If I could give this company no stars I would. Greg Phillips, their sales tech, came out to give an estimate on a furnace. The house is 1,000 square feet total and he quoted my father $8,000 to $18,000 to install a new furnace. Another company quoted me $3,000-$4,000 to install a furnace. My Dad is in his 70s and was almost taken advantage of. I called to speak to the owner and he was ""unavailable"" for the week. I asked for his email so I could send a complaint letter and his receptionist wouldn't give this out either. I assume he endorses this behavior since he is ""unavailable."" This company preys on the elderly. If you look at other Yelp reviews, it is clear this is a pattern with them. They are trying to pad their numbers and wallet. There is a cold, dark place in Hell for those who take advantage of the elderly on fixed incomes. Shame on you!

These people are infuriating to work with, and that's not a term I use easily. Yes they overcharge. Yes they're continually upselling you services you don't need, but none of that would earn the label infuriating.
The real problem is... they never tell you what's wrong. They make you guess.
Again, they DONT TELL YOU what's wrong.
Allow me to explain.
Suppose you have a broken water heater, anything could be wrong with it correct? Well that's why you call in a professional to tell you what's wrong. And if you called miscellaneous repairman X, he'll come over, take the water heater apart, and say ""You have a problem with so-and-so. It will cost so much to fix."" Fine, you pay the money, water heaters fixed. Everyone's happy.
Except Advanced Home Services does not work that way. They make you guess.
They do not take your water heater apart.
They do not tell you what's wrong with it.
They immediately go into upsell mode.
""Well it could it be a problem with X, which is $400. Or it could be a problem with Y which will cost you $800. You could be a problem with Z which is $1200.""
So you're like, ""So which one is it?""
They won't tell you that. They say ""You have to pay us first, and hope real hard that you guess the right problem.""
So in frustration you all but scream ""Can't you just FIX the water heater and charge me accordingly???
No. They won't.
Until they have money in hand they won't lift a single screwdriver. Money for a problem of which you have no idea, for a procedure which is a total crapshoot.
So you have to take a total flying guess as to what's wrong with your water heater, and the whole time you're sweating bullets hoping you picked the right option. There is no peace of mind, no pleasant glow of knowing your problem will be perfectly solved.
Worse, if all your water heater needed was a $5 washer, you're still out the $400.
Infuriating.
I have never worked with any other home repair service, in any city, in any state, that works like this. I've explained this procedure to other home repair services in my area and they laughed out loud. There is no personalized service. No customization. No tailoring to the needs of the consumer. Every problem is indexed, numbered, filed, and sorted like a robotic barcode. Even if you asked for personalized service you wouldn't get it. I had a minor problem with a leak, and I knew exactly what caused the leak, I knew exactly what it would take to fix the leak, but since that wasn't one of their pre-arranged, preprogrammed, pre indexed, pre-cataloged problems in their computer, they wouldn't do it. Not unless I paid the $400, for a job any other plumber in the city would charge $100. I had a leaky toilet, and one of their pre-approved solutions was ""Well for $800 we can replace the whole toilet."" This is for, like, a minor leak...
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

I'm not using these people again. My blood pressure can't handle it.

I assumed responsibility for my deceased in-law's estate last year and we called Advanced Home Services for some repairs because that's who they had always used for their repairs and maintenance needs. When I got their invoices and realized how much they charge for their services I was amazed and disgusted at how much they gouge people for. A simple job of replacing a water heater and pressure tank was billed at $7,500.00 when a normal company would have charged maybe $1,200.00. I looked back in their records and discovered this has been going on for a long time. To think that they had been taking advantage of an elderly couple like this for many years really makes me furious. They should be in jail.

Furnace stopped working. My wife and I troubleshooted until we narrowed it down to the blower motor (youtube is great!). Called advanced to come repair. $84 to validate our troubleshoot and take it apart. Quote was $900 for the motor and $100 for the capacitor + labor (expected another $500). We bought the motor + capacitor down the street for $190. Took us 45 minutes to install (youtube is great!). Definitely not worth $1500.

Save your time and money! They did not respond as they said, and my problems have been repetitive. They may be cheaper, but its NOT WORTH IT!!! You truly get what you pay for in this case. I lost money by taking off work, then was told they could re-schedule in 3 weeks? In addition they required my credit card info before they would even come out-which sounded shady, but I complied. After the last call with them, they were rude and didn't care if I missed work- ""not their problem"". I asked that they clear my credit card info from their records, and will be checking my bank account for fraud. I would give zero stars, if I could but there is not an option. I called another local company, ""King George"" and they were willing to come as soon as I needed with comparable prices.

Steer clear of this company, and hide your wallets!

One star is honestly far too generous for this company. These guys charged my 82 year old father $1,433 to replace a bathroom faucet! My father has hired this company several times in the past for miscellaneous home repairs, and he also pays them a monthly service fee to ""check over his plumbing and check his HVAC system"". When his bathroom faucet broke, he contacted this company to fix the problem. He is a very trusting person, and based on his previous experiences with the company, he assumed that the outrageous amount of money they quoted him for this repair job was acceptable. NOT! The retail price on the faucet they used is less than $250, and it took them less than an hour to replace the faucet. I was not aware that $1,000+ per hour is the going labor rate for plumbers these days! There are several great websites including homeadvisor.com that very clearly show that the going rate for replacing a bathroom faucet in my father's ZIP code is around $300-$500. NOT $1,433.00! These people should be ashamed of themselves for taking financial advantage of their elderly customers. My father is on a fixed monthly income, and these pirate plumbers robbed him of a significant chuck of his monthly fixed retirement income. REAL Classy, guys!

I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere if you are in need of plumbing or HVAC repairs. There are plenty of competing companies out there that are much more honest with their pricing. You should also be aware that this company's business model clearly includes taking advantage of their elderly customers, so you should warn your aging parents, as well.

I have used a few plumbers in the area. Of them, this company was by far the most reliable, professional and expensive. On the day I called them, they came out fixed a problem one plumber failed twice to get right. They are polite and clean. They will provide you with at least 3 quotes for varying level of services and, yes, they will be expensive. One quote was a crazy proposal to replace the brand new, well-functioning water heater the plumbing was connected to! For me, it was worth it to get the problem fixed once and for all, but be alert to the unnecessary upsell and do not be afraid to haggle.

all people were polite. started with receptionist when i tried to explain we had a leak from unknown source and was assured whoever they sent would be able to locate leak and repair. the first crew had no idea what to do. they left and called someone else. second crew showed up. very competent. took 30 min to find problem and cut hole in wall to expose. but they could not make the repair. third crew showed up,40 min to make repair, using 3/4"" valve, 3/4"" 90 deg el,3/4"" coupler and 10"" of 3/4"" copper pipe. allowing 100.00 per hour including an hour travel for each crew plus 1 hr on site i would expect the bill to be approx. $650.00 to 700 max. oh no!!!!!!!! $1389.00. i hope the management of this outfit enjoy what they are getting away with for as long as it lasts. at 3 pm, water running down the wall and across the floor it was too late to get someone else so i paid them.

Had them out due to a clogged main drain. They ran a camera down the pipe and found we needed a new pipe between the house and septic. They gave us an estimate and we agreed. They told us they would refund the original charge which they have not. I have called 3 times about the refund and get the same lip service every time. The job was started over the 3rd and 4th, today is the 17th and they have never returned to finish the work. I have called about that too. Lip service. Will they ever come back or refund my money? It's not looking like it. Beware of doing business with this company!

I am only giving it a one because there isn't anything lower!! They came to our house and replaced a valve that comes out of the house to hook up the sprinkler system. They gave us for or five quotes ranging from $2500 to $983, we, of course chose the lowest as that is all we could afford. We inquired with other plumbing companies and found out it shouldn't have cost more than $300 for this valve. So we called 3 times to get an itemized bill- they said they don't do that so the manager would have to call us. He never did. The WORST company to use. Will never allow them back in our house again!!!
