I've been working with Action Rooter for close to 20 years now, two generations of owners in a family business. We just completed a major project--replacing an old sewer line to the street in San Luis; and while their work has always been consistently excellent, they exceeded even my high expectations this time. From start to finish, they are super professional, everything with integrity, even their cleanup was top notch. Above all else, they really know what they're doing and can fix things that others leave unfinished or still broken. For me, if I've got any issue with any of my many sewer lines, Action Rooter is my number one pick. Great work and fairly priced :-). Thank you again Action Rooter!

We have a tree root clogged drain that another plumber could not dislodge. Action Rooter knew how to approach the situation and was successful. Very reasonably priced too!

Action rooter was efficient, on time, and reasonably priced. I will call them in the future if needed. I hope Tim will still be working for them when needed.

Very capable, professional, prompt, reasonably priced. I'm so stoked to have a plumber I can depend on. Every experience I have had with them has been good. They go the extra mile to get the work done and they are pleasant to be around.

As a plumbing contractor that is very busy myself I have the need to sub contract other companies. To handle jobs that are out of our equipments capabilities. We over see all subcontracted jobs. And are on site every step of the way. Dave and his crew are 100% up to our standards. Price is very fair. As I say cheap work isn't good and good work isn't cheap.

Dave the owner called back promptly after we left a message on his Action Rooter business phone. He was pleasant, asked many questions to assure he provided the appropriate information and brought the right equipment with him. He arrived, introduced himself and got right to work, all the while assuring that he addressed our questions and concerns. He is a very polite and helpful gentleman and really knows his stuff.
We thought we needed a BIG job done (as in a $6-8k sewer line replacement from the house into the street). Dave scoped our line with a camera in order to give us a SECOND opinion on exactly how to tackle this project. He allowed us to watch as he worked and explained everything his camera was showing on the small screen. It made perfect sense and we were able to see exactly what we were working with. Strangely, our eyes and Dave's very well-trained eyes saw nothing that the previous plumber (who said he scoped the pipes and charged me $200 for doing so) had stated he had seen in his $6,000 estimate. What?! I had Dave explain and show us the film again...he and we were right! This was turning out to be a much smaller problem than we had originally been told.
I hadn't seen the initial video from plumber #1 (there was an additional fee for that) and was going off of what I had hoped was a truthful assessment of our plumbing predicament. Per Dave, and per our small amount of do-it-yourselfer knowledge we have, there is no way that what needed to be done to remedy our sewer woes was going to cost $6,000! Thank goodness for that, and thank goodness for honest second opinions. You Rock, Dave at Action Rooter.
Not only is Action Rooter accommodating, knowledgeable and pleasant, but they are very reasonable human beings. Dave told us that with our basic skill sets, that we should be able to handle this job on our own. Now, that may not be the best resolution for everyone, but we have the time, strength and equipment to tackle this project on our own; however, had we been interested or needed it Dave surely told us he would be there to help. He even said that he may stop by to give us a little advice while we were digging :) He was not pushy, and he was very practical. And best of all he was honest and very helpful. He even told us ways to cut costs that didn't even involve utilizing his services and accruing fees. Another great perk to this encounter: it was TOTALLY REASONABLY PRICED! I won't mention the cost exactly in the event it changes or we just got the special of the day, but seriously, thank you!
We are a young couple and certainly could not really afford such an expensive project. This would have been a hardship and would have really complicated things. Thanks, Dave :)
Let's get digging!

My main reason for writing this is because of the poor customer service; the work was actually done satisfactorily. Their service was used because my regular plumber did not have the necessary equipment needed for outside backed up sewer line. The service was done in three hours, two of them being after 5:00. There was no work order, nor were we told upfront of their fees. The bill ended up being quite a bit more than anticipated so we asked if we could make 1/2 pmt now, 1/2 later since there would have been a fee if I used credit card.
Along with first pmt. I sent letter regarding some of their charges that seemed high; $300 camera fee and overtime charges and the fact that their website says they take credit cards but it did not state there is a fee if used, and requested they send bill to another address, which they didn't bother to do with the next bill. It became apparent after several months that all they wanted was their money since I got NO response to my first and 2nd letter I sent them, just bills.
I eventually paid the full amount (because that is what I do) after four months hoping they would agree to lower charges a bit and I was very disappointed that they didn't bother to respond to my concerns. I will not use their services again because of their high charges and poor customer service.

My landlord hired this company to replace the sewer at the home I rent. These guys are awesome! They were in and out fast. hardly interrupted my water use and kept me informed as to what was going to be done that day. Very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend them if you need to have sewer work done.

Didn't get a service from them, but was unfortunate enough to be a neighbor of someone who did.

I understand that to work on sewer lines, you have to dig up the road and block off street parking to do their job, but these workers were so rude about it and acted as if they OWNED the street. They blocked off a huge portion of the street (both sides) for five days and on the 6th day, since their signs didn't state the ""no parking"" still applied, we parked our cars on the street in front of our house. APPARENTLY, Action Rooter was BEHIND on their work and still needed the street, but didn't update their sign and instead proceeded to BANG on our door as if we had done something wrong and shouted at us from outside to move our car.

If they KNEW that they needed the street an extra day, all they needed to do was update their sign. Since they didn't, we parked on our street because THEIR signs deemed it alright. Despite their mistake, they had the nerve to obnoxiously bang on our door and demand we move our car. RUDE RUDE RUDE!

Be wary of this business!
