Recommended Customer Reviews
Addario's for me was great. The work they done: switch an oil system to a gas system and install 2 heat pumps for central heating/cooling. The entire job was done smoothly and in the time manner they promised having teams on each part of the job.
All of them were very nice and knowledgeable. A plus, the owner worked alongside the teams to finish the job in time and impeccable. I highly recommend Addario's company.
Ryan M.I spent $30k on the full Addario's package -- new HVAC system, ducting, hot water heater. Five years later, it's caused uncountable headaches and thousands of dollars in extra utility bills.
Horrible service, installers trashed my house, damaged property. It was June 2020, crazy COVID times, I was pregnant, my husband worked with vulnerable adults -- the installers whined CONSTANTLY about wearing masks. Like, both the workers and Joe Addario himself (over the phone) were screaming at me about it (""WHY WON'T I WEAR A MASK!? BECAUSE I'M NOT A WOMAN!"" Cool.)
Joe was a trip. He sent his teenage son, on high school summer break, to work on the crew? Oh. My. God. What a maroon. Just one of many incidents: the kid stood on top of a ladder to cut a hole for the return with a Sawzall, and started crying and yelling and swearing about getting drywall in his eyes. Like... if only something could have prevented this? I guess PPE is for women.
Speaking of the return: I found out two and a half years later that it was too small. HALF the size it needed to be. I found this out after my furnace started failing due to restricted airflow.
Around that same time, I found out that the system had never been inspected by the city, like I had paid for. That's right, they took my money, didn't get it inspected.
There were a handful of other installation issues that I raised after completion that didn't get fixed at ALL until I put my foot down about the return size (again, 2+ years after initial installation). Some of the issues (like ducts meandering in random paths or blocking doors) I just fixed myself.
Joe did fix the return size. As there were basically no other companies that service this crazy system they installed and the situation was dire, I asked for servicing and maintenance. Joe said that if I took down my original 1-star 2020 review I could ""we can start over fresh together."" Fine, whatever, I took the review down.
They scheduled an appointment and then... ghosted me. Didn't show up. I called the office, they said I was on the ""do not schedule list."" (so then, why schedule?) Surprise, surprise, Joe lied and just wanted the review taken down.
THEN (four years into the nightmare) I found out that the attic ducts had been leaking air into the uninsulated attic -- probably the whole time. There were also some issues with the dampers that I had to get another tech out to fix because I just couldn't get airflow into some of the upstairs rooms (wasn't a big deal for a while because the rooms weren't often used)
Now (five years later!) the heat pump has just given out. It's done. Failed just in time for the big heat wave last month! Hooray!
Like, I've gotten *divorced* but signing that contract with Addario's was the biggest mistake of my life.
we needed to have the water heater for our rental property as quickly as possible. Addario's took care of everything quickly and with high-quality. Everything was clearly explained. I will definitely save their number in my phone for any future jobs.
We hired Addario's to install inter-connected mini/splits at a cost of just under $30,000. In addition to poor communication, the units did not work correctly and we had to have them back several times. Their workers did not seem to understand how to work with the units. A few years after installation, we had discovered that there was mold on several surfaces in the house. The mold remediators pointed to the AC units as the source of the mold because they had been improperly installed; there was no insulation around the pipes leading in from the outside so not only was there ample space for rodents to enter and take up residence inside one of the units, the space also let in the excessive heat and humidity that of last summer, which led to the mold issue. It cost many thousands of dollars to remediate this problem, and we had a different company reinstall the units. Horrible experience.
I needed my dryer vent and refrigerator vent cleaned. Bryan & Brendon came out early and got the job done. Everything was explained to me. They did a great job. Both are very friendly and knowledgeable. Put everything back the way it was. I know I can always count on the technicians at Addario's to get the job done. I do recommend using them for all your heating , cooling and plumbing needs.
Don't ever contact Addario's unless you want a deluge of unwanted text messages that they will not stop after multiple requests. They're just kind of nuts.
Jim L.The work was good but it is exorbitant pricing I.e. a $1000 an hour for a simple job. It also took three weeks for a manager to call back to discuss the charges and ultimately provide a tiny credit without acknowledging the pricing issues or listening to the issue. They also pressure you to join the family plan which is a useless money grab. Go anywhere else but here.
They never got an inspection on a job 4 years ago and now I can't sell my house and they won't finish the job they got paid for 4 years ago. Iv heard horrible stories about them and their reviews speak for themselves.
Requested to have Dryer Hose cleaned. Told it would be $90 for a Service Call, which would be deducted if they were hired to do the full cleaning service. ""Technician"" walked around my utility room taking photos (which I did not agree to) made comments on my water system and opened the furnace and moved the switches. When he finally got to the dryer, he told me my dryer was too old, my hose was not up to code and he was not equipped to do a cleaning that day. After asking him to leave, he sat outside and did an estimate and came back in and said all of the upgrades (which I had not requested) would cost approximately $1500. He did not listen to me, he did not do what I hired him for and I was uncomfortable having him in my house, taking photos and touching things. I refused to pay the service call fee and have complained to the main office, who have not yet responded to my dissatisfaction.
Betty B.Installing a new heating system to 1st floor apt. The technician Chris was very professional and answered all of the many questions we had. Request that Chris does the installation of the unit. Felt very comfortable dealing with him.
Thank you.
