your property's market value with advanced equipment and thorough inspections. Our services include pressure evaluations, video camera inspections of both underground water lines and other plumbing systems, confirming the integrity of plumbing systems, and detecting sub-slab leaks.
Camera and Locating Services: Our state-of-the-art video inspection technology can manage even the toughest tasks, allowing us to inspect areas that would typically require major excavation and labor. We employ innovative technology to boost our ability to find leaks that might otherwise remain hidden, leading to increasing damage with each passing drip. We take pride in supporting our customers in detecting hard-to-find leaks before they become a significant issue, causing further damage to your home. All our employees are certified technicians with unique skills who have undergone rigorous training, enabling them to precisely locate difficult water leaks. Our leak detection specialists are supported with high-tech technology and leak detection devices to assist them in locating leaks under concrete, floors, soil, and earth.
With Advanced Leak Detection, you can trust us to find your leak, allowing you to initiate repairs and mitigate any further damage. Hard-to-find water leaks can result in wood in walls and floors deteriorating, drywall and insulation becoming contaminated with mold, and some leaks even affecting your electrical system if they are near wiring or a breaker box. Locating the water leak is the primary step to halting any additional damage and protecting the value of your home.

Fast easy leak detection. Very professional. Helped me locate water main leak that was close to the Meter near the road. It was costing me hundreds of dollars a month

We were in a ""no-water"" situation--water was not getting from our well to the house. One leak detection company said they could come in a week; Advanced showed up the next day. Paul worked efficiently and found the leak fairly quickly, plus he was friendly and courteous. Thank you, Paul!

Update: can't believe we spent several hundred dollars for the guy to find an old steel pipe with no water in it.... Meanwhile our water main was gushing water right under the driveway. Found our own leak with a shovel don't waste your time or money. The only leak I detected was from my wallet...

Irresponsible bad guy ..... go with other companies. This was my first time getting leak detection service so I didn't know better. After I paid him I called plumbers to get estimate on fixing the leak, 3 different plumbers told me that what Paul did for me isn't sufficient at all, he was supposed to do one more important step. I called Paul back to finish the job. He wouldn't respond to four calls and 2 voicemails over 2 different days. It's 2 weeks now.

Loved that he showed up on time, gave us the amount that he was going to charge and the amount of time he was going to be for the amount charged. I apologize for forgetting his name. He quickly asked verifying questions, did multiple tests, and ultimately found the leak. He found the leak within an hour, did a couple of tests and pinpointed it. We had a plumber come out and the leak was exactly where he pointed it out at. I definitely would recommend for quick, easy, and fair service.

What an ethical firm. The help I needed could be completed by my referring plumber so they called my plumber to properly explain why and give my business back to them.

Paul was able to quickly identify an underground leak that another company had failed to locate (leading us to dig unnecessarily in the wrong spot). He was professional, punctual, and was happy to share his knowledge about plumbing. Make Paul your first call for any leak detection job.

He found the leak after about 20 minutes which prevented a lot of digging and potentially chopping up our concrete driveway, thanks so much.

One rate no matter what.
Like the other reviewer we were quoted several hundred dollars for them to come and find our leak, which they estimated 1.5 to 2 hrs of work. We had an abnormally high water bill and had checked everything we knew how and couldn't find a problem. They came and turned off the meter and checked the same things and said there was no problem. This took about 30 min. They used no advanced skill or tools. We paid, but asked them if they would consider a lower rate given the work, but they said the charge was the same no matter what. Thinking this was high my husband googled local average rates on homewyse for two hours and one leak was $116 to $140. Perhaps this is not totally accurate but gives a good indication of what would be more of a fair rate. Yes, they say ahead what the price should be based on 2hrs and finding a leak, but in other situations the price should be at least based more on the job than a flat fee. They also make you pay at time of service so you can not consider this. From the other review it seemed like they were fair to their customers and took this into consideration but it is not true. You are better off to find a place that charges based on what they actually do.

Tim Moffatt was fantastic. I have some wooden floor boards that are starting to warp. I've already had a handyman come out a few times and they couldn't find anything. Tim initially quoted me several hundred dollars for 2 hours work. He called me and came early because he had time. He promptly checked every possible source with infrared and some other equipment. Found no active leak and did it quickly so didn't charge me.
If you have any questions about possible leaks around the house, I would definitely call Tim.
