Do not get scammed by these guys!! They take advantage of people who are desperate and need their water back.
The front office promised the guys in the truck could take care of all our needs (busted piped, leaking valve, water softener and water heater) but it was a lie. They fixed the broken pipe for $805 for 1.5 hours of work for 2 staff members. That 268 dollar per hour per guy!!! The worker seemed irritated to be there and then stated ""Its late, I need to go home"" at 430pm. He left the leaking valve and said he could come back tomorrow for additional $435. He stated we dont do that brand of water softener (even though the office said they could) Instead he tried to sale me their brand of water softener for $3000 to $7000. I asked for an itemized bill and they responded we dont do itemized, we do cost per job but then could not state how they got to their total. Also I was charged no tax, sounds like tax evasion to me!!! Get a real plumber, dont waste ur time and money on these guys.
first thing I bought a furnace four years ago about $10,000 worth. It is not worth $10,000. It was poorly put together and now when I have to change the filter things are falling apart and they want to come out and fix it and charge me more they're already very very expensive. I can't even change a filter which by the way I have to order through them that is over $200 for three filters. I would not recommend them they're way over priced for what they do. And on top of that, the ducting was already in the house.
These guys are scheisters. Avoid at all costs. They take advantage of older people. Tell you it's an emergency that needs to be done right away. Wanted to charge us well over $20000 for something Platinum plumbing was able to fix for $250. If I could give them zero stars I would
This is really unbelievable but true. I am selling a home in Rexburg, Id and the buyer called Advanced Home Solutions to inspect the plumbing and do a scope of the sewer line. In checking the plumbing he noted it was copper pipe and showed the buyer ""corrosion"" on the pipe and recommended that all the plumbing be replaced. The ""corrosion"" was solder and I had a different plumber come to inspect the plumbing and said they were fine.
Advanced Home solutions ran a scope down the sewer line and found a four foot section between the house and the street which had a slight dip in it. He told the buyer it needed to be fixed and would cost between $35,000 and $50,000 to fix. The buyer had a different company come out and they said the dip should not be a problem as long as there isn't anymore settling. I was told that even if it was a problem it would cost no more than $1000 to level the pipe.
How in the world does Advanced Home Solutions stay in business????
Jessica C.The repair guy was nice but thats the only good thing I can say about them. they were scheduled out so we had to wait until the next week for an appointment. The day of I Waited all day and they didn't show up. Finally I texted and asked about them coming, because they had previously texted me about letting me know when they would arrive, and they said they couldn't come and needed to reschedule....so we waited another day. When they did get to our place they wanted to charge close to 1000 for a fix that would cost us 17 dollars to do ourselves.(We just bought an entire a new toilet instead)they wanted 400 to fix a leak in the sink that only involved recaulking and tightening. They also wanted to charge us over 600 to fix an over rotating handle on the shower. We said okay because we weren't doing the toilet or the sink because those prices were ridiculous but felt bad that they came out and we weren't giving them work so they took the shower apart, said they didn't have the part and they needed to go get it. So I waited an extra half hour while they went to get the part( they were already making me late for an appointment) and then I get a call from them saying they are at the store and they don't have the part. they didn't call in advance to check if they had the part so they took up an hour extra of my time just to find out they couldn't do the job Because they needed to order it In and that would take till next week. I told them to just come back and put my shower back together. After that they tried to reschedule and I said we wouldn't be rescheduling with them. Didnt find out till after they left that they put it back together wrong and caused a leak in the walls that ruined the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom below it. I normally don't leave reviews but everyone needs to know and STAY AWAY.
They were called to put in a tankless water heater. I was told it would be immediatly hot (as I told them that I never washed my hands in the bathroom as the water was always cold). It takes a long time to get hot. this makes it difficult to wash dogs. The work was not done correctly-No water in bathtub and reverse hot and cold in the laundry. There was part of a wall removed and put back in to do some of the plumbing. I was not told that this was being done and I didn't see it until later. I could not get hot water, and there was a lot of water on the floor in the basement from the water heater. I called to have them come to rectify it and they said they would charge me $200.00 more. I said no and kept calling and they wouldn't come until I said that I would call the better business bureau. Then I had to call numerous times to get an electrician (that they said would come) to come to put in an out let for the water heater.

Brenda B.I had them come out to tighten a faucet that I couldn't reach because it was under the sink At an odd angle. They took everything apart and then quoted me over $4000 saying I needed a water softeneR. When I said no- he proceeded to give me alternative quotes which were ridiculous. I told him to put it back together and I'd figure it out myself. He miraculously was able to simply tighten the faucet. I was still charged $180. I'm sure they take advantage of so many people who don't stand up to them or refuse to pay what their quote. then they kep calling and texting about me needing services on other things. I finally told them to take me off their list.
Brian B.Wow. This business is there to rip people off! We had an issue with our AC unit. Something small. They came out quickly and said we had to replace the whole system, and the quote was $14,000 for their bare bones unit and system with no bells and whistles. $14,000!!!!!! The minute I said we were going to get quotes from others before deciding, he quickly got up and left. We ended up having a guy come out and fix our problem for only $150. It now runs just fine. Do not trust this company. They just want your money. They probably try and trick people into paying such a high amount before they get a chance to get multiple quotes. Horrible company.
BEWARE ...... I purchased a water softener and an electronic air filter for my furnace. Lesson #1 ..... $5,000 ???? No literature or explanation of the softener so it has been burning thru softener salt for over a year now. Called them to come and examine and reprogram the softener and provide some documentation when they decided my toilet was leaking. I was told that I needed a fluid level control valve and a tank ball/flapper..... They would be glad to take care of that for the sum of $437.00 ...... I declined and they had me sign for what I was told was just permission to address my water softener issue .... Upon reading the fine print, I found that they were charging me the $437.00!!!!! I sent them on their way and went to Home Depot. It cost me $5.37 for a new flapper and 2 minutes of my time..... I think that it is unethical and a crime to be trying to take advantage of senior citizens ...... DO NOT USE ADVANCED HOME SERVICES ..........
THEY DON'T DESERVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEW -
THEY DESERVE TO BE ADDRESSED WITH BBB ........
I recently almost got swindled by this company on a new sewer line. Well, lets back and they came to snake my line, sent a sprinkler repair guy who removed my toilet and charged me $100 extra for that. Turns out it didn't need to be done, plus he said I could turn my water back on and my basement flooded AGAIN so they had to come back that same night. Their motto is ""My Dad Can Do That"" Well, if my dad can do that, I WANT A NEW DAD!!!
