Phone service very poor. Couldn't give me a general estimate over the phone and made no suggestions. Cost $69 to come out and just look. Didn't refer me to a plumber or have someone call me back. Used by American Home Shield.

Sent by HSA (home warranty) for an accidental clog of our toilet with a pumice stone. The plumber attempted to snake the toilet but refused to actually remove the toilet from the floor to get at the obstruction. He told me I would need a new toilet but he wasn't willing to contact my home warranty that day to find if I had coverage because he didn't want to waste his time on hold with them (which was day four of no toilet so I was thrilled to wait even longer). So I had wait another 24 hours... I got a call the following day from my home warranty quoting me $420 I would need to pay directly to Advance Home Services. I contacted another plumber I found through yelp with great ratings and was quoted a much lower replacement cost. The best part is the new company attempted to remove the pumice stone by removing the toilet first!!! Lo and behold... toilet was inverted and the pumice stone fell out! If the plumber from Advance Home Services hadn't been so unwilling to do the extra work the problem could have been fixed. To make matters worse he was very rude and condescending. Save yourself some frustration by finding a good company to do the work correctly the first time (and cancel home warranty ).

Pass this company up! They were dispatched through American Home Shield for one of my AC units that was running, but not producing cold air. After 6 visits over 4 weeks and still no resolution, I was frustrated! Justin, the supervisor, tried to blame me for not letting them know that the unit had froze up prior to the tech's arrival when I had texted and sent pictures 2 hours prior! Terrible customer service! Then when I spoke with the owner, he jumped ship and said that they weren't going to be able to help me! They are not serious about customer satisfaction! And they are not qualified! The next company that came out found the new blower motor that they had installed in the attic was blowing the wrong direction! Scary! On the second visit, they added freon which I now know that was a ripoff! They have no idea what they are doing! Save yourself a headache and pass them up!

Jered of Advance Home Solutions was able to solve our problem with our AC. A few months ago I had the same issue and non of the recommended companies chosen by my Home warranty insurance ( Ice Cube co. is a disaster! ) fixed the issue. We suffered heat exhaustion for several days to the point that it was so unbearable which prompted me to make a decision to get help from a different company non affiliated with the Home warranty. They fixed the problem but with a price.. This time OMG! its like a miracle Jered rectified the problem in a heartbeat!! I almost cancelled my subscription , until AHS sent Jered of Advanced Home Solutions

My home warranty company dispatched this company to come look at my drippy water heater. When they called to arrange service, I asked for something after 3:30, stating that was the earliest I could be home from work. I was told that they didn't have anything that late, but that they could schedule me between 3-6. Ok, fine. I made arrangements to leave work early and got home for my service window. I sat and waited and waited. No word until exactly 6:00 when they called to say they were 15 minutes away. When I commented that it should have been between 3-6, the tech rudely argued with me that the window was from 4-7. I know for sure that wasn't the case, because I wouldn't have had to leave work early if it were. Plus, as I told him, I had an email stating that they would be there between 3-6. His rudeness is what really put me off, and I told him not to bother coming that night. When a lady called the next day to reschedule, she said, ""so your window was from 4-7, but you thought it was 3-6"". No, that definitely was not the case, and I told her that I'd be taking my business elsewhere.

Went through AHS warranty to replace my water heater and they referred me to advanced home services. They called right at 730am to schedule appt but didn't have any early morning appts. Came to house to inspect and confirmed that water heater needs to be replaced. So told me needed to get approval from AHS before work can be done and what my coverage will cover as for expenses and my payment due. Was approved by Friday morning and told us our payment would be $550 which I thought was a little bit high for having a warranty. But called plumbers around for estimates got any price from $750-$1200 so just went ahead with Advanced Home Services for the $550 to cover the city codes, permits and modifications. Was told can't replace to Monday and that's when I got little upset but they were fully booked and Monday afternoon was the earliest they can get to us. So no hot water for 4 days which my family was not happy! But after all the wait Sam the technician did a great job in replacing the water heater and now we have hot water again. Thanks for the good job Sam! They did what they came to fix. No complaints except for no hot water for 4 days. Lol

I'm am so happy I finally switched home warranty company. I was with Fidelity for 3 years after buying my house. Yes Fidelity was a little cheaper BUT, hardly anything was ever covered, I always had to pay more because one part of a product wasn't covered!!!
American Shields has operators to take calls 24/7.
Techs actually put on house booties without being told.
Very professional, courteous and will make sure I'm pleased with the work. It helped I had documented the intermittent toilet leak. The other company, the issue had to happen in front of the Tech before they will fix the problem.
David stayed awhile and I'm glad it started to run while he was there.
I'm so glad I switched to American Shield.
