Absolutely horrible experience working with Adam! For someone who prides themselves as being a great ""neighborly"" plumber; doing honest work at a fair price, I cannot agree. Perhaps this is the service Adam has provided to other's but for us, there was very little to no communication in over a month of dealing with him. Rarely would I get back anything in the form of text messages or left voicemails. Upon receipt of my first estimate (which was over two weeks from when we first met) a few items were missing in the scope of work and equipment. When I asked Adam to revise the quote, he did but again not for another two weeks and when i received that quote, it was $3000 more. Simply asked if he could walk through the numbers and see if we could make this more economical but that we wanted him to do the job. Never received a revised estimate, never showed up on the day he was supposed to start the project, never called or texted to let us know what his plan was and ultimately my basement flooded two days later. Still have yet to hear from Adam and price aside, we were willing to pay what it took to get this done and had repeatedly told him we'd like him to do the work. Unprofessional, horrible communicator and overall, serious failure to fulfill the expectations he claims to have. I'll forever be grateful to Bates Plumbing, out of Lombard. Honest, hardworking and overall very quality work!

Adam did great work. He is professional and fair on pricing.

We have had occasion to work with Adam 3-4 times now on a variety of plumbing repairs in our home. He and JT have always conducted themselves professionally and the work has been excellent. The contractors he has recommended have also been top notch. Adam is the kind of guy who will come and look at something and say, ""I'd be taking your money for nothing if I 'fix' this because there's no problem here,"" or ""I'd probably wait to do that because it isn't serious enough to replace yet."" Honest assessment, honest work, honest price. Highly recommended.

My condo building recently sent us all notices stating that we had to get our water heaters replaced. After getting several recommendations, I ended up having my hot water heater replaced by Adam Grout. He was very professional, showed up on time and completed the job, staying within the reasonable estimate provided (despite running into a few glitches with my old water heater). I'm no expert, but he appeared knowledgeable and the water heater appears to be installed properly. Neighbors who used other contractors have had issues, and have come to see mine (for comparison) when they are left with poor connections, exposed wires, etc. I have confidence that mine was installed correctly!

I was referred to Adam by a friend who's a member of the Wheaton Moms Facebook group, and everyone in the group who's used his services highly recommended him. Adam was really convenient to communicate and schedule with, and worked around my and my husband's crazy schedule. He was timely and fixed our problem (a kitchen drain/pipe clog) perfectly. I called 3 places for quotes, and no one could beat Adam and his quick turnaround. Highly recommend him!

I needed 6 small plumbing repairs done for my house and Adam was recommended to me by 2 friends at church. I called him yesterday and he was here by 8:00 this morning--right as time as promised! He brought another young man named Scott with him and they got all the jobs done successfully in 2 hours for $272.00. They both were were really nice guys and even put up with my over-friendly dog.
