We opened our doors in 2001 and have loved serving the residents of Utah County ever since.
I’m Mike Birchett, a licensed Master Plumber and the president of Admiral Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. Admiral Plumbing was established in April of 2001. We expanded to include heating and cooling in July 2004. I take pleasure in meeting new individuals and finding solutions. I’ve built lasting relationships with both my staff and our customers. Our customers at Admiral are amazing. My top priority each day is to foster lasting relationships with customers. The majority of our calls are from returning customers with whom we’ve built trust. I’m not one to stay in an office all day; I love working hands-on. That’s why I still work as a technician on-site. This allows me to stay personally engaged with our clients. I love hearing what they appreciate about Admiral and their suggestions for improvement.
When I’m not working in plumbing, I enjoy fishing and hitting the golf course.

Recommended Customer Reviews

They showed up with no notice. I was in the middle of a work meeting on zoom and had to leave to work with the agent came in told me that it was too much to expect the home to be at 74 degrees even though it was 82 in the house. then told my insurance company there was a sizing issue I had to call another hvac company to come look they said there was no issue. So I called them back to let them know. They never called back so I called back again and got the manager who said yea they knew there was no sizing issue but they they were going to inform the insurance company that someone had cleaned it improperly and that why it wasnt working. This was the third time they had been out with the same problem no one has been in there. The reps that came out never notated in the past and so insurance claimed that because the previous agents never mentioned it in the past it must have been done by me. Look other places very un professional and lazy

The customer support was very helpful. I had a bad experience with what I learned was an Ex employee and the team went above and beyond to fix it all. They were very patient with my frustrations and fixed the problem. I will use them again.

We were referred to Admiral to complete a cleaning and inspection of our furnace. We were promised a phone call to schedule within 3 to 4 hours - no call at all, a text message the next day. They asked if they could come out in 2 hours (11-1pm) so we changed our schedule to allow. They asked if they could be late at 1pm (when I had already waited 2 hours) and I said yes but they needed to be done by 3:30pm. They called at 3:28 to say they were 7 minutes away. Not worth the headache. Waiting 5 hours and paying $59 for 20 minutes of work is not worth it.

I needed a hose bib replaced ASAP. I twisted it off and called Admiral Plumbing for help. They were able to come out in a few hours of my call and the problem was resolved promptly. I appreciate the fast and friendly service.

Admiral Plumbing was the company sent by the Home Warranty company after we bought a house in Utah County.
We are disappointed with both their punctuality, communication, quality of service, and responsiveness to our needs.
They came out on three service calls. The first, for an AC unit that was blowing hot air in mid-summer, took a day for a serviceman to come look at the unit. Meanwhile, we had another company come give a same-day evaluation. He added coolant to the unit but said that because of the many leaks, the coolant likely would not last another day.
The next day by 9 a.m., the AC was blowing hot air again. The plumber from Admiral arrived at 9:30 a.m., took a look at the unit, and then refused to even tell us what the problem may be. He said he would need to get back to our home warranty company, who would then get back to us with an assessment. (The home warranty company took 10 days to get back to us, and by then we had called a different company and had replaced the AC, but that's not Admiral Plumbing's problem.)
When all the gas pilot lights in the house needed to be relit because their was air in the gas line of the water heater, a plumber from Admiral did come and relight the pilot lights in the gas stove and oven, but he was able to do so only because a serviceman from a different company had responded more promptly to our call and had cleared their air from the line.
The third call was for a problem with a small amount of water leaking onto a kitchen window sill. The plumber from Admiral Plumbing didn't even bother to check for possible drips from pipes upstairs, or behind the rather large access panel near the kitchen window sill, to access whether he could see any problems there; he merely indicated that he couldn't tell if it was a plumbing problem (covered) or a problem originating from an outside water source (not covered). And then he left.
Frustrated, we had another company come do a check, and they were thorough in accessing the problem, checking every possible inside source before determining that the leak came from outside the house.

Came to my house, broke my faucet, told me they couldn't fix it, turned off the water to my house and left. They called my home warranty and told them it was installed wrong, meaning it is no longer covered. Any hour came out, fixed their mistake and proved it was not installed incorrectly. They are dishonest, mediocre, rude, and lazy. I'd sooner live without water than hire them again.

Our water heater went out unexpectedly and we had guests coming that day for the weekend. I quickly called around and found these guys the best price AND they could come out in 2 hours. I am so grateful.
Isaac did a nice job installing. Super nice.

Worse diagnosis of my furnace ever. Had home warranty and tech said it was dust that was causing my walls and floor to shake when the furnace kicked on. A real have company came out and replaced it.

Pros
I used admiral plumbing multiple times through my home warranty. I enjoyed working with them the 3+ times I used them. They will always get the job done and are responsive
Cons
When I decided to use them for a non home warranty related project with my gas hookups, the person on the phone seemed like he really did not want the project and quoted my twice the price that other heating and cooling companies gave.
When they installed my water heater the 2nd time, they broke the harness that holds it in place, then charged me 100 dollars to fix it. (Probably they never knew that the broke it, I probably should have said something)
It really depends on how you use them and who comes to help. The first couple times great, the last couple of times a bit rushed and grumbly

I had guests coming over that afternoon and my guest toilet was clogged. I called them and even though they were booked til the afternoon, they were able to sneak me in in-between job sites. They were in and out in 10 minutes and my toilet is still flushing great.
