0 is what I rate this company . The technician worked on my tankless boiler left it worse than it was before he came along. The boiler blew up they tried to cover it from there boss or he was aware and did nothing about it. Nobody wanted to work on it after this so called company did damage to boiler. I had to fix myself. I replaced the control board and a part called the transducer. Stay away from this company . They caused me to have problems from my tenants and the local town inspectors and 5000 dollars in damage.

My wife and I recently moved to Binghamton and have had so much difficulty hiring electricians, contractors, handymen, etc. We leave voicemails with no return calls. Action was highly recommended so I gave them a call with low expectations. To my surprise a very polite lady answered and set up an appointment for us a few days later. She called me the morning of the tech arriving with a 20 minute arrival time. A very courteous and knowledgeable plumber arrived and explained everything in detail. Couldn't be more pleased.

I do not know who they had on the phone she was a lovely young lady that took my questions and story into consideration.Both my natural gas furnaces went.I have a octopus furnace that part are not made anymore. So my older next door neighbor dad came out of town to fix the gas line so we can at least have hot water and a cooking stove. Because NYSEG cut the pile line due to leaks. Advised her of this, But when she asked for my name she said please hold. Then a nasty older women said who is this well who fixed the line stated the name how he fix it does he have a license well you can tell that person to fix it because we are not touching it. Then hung up on me this is the customer service they have. I have 3 boys and one under the age of 1. Thank you so much for your help giving me hope for help then that. A fellow employee referred me to them and he said he never experienced nothing like that which brings me to think is it because of my last name and race. Because my fellow coworker has had gas furnace same as mine done from them, gas line fix and water lines. Felt really uncomfortable will not be recommending this company to anyone they might do a good job but with people like that working for them am good

On 10/1 my tenants basement flooded on a Saturday and again two weeks later. I called Vestal Water and Sewer on that day, they came and ran a hose from one man hole to another and said it looked clear, but suggested Action or Mr. Reuter to fix the problem. I do understand Saturday is premium. The gentleman from Action, a very nice man, came to my house in the evening and ran the equipment through the tenants drain to the curb. He told me there is a blockage, but thought it would be ok...he did not run the camera. I paid $810. It happened again and again I called Action early in the morning and was told it would be $200 per hour again and $300 to run the camera through. I ended up calling Drain Brain on 10/18 they came over the following morning early and ran the entire line from my side through to the curb with a camera and found that same blockage and took care of it in a matter of a couple hours and I paid $430 for the complete resolution. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The water supply line to my refrigerator pulled out of the back of my unit. I emailed ( didn't feel I needed an emergency call, as I had turned off water to the house) Action plumbing at 11 pm, I received a phone call before their office even opened. They scheduled my appt for that morning. Price was very reasonable, the employee was professional and friendly. He fixed the problem and went the extra mile to take care of the situation in a way, this will not happen again. I highly recommend this company!!

Our tub faucet has a mechanism that diverts water to the shower head was broken. Other plumberss told us we had to rip out the entire bathtub/shower unit or the cabinet on the other side of the wall to replace the shower system. I had quotes that were thousands of dollars. My painter comes along and he says he uses Action Plumbing. They ended up fixing the problem easily and for less than $150, the cost of their service fee! Later, my 22 year old furnace was breaking down and they replaced that with a high efficiency one. I love that I have a reliable plumber/heater fixer that I can depend on. Superstars!

They charged me $150, for work that took them 15 minutes, to unclog a sink drain in my basement which they then claimed was fixed. The next morning it was completely plugged again so they then said that they thought the sewer line that runs to a dry well or septic in back of the house might be frozen. Everything else in my house runs into a different city sewer line on the opposite side of the basement. They came back and looked at it to give me an estimate on what it would cost to run the sink drain to the city sewer line, and said they would call me with the estimate. I called them everyday for a week and a half and still couldn't get an estimate. I then called a different plumber but I am still out the $150 that I paid Action Plumbing for work that didn't fix anything. I will never call them again!

RUN THE OTHER WAY! If you are even considering hiring Action Plumbing, you better think again. What can I say? Faulty installation, inferior equipment (they buy from Home Depot) which they will charge you TOP DOLLAR for, equipment which is not appropriate for your home, and is installed against manufacturers guidelines. Mr. Sheldon, the owner will take you for every penny he can, and could care less whether you have health conditions or not. NEVER use this company, folks. You will regret it if you do.

We have used Action Plumbing and Heating for all of our plumbing and heating needs since 2011. Our first experience with the company was in 2011, when they came to fix a job that another plumber in the area did incorrectly after our home was flooded. Since then, we have had them to our home for various plumbing needs and furnace repairs. We recently had them install a new furnace and air filtration system, which is working great. Every experience with Action Plumbing and Heating has met, if not exceeded, our expectations. The owner, Kevin, is very knowledgeable and helpful. He, and everyone who works for his company, provide great service for fair prices. We will be recommending this company to all of our family and friends!
