AFR has worked on my townhome's foundation at least three times, and they no longer honor their warranty on it. When the walls were cracking again, they sent someone to take measurements, then nothing happened for six months. Eventually, they said their employee had disappeared with the measurements and they'd have to start over. ???? So they finally measured again after a few months (I had to give my HOA Manager a deadline and threaten to call my own foundation repair company because my walls had one-inch gaps by this time). They finally "repaired" the issue, which was with the attached unit, but two days later, I had a huge horizontal crack across the entire length of the adjoining wall. I let them know that whatever they had done had made the problem worse in my townhome, so they eventually took more measurements, determined the problem was completely different, and charged the HOA $88,000 to fix it. It remains to be seen whether it will actually be fixed this time, but in the meantime, they think it's okay to put a portable toilet on my front lawn near my house (see photo). This is supposedly because I wouldn't leave a key to my house, which would have allowed their employees to use my bathroom (without my permission). Very unpleasant company to work with, and apparently incompetent, judging by the results.

I would give a negative if I could. After a year of emails and arguing back and forth, still nothing good from them. The manager came out and measured my house again and verified that it was dropped in the front. He said he had to take the readings back to the office and let me know. After a week and a couple more emails he replied that my house drop doesn't meet the criteria, for warranty repair. So the split in my wood floor is a permanent thing I guess, cause it doesn't meet their criteria, that is no where to be found. The warranty does not have any criteria, or restrictions. I simply states that if there is a failure, or sinking of the piers, they would fix it free under the warranty. I would like to get the information out that this company doesn't stand behind their warranty. This is a very unprofessional company and very uncaring.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

We're getting ready to sell our home and needed a fast and reliable inspection. Got a kind and honest inspector, told us we needed no work. Glad we chose advanced!

I asked on Next Door for recommendations for reputable, honest foundation companies, and was referred to Structured Foundation. Scott came out and did a full assessment of my house. I had noticed some minor cracks in the walls, but was unsure if it was the house settling (10 years old) or if it was the beginning of actual issues. He was finished quickly with a recommendation for NO repairs, and some suggestions for things I can do over the next 1-3 years to ensure no further erosion to the ground surrounding my foundation. He noticed the erosion, and said I could easily fix any further issues and gave some very specific, economical recommendations for me to do "soon." I was looking for a company that would be honest with me if nothing was wrong, and that is exactly what I got! If I ever do need repairs in the future, or a re-inspection, I will be calling them again. Their people are all employees, insured, and have workers' comp, which is a GREAT benefit to the homeowner!!! Highly recommend.

I would NOT use this company. They DO NOT honor their warranty. The builder of my home used them if it were my choice I would NOT. They have sent a representative to come to my home numerous times to only say they have to ask a supervisor (who never ever responds or follows up) what to do even though they clearly know what the issues are. I have had other companies come to give me an estimate and they immediately recognize Advance's poor quality of work without ever saying I've had any work done. They deserve a ZERO and have the nerve to charge $75 to have someone come out to waste time. HOMEOWNERS BE AWARE YOU BASICALLY HAVE NO WARRANTY with ADVANCE they just want to keep robbing you of your money when they have no intentions of honoring their alleged "lifetime warranty" for their poor quality of work.

I still have not received a response from the manager after weeks. I was not impressed by this company's Customer Service or follow up. The reviews on their site are all excellent, but now realize only reviews they want consumers to see. I went off these reviews and now watching to look here at the real story.

I purchased my home on 10-18-16. Unfortunately, very shortly after my we moved in my wife went into hospice and died. I did not transfer my foundation warranty.
I reached out to Advanced Foundation Repair and asked if they would allow me to transfer the warranty even though I was over a year past the deadline. Without argument they transferred the warranty.
This is a compassionate family run company. I give them the highest possible recommendation.
In addition to this, the repairs they made to my foundation have performed great, and the house has stayed perfectly level.

I bought a house with a transferable warranty supposed to be honored by advance foundation repair in San Antonio, but when I tried to get documents etc of work performed, my requests via telephone, email etc were completely ignored. Total lack of professionalism, honesty and concern about customers needs. I would stay away from this company.

Great job and very reasonable in price. Also got a lifetime warranty on their work. Very satisfied.

Excellent experience from start to finish. I took bids over a two month period from 9 companies including well known foundation companies to individuals. Some of these bids were scribbled on a piece of notepaper. One man brought his wife to measure for him while he told me how great he was. Most never even laid down the level on the floor. A lot of them seemed to shoot from the hip on their bids. Advanced was very professional in their approach to measuring each area, giving me a professionally printed quote as well as a schematic showing the rippled down land under my home causing the shift (the salesman has technology in his vehicle) therefore the bid was given on the spot so no waiting for an email bid I received the information within a few minutes. I will say the sales rep (Eric Vineyard) took 2.5 hours which was very impressive. This can give you an idea how detailed and informative he was. The others spent from 10 minutes to an hour here. Bids came in from above Advanced pricing to way low - unbelievably low. Two of my neighbors told me that they have had their foundations done 3 times. I'm not interested in throwing good money after bad. In all the people I dealt with from the office staff to the workmen to Eric Vineyard everyone with this company is top notch very professional. The crews worked and ate their lunch in my front lawn every day they cleaned up before they left every day all very gentlemanly and respectful. I will add that when I asked them how long they'd been working for this company they told me how many years-many 8-9-10 years, That told me a lot that the company treats them well. They took 3 weeks to do my job including the sewer re-route (another company - Halshall Plumbing) did an excellent job very professional. My neighbor's foundation company - one I had called coincidentally - took one day for basically the same job. Halshall Plumbing performed most excellently at our home as well compared to my neighbors re-route - within a week with their plumbing re-route (done by another plumber) wound up leaking - their plumber had to come back. To tell you that the philosophy of Advanced Foundation Repair is to "take your time do it right" should be their slogan if they asked me. Yes I read the negative reviews on this site before I chose this company because I could fall upon the "wham bam thank you ma'am" experience I'd had with all the other people who came out. All the cracks went back together surprisingly. I have no complaints only kudos to this company! Thank you!
