No one mentioned the $150 ""trip fee."" Really? 18 miles to Conifer/ Morrison? I never would have had them out if I would have known that- it was just conveniently added to my bill. Excessive and unprofessional- Never again!
Adams Plumbing and Heating is by far the BEST!
I built a new home they were excellent at being on schedule for install, when I had issues with anything they immediately within 24 hours took care of the problem. I would hire them again for anything regarding heating and plumbing. Love these guys!
Oren S.Harvey and the team at Adams plumbing and heating are fast and responsive and provide the most important SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. I had an issue with a water heater that they installed for the previous home owner 2 years ago and I had a small problem and emailed him in the middle of the night. Harvey called me back as soon as they opened despite being backlogged 2-3 weeks! He was patient, helpful and a good listener, he gave me options and was able to schedule a technician 24 hours later despite the fact that this wasn't a big $$$ job. They stand behind their work and won't leave you with cold water for long! Thanks Adams Plumbing & Heating
Possible the WORST company I have ever worked with in over 25 years of construction. Wes came and attempted to fix 3 toilet flush assemblies. He charged $500 for this work and never managed to do the work properly as the toilets don't flush and still run. He was ready with all sorts of excuses of why he could manage this basic plumbing work. Initially I tried to have him explain how the shut-offs and pressure regulator work in the basement and he was rude and defensive even though he didn't do and work in this area and I told him I just needed a laymen's explanation of the system. There are plenty of good plumbers with some basic courtesy out there he is not one of them. 0 stars, TERRIBLE!
Is a zero star rating possible?
Do yourself a favor DON'T HIRE Adams Plumbing & Heating. We made the hefty mistake of hiring this company to install a brand new water heater. Not only was the water heater not installed property (i.e., NOT heating water when the plumber left) - they had the audacity to LIE and say 1) they did install it correctly and 2) then recanted, stating it's our fault that they didn't properly check the water heater before leaving the house then 3) the owner refused to come back to the house unless he CHARGED us an ADDITIONAL fee to repair the issues that we initially hired them to correct.
This story ended with us hiring an attorney to rectify the issue - which cost us MORE MONEY.
Do yourself a favor, don't hire this company. Their incompetence is only exceeded by their insolence.
Scheduled a job 5 days out, I didn't have any hot water. Called me the day of the appointment and canceled on me with nothing more than we don't want to drive out there. No attempt to even reschedule, just said ""I don't know what to say"". You could have had showed little respect and either told me when I called you don't do jobs in that area, or called me at any point in the 5 days it was scheduled to tell me you were not available so I could make other plans. Instead this business waiting till the last minute and was not even slightly apologetic. Amazing you still have a business. While you may not care about these internet reviews now eventually you will...but like others in this business you will just change your company name and likely not change a thing.
Kathleen C.2/3/2016 The employees at Adams Plumbing and Heating do not give price estimates ahead of a job nor doe their technicians disclose their pricing unless specifically asked. Therefore, I think it is important for the public to know about the extremely high pricing structure of this company. I was recently charged $437.00 for a zone valve replacement and was shocked to get the bill at the end of the technician's 1 hour and 15 minute repair job (which included a $125 part). The technician said the owner was ""proud of his pricing structure"".
I had called the office earlier and they said he would not be available for a week, so when the technician showed up at my door, I thought he was from one of the other companies I had received quotes from, who typically had a $40-$60 initial trip charge.
I asked for a call from the owner, Mr. Harvey Adams and he explained I was the one in error for not specifically asking for pricing information. Mr. Harvey refused to change his bill, as I had requested because of their errors in disclosure of their pricing and discrepancies in the written invoice from when the technician actually started the job. So I told him I would let the public know, so others do not get surprised as I did.
This company charges $125 for the first 15 minutes of time, or $500/hour. They then add 15 minutes to the bill as a minimum charge, so at $125/hour, you will not even get an estimate for less than $125+31.25=$156. The 1 hour and 15 minutes of work done by this company amounted to $250/hour. In checking around with 4 other heating contractors, there is no one with this high of a pricing structure.
Although this company started to work on my zone valve replacement at 11:30 am, they justified the 11:00 time put on the invoice as ""that extra 15-20 minutes ""trip time we put in, plus the time it takes to get tools out of the truck"", and I believe this practice to be deceptive and wrong, along with no quote estimate or pricing structure volunteered by either the office or the technician who arrived at my doorstep.
While Mr. Harvey himself and the technician were both pleasant people, I would advise anyone looking for an affordable honest plumbing and heating company to look elsewhere.
Karen C.We have used them for the last time. Had new furnace installed several years ago for $10,000+. 2 years later had to replace internal workings for $3000 which they blamed on our well water. Told us we needed to have it cleaned out annually which they never told us. Came out couple months ago to fix an office zone which was not turning off and calling for heat. Cost us just under $1000. Made 3 trips for parts each costing $175 each. This is totally ridiculous and a rip off.
USE SOMEONE ELSE. They came out to fix our furnace, charged us a good deal of money to install new parts which did not fix the furnace. They said they would refund some labor if it didn't fix it, but never did. E-mails went unanswered. Also, plumbed a new sink with hot/cold backwards - not a big deal for me to fix - but they plumbed the dishwasher off the cold water also which is a tougher fix. I'll pay for someone else to fix it. Why check your work??? Horrible workmanship.
Dont trust this company! My furnace was acting up, called Adam's Plumbing to fix it, gave me a price and suggested some other maintenance which i agreed to, total cost $1200. When they were done said the problem wasnt fixed and it needed a part that was discontinued, would need retrofit, would be another $2000. They tried to sell me a new furnace for $12,500. I checked into part, it was available, cost $130 and took me 15 minutes to replace. AND they don't take credit cards. Who doesn't take credit cards? Don't trust them, beware!
