I found a plumber on Home Advisor to come and fix my leaky tub faucet. He was here 2 hours, butchered my cartridge casing in trying to get the cartridge out and told me I needed to call someone else because he couldn't help me further. Are you serious?!! Are you a plumber or not?! My water had to be shut off until I got someone. The next day I called Gary at GJ Adams Plumbing. I knew nothing about his company, there were no reviews that I could find, but took a chance because he was local, licensed and in business for 30 years.

Professional, personal, walked me through everything he was going to do. He told me he would get the rest of the cartridge out, but it wouldn't guarantee the new one would work because the guy who had worked on it the day before damaged the casing around it. I asked him to try anyway. Nope the previous guy had done too much damage. So Gary stayed, didn't charge me for that new cartridge he destroyed by seeing if it would work, replaced everything that needed to be done. He cut the wall open w/ care so that It would be easy for me to patch up (who knew to replace piping and plumbing you had to go through a wall and not be able to get to it through a little hole, ugh!).

My shower works better than ever. I am more than pleased with his work and would hire him again in a second. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is his hourly rate is a bit more than others in the Syracuse area. HOWEVER, I should have known better than to hire that first guy because as my father always said, you get what you pay for.
