Bruce is a great contractor and gets the project done in a very quick amount of time. He just finished our basement and it only took a couple weeks. We are so happy with the results, and his price was very reasonable compared to other contractors we looked at. He previously redid our master bathroom and we are in love with it. When we had a small issue with the drain, he came back and fixed it for us no charge. I would definitely use him again!

We had our basement finished by Bruce and initially we were happy with the job. The problems started when Bruce under estimated the number of studs by 185 pieces and drywall by 30 sheets. The drywallers he contracted were substandard and did a poor job drywalling and sanding. In addition we had ordered special order tile for our bathroom based on his measurements and then we're told in the middle of the tiling that there wouldn't be enough. This was another miscalculation. We had to order more tile and then after we placed the order it turned out that we did not need to. We ordered hollow core doors and got and were charged for solid core. Many decisions were made without communication with us. The icing on the cake was the paint job. We asked if he would paint for us and he said yes. We anticipated that there would be an up charge for this service. The painting was the most horrible job we had ever seen. After numerous discussions there were 3 painters in and Bruce said we expected a $3500 plus paint job and we weren't being charge that. We would have either paid the additional for a professional paint job or hired a painter ourselves. In addition, his last painter got paint on our brand new carpet. We ended up hiring a painter afterwards to correct all the mistakes that were made so in the long run it cost us over $5000 to have the basement painted. Keep in mind also that Bruce does not like special orders. He wants you to buy stock merchandise so that he can keep moving. It doesn't matter that this is your space and you have to live in it. We ended up putting a stop payment on the final check because the punch list items he did not show up for when he said he would and there was too much that needed to be fixed to warrant a final payment. We ultimately paid him so the work would get done, but it was done mediocre at best. The relationship ended badly and I would not use or recommend him again. He cost us more money in the long run to repair mistakes that he made.
