Negative stars.
This company sucks. They came in for my air conditioner, said my furnace and a/c were in bad shape. Just to replace two small parts and clean my a/c unit outside, they quoted $2288.00. ???? I said no thanks. Excellence nHeating and Cooling came out and repaired the unit for $200.00. Do NOT even call this company.
By the way, this is the first time I have been driven to leave a post.

These folks will literally put you together financially and take your money! Beware of their smooth salesman and inflated diagnoses!
We waited and waited for them to come and fix an issue. We were rescheduled twice and then when we told them we had a sense of urgency to fix the issue since we were selling our home, they informed us that they have a policy not to do repairs on homes that are being sold. A ridiculous policy and lack of customer service. Complete waste of our time and for a higher price than what the competition reflects. Now we know...
I called for plumbing services for an emergency. They said they would get back to me and I would be there next appointment in the morning as I had told them that I had an appointment in the late afternoon. Not only did I have to repeatedly call them but when they finally said they could come after waiting till noon, they said it would be when I had an appointment. I was thinking they had emergency services and was wrong. I had previously called them for estimates on installing ducting in my basement and installing the plumbing and fixtures for a new bath. The ducting was estimated at nearly twice as much as Right Now HVAC who completed the work and estimated three times as much as Allen Plumbing for the bathroom. Both Allen Plumbing and Right Now HVAC did an outstanding job.
Alan P.Kelly Thurston, and Yency responded to my home to perform a maintenance check under the Service Partner plan, which I signed up for a while back. They did a thorough job of inspecting my heating and Cooling system. I was very impressed with their professionalism, kindness, and mentoring ability to teach me what they were doing, and why it was important to perform maintenance on a regular basis. I was very happy that they presented options to me to prevent unexpected failures. I would recommend their services to anyone that needs an honest forthright evaluation, and maintenance program of an HVAC system.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR BASEMENT TO FLOOD! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ACTUALLY TRIED TO CONVINCE ME IT WAS MY FAULT FOR LETTING THEM WORK ON IT!
Called them to come out and fix out water softener. The tech came out and turned on the water without checking to see if the hoses were connected properly. Woke up to basement flooding. My wife and I each spent time on the phone with the Tech- while he explained why it wasn't his fault- how whoever installed the Water Softener didn't know what they were doing and he just ""turned on the water"" and ""Sorry I didn't check to see if the hoses are connected, but we don't work on that brand- and checking to see if things are connected isn't my job"" HORRIBLE.
Had to call Rexburg Plumbing and Heating out- and he saw right away the hoses weren't connected. Fixed it right up.
Now we are stuck with a $1,000 bill for the water clean up- and the tech who came out ""Dallin"" would not transfer me to the owner when I asked if they were going to pay for the cleanup damage- said he would ""call me back later"". I'm headed out to be deployed for the Army- and I told him I needed to get it done before I leave- and speak to his owner. No phone call- no resolution. He spent all his time trying to blame my wife for not telling him what needed to be done- well that's what he's there for- He was the ""Tech"" and needed to tell us what needed to be done, e.g. have the hoses connected so the basement won't flood.
The WORST experience i've ever had with a company. DO NOT USE THEM. I'm sending this post everywhere I can think of so people don't have the same horrible experience I did.
I too wish there was something lower than a one star rating I could give this company. To say I was taken advantage of is an understatement but now I'm wiser. I'm sure they will do nothing about the price I paid and tell me it was my own fault because I did not get some other estimates.
It was late in the afternoon on Friday and all of faucets had been removed in order to replace the countertops in our house. We only need to have the old ones installed and this job was done. The plumber arrived and started to do his assessment of all of the plumbing in the house but we told him we didn't have time to do that we needed to get the faucets put in place. We had 4 bathroom faucets, a new kitchen faucet a new garbage disposal with air switch. He told us that this would cost us $3,100 dollars. I about died and my wife was shocked at the price. The plumber then asked us what we thought the job would cost. How would I know what this job would cost. I felt we were between a rock and a hard place do to the time of day and it being Friday so I signed so we could get on with it.
In the end it took the plumber 7 hours to do the work. He did replace the lines under the sinks and fixed a leaky valve in one of the bathrooms. The hourly rate worked out to be just under $433.00 per hour. I admit I'm pleased with the work done. The plumber was very good but the price is so out of line with estimates that we have gotten after the fact.
What I think is going to be the death knell of this company is the fact that we had a furnace and air conditioner installed by them a year ago and I was so impressed by their work I was sold on them. They have now broken this trust. I know in a few months they will be back to try an sell me on an extended warranty on the furnace But I don't think that will happen.
Stephenie B.We were having some issues with our furnace so we called Advanced to get an inspection for 65 dollars. He inspected it and said there were a couple pieces wrong with it and it needed cleaned. To clean it they quoted $250. To replace the two parts and clean it would be $1500. So we asked how much. New furnace would be, the tech referred us to their consultants who came later that day for 3 hrs. They just posted up and spent their time. He looked at the furnace and wouldn't tell us how much it would cost they would only tell us the per month price until I pushed and said tell me how much out of pocket paid up front. 8,000 - 16,000 for just the furnace. I asked how much the furnace was and how much were paying for labor and they refused to tell me. He then gets a pen out and starts drawing a pie chart to explain how business expenses work. I'm thinking this has to be a joke. They finally leave and we call Right Now. They break a book out after 15 minutes of checks and says 3,300 for the furnace and install and duct work. 7,000 for air conditioning and furnace. We told him what was wrong with our furnace and he said the things the tech said needed replaced wouldn't even fix it. He grabbed a couple tools and pulled the flame sensor out, cleaned it off and it worked. No charge he said.
If I could give this company no stars I would. Greg Phillips, their sales tech, came out to give an estimate on a furnace. The house is 1,000 square feet total and he quoted my father $8,000 to $18,000 to install a new furnace. Another company quoted me $3,000-$4,000 to install a furnace. My Dad is in his 70s and was almost taken advantage of. I called to speak to the owner and he was ""unavailable"" for the week. I asked for his email so I could send a complaint letter and his receptionist wouldn't give this out either. I assume he endorses this behavior since he is ""unavailable."" This company preys on the elderly. If you look at other Yelp reviews, it is clear this is a pattern with them. They are trying to pad their numbers and wallet. There is a cold, dark place in Hell for those who take advantage of the elderly on fixed incomes. Shame on you!
These people are infuriating to work with, and that's not a term I use easily. Yes they overcharge. Yes they're continually upselling you services you don't need, but none of that would earn the label infuriating.
The real problem is... they never tell you what's wrong. They make you guess.
Again, they DONT TELL YOU what's wrong.
Allow me to explain.
Suppose you have a broken water heater, anything could be wrong with it correct? Well that's why you call in a professional to tell you what's wrong. And if you called miscellaneous repairman X, he'll come over, take the water heater apart, and say ""You have a problem with so-and-so. It will cost so much to fix."" Fine, you pay the money, water heaters fixed. Everyone's happy.
Except Advanced Home Services does not work that way. They make you guess.
They do not take your water heater apart.
They do not tell you what's wrong with it.
They immediately go into upsell mode.
""Well it could it be a problem with X, which is $400. Or it could be a problem with Y which will cost you $800. You could be a problem with Z which is $1200.""
So you're like, ""So which one is it?""
They won't tell you that. They say ""You have to pay us first, and hope real hard that you guess the right problem.""
So in frustration you all but scream ""Can't you just FIX the water heater and charge me accordingly???
No. They won't.
Until they have money in hand they won't lift a single screwdriver. Money for a problem of which you have no idea, for a procedure which is a total crapshoot.
So you have to take a total flying guess as to what's wrong with your water heater, and the whole time you're sweating bullets hoping you picked the right option. There is no peace of mind, no pleasant glow of knowing your problem will be perfectly solved.
Worse, if all your water heater needed was a $5 washer, you're still out the $400.
Infuriating.
I have never worked with any other home repair service, in any city, in any state, that works like this. I've explained this procedure to other home repair services in my area and they laughed out loud. There is no personalized service. No customization. No tailoring to the needs of the consumer. Every problem is indexed, numbered, filed, and sorted like a robotic barcode. Even if you asked for personalized service you wouldn't get it. I had a minor problem with a leak, and I knew exactly what caused the leak, I knew exactly what it would take to fix the leak, but since that wasn't one of their pre-arranged, preprogrammed, pre indexed, pre-cataloged problems in their computer, they wouldn't do it. Not unless I paid the $400, for a job any other plumber in the city would charge $100. I had a leaky toilet, and one of their pre-approved solutions was ""Well for $800 we can replace the whole toilet."" This is for, like, a minor leak...
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
I'm not using these people again. My blood pressure can't handle it.
