Very deceptive practices. They lied about the severity of a plumbing issue that cost us $17K out of pocket. They said work would be done in 1 day, we are now at day 22 and their equipment is still on the street and has not been inspected. The invoice provided is not accutate and is not what was initally agreed upon. The invoice has the tech signing off on complered work when it was not completed. The crew damaged sidewalks, plants, they dropped wood on my car. 0 out 10, would NOT reccomended.

Asked them to come and troubleshoot a boiler in a 10 unit rental property that I own, it was very cold at the time and my tenants were without heat. Their estimate to replace two sensors and one small water valve seemed extremely high but I needed to get the heat back on so I paid half of the estimate and asked them to proceed. They showed no concern or sense of urgency that the people in the building had no heat.
A little over a week later they showed up to install the parts- they made NO difference. Their next suggestion involved ordering some very expensive parts to solve the problem, over a week and a half later they showed up (luckily by then it wasn't as cold, but it was still cold). They installed the new parts- they made NO difference. I was told that someone would call and explain what was still wrong with the boiler.
I didn't hear from anyone for four days so I called to ask what was happening, I was told that someone would call me back. No one did, I have called three more times and asked that someone would return my calls,no one has.
It has now been 31 days since they first showed up and here is what has happened - the boiler is not any different than it was, they will not return my calls, and I have been billed for $7,128.10.
I have owned and managed Commercial and Residental properties in Utah,Salt Lake, and Davis counties for 36 years and I have dealt with many contractors and other service professionals over all those years. I have never had a worse experience than this!!

If there is an option to give no stars , this business will certainly qualify! The guys who came out working on upgrading our outside electrical panel broke our newly installed water pipe. After fixing it, they left a huge mess in our yard. We complained it to the manager, he said he would try to fix it and bring a bag of bark later. Then later became never. A day later after installing the panel inside, the guys not only left two huge cracks on the wall but tons of trash in the utility room. We could not believe how bad the workmanship is, and were left speechless! If that was all they did, they would still get a star for their efforts. But what they did later was even worse!. Later they came to checkout our AC and do maintenance per membership benefits, the guys who came no only didn't do any maintenance job, but he gave us a list of problems that we should do and quote us 7k. One thing on the list was ac is low on freon. At this point, We called another company for a second opinion. After checking out our AC and performing a throughout vacuuming to the furnace, the guy from the other company told us our ac freon level is at exactly where it should be! And then one by one he checked the list of problems the Action guy gave us and told us the real information we need to know. And all that work was for zero dollar.
To all the reviewers out there: this company is dishonest to begin with, I don't believe in a second that the management does not know these lying behaviors from their employees. Yet they did nothing. They simply take advantage of customers' trust and lack of knowledge of electricity, ac, plumbing etc. etc. We are sickened on how lack of integrity those guys are! The second, the workmanship of this company is crap. They either don't have the right skill or they simply don't care. They are just so very bad! It has cost us arm and leg to learn a lesson, but you don't have to. Please please Do not trust what they quote you, always seek a second opinion.
To the management of Action, integrity is still a thing whether you value it or not. A business without it will rotten inside. Eventually Karma will always finds its way back.

Service requested was to replace my current furnace with a new equal and improved furamce. The technicians were
Lead Tegan Rossten, helper Micah. Both were very professional, very concerned for my carpet and belongings. Efficient in explanations and made certain that all my questions were answered to my satisfaction.
Very glad I called Action for help
This is my second time using the company, and I called them again because I was very impressed with the first visit. Technician that came to assrs my problem as very knowledgeable abd explained the pro and cons very professionally. Through his knowledge the decision to replace was made easy.

DO NOT call these guys. They tried to charge us $1,500 to fix our heater.. after getting a second opinion we found out the heater was under warranty!! Frauds

I HATE SCAMMERS AND THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS
Guys showed up but as soon as they arrived they were telling us we should do all sorts of unnecessary things we didn't need to have done to our toilet.
One of the guys kept talking and talking we could barely get a word in.
So after all the BS he gave us the only thing I saw them bring in was a very simple hand held auger.
They never took the toilet off to look underneath it, but kept trying to tell us we needed a new toilet and that something was wrong with it. He kept suggesting that we needed to do a System Flush.
Well our house is fairly new so we knew that wasn't needed.
I knew that he was giving us a bunch of bull-sh*t so I contacted someone I knew I could trust and he started talking to the guys and told them to stop scamming us and to get out of our house.
The guys then told us that they unplugged the toilet ~ which after they finally left we went to check the toilet and it WASN'T unplugged at all.
To top that off we had to pay them upfront as he said it was company policy.
Unfortunately Paying them over 250$ for what? a bunch of bull crap.

3 hours late to estimate. $1,145 to change three valves. And they want to reschedule the actual job. This place is unreliable and overpriced.

Promised a furnace cleaning and tune-up for $33.00. The tech who came to our house was very warm and friendly and we were just wanting the cleaning. He had a ""partner"" who showed up about an hour later and we felt like we were at a used car dealership. They convinced us that we would be able to have our furnace working for a few more months, or maybe years....if they just tuned up a few things. $1980.00+. His partner tried to barter a price on a new furnace....upwards to $14,000. Told us the deal was only good for two weeks. Holy Moly! That was no ""deal"". It was a very unpleasant experience and we would never recommend anyone using this company.

This review is long overdue but better late than never. This outfit is a scam. The way they operate is to mail out glossy postcards advertising deep discounts but in reality what they're looking to do is fleece homeowners for as much as they can. If you call them out for a minor repair they will immediately try to up-sell, at exorbitant rates, whatever they think they can up-sell.
In my case I had a leak from a bathub faucet. When I called Action Plumbing they said that they had a ""Service Charge"" of $59 which sounded reasonable. The two plumbers arrived - a fellow called Jason and his cohort. As soon as they arrived they ignored the leak and asked to look at the water heater, the furnaces, and HVAC systems. They then offered to sell me a whole-house water softener for several thousand dollars and also do all kinds of maintenance on the water heater and the furnaces.
When they finally looked at the leak they said they could fix it and quoted a price of $450. As naive as I was I agreed because I knew I was already going to be out $59 for the service charge. The two guys then said that they had to go and get a replacement cartridge for the shower and left the house. They came back in 20 minutes and spent all of five minutes to replace the cartridge. The invoice showed a charge of $159 for the cartridge and ""Minimum Labor"" of $212. The exact same OEM cartridge was available for $50.61 at either Home Depot or Lowes and a comparable cartridge from Amazon only costs $20. These scammers merely went nd picked it up from Home Depot and marked it up over 200%. The ""Minimum Labor"" of $212 is a far cry from the supposed ""Service Charge"" of $59 and is a complete rip off. Later on I called a handyman to ask if he would have fixed it for less and he said that if I had procured the replacement cartridge myself and he said that he had a minimum rate of $60 - so it would have cost me $80 total. I suspect that if I had watched a 15-minute YouTube video and gotten the $20 cartridge from Amazon I could have just done it myself - for $20 - instead of the $450 rip-off.
Later on, I called Jason at Action Plumbing and told him that the $450 was completely unreasonable - especially given the enormous markup on the cartridge. He said that they need to do that to cover ""overhead"". More scamming. A few days later I called them back because they had not installed the cartridge correctly and we could not turn the water to hot. The woman answering the phone threatened to charge me another $68 to have the plumbers come out and fix their mistake. I, in turn, threatened to take it up with my credit card company. Finally, they sent that fellow Jason out again and he came and fixed his mistake. So, not only are they scammers, they are also incompetent scammers.
Avoid this outfit at all costs.

We called Action for an AC tuneup before it got too hot. The tech showed up and gave us grave news: that both the AC and furnace were in dire need of immediate replacement. He said that the AC was leaking chemicals that ""are the same thing they used to kill people in WWII"" and that our furnace could ""short circuit and start a fire at any moment. He advised that we not even turn either of them on and replace them right away. Not knowing anything about HVAC, I was understandably nervous, and set up for their sales guy to come give me a bid. The guy shows up and gives me a bid to replace both that was nearly $13,000. Told him I'd need to get other bids, and he was very adamant that I needed to buy right then because ""I might not be able to offer this price tomorrow"".
I had two other companies come out and look at it the next day. Both companies said that neither unit was in need of replacement in any way, and there certainly wasn't any danger in turning them on. They needed some minimal cleaning and tune-up (a couple hundred bucks), but that was it. I also asked what it would cost IF they did need to be replaced. Both quoted me about half of what Action did.
Action is all about the immediate, ridiculously expensive upsell using scare tactics. Don't fall for it and get other bids. I won't ever have them back again.
