We have used Action One Plumbing several times for both basic work and emergencies and we have always been pleased with their services. This time with Javier was no exception. He was professional and polite from the beginning and was patient and thorough when the job ended up being a bit bigger than expected. Our house is brick and on a concrete slab so the labor was a bit more intensive than expected. The work seems to have been done well and Javier was very tidy. We will continue to use them.

We had 120 people in our dance studio when the plumbing decided to back up half of Burbank into our bathrooms. Javier came out right away and with his partner got us flowing again. Thank you, these guys were professional and a pleasure to deal with during a stressful time.

I went from having them out to clean out a drainage pipe, to replumbing all drainage piping under the kitchen/laundry side of the house....for which we were charged over $7,200. I was stupid for not getting another bid, and now feel that the pipe maybe wasn't really broken under the house as Charles told me. Also had them run a new section of sewer pipe at the sidewalk connection to the city sewer for $3,500. They apparently did adequate work in both instances, but I feel now, after observing what was done, that I was significantly over charged, and perhaps taken advantage of as a senior. I blame myself for not getting other estimates....and there is evidence they broke a sewer line on purpose to justify the repiping under the house. In years past I would have crawled under the house to check, but cannot do that these days. Seniors beware of these guys...Charles seems knowledgable, but get a second opinion!

Great! I called because my dishwasher wasn't draining. I got a step-by-step trouble shooting lesson over the phone from Steve! I think I still need a house call but I am grateful to have had some advice and explicit instructions on what to check. I so appreciate it!!

I saw their ad on the Local Flavor magazine; and the first plumbing company to respond back on a Saturday afternoon. Quick & easy garbage disposal replacement by their plumber(Julian). Probably better if I had bought the disposal myself and have them install it. Prices are comparable to other plumbing companies around. Highly recommend this company for their service. Steve(owner) has been in the plumbing for 30 years. As long as you're happy, he's happy. Highly recommend them as your choice for your next plumbing service.

These guys fixed my plumbing problem in minutes! They are fast and courteous. They were also very prompt on arriving at my scheduled time. Javier did the work with his helper, and he was right up front in explaining the problem, new how to solve it immediately, and got it done. I highly recommend them.

If there was the option to submit a negative star, I would have selected that instead. I am a landlord and my tenant reported a pretty significant leak under the kitchen sink. I looked on line and found Action One plumbing. The site indicated they offered free estimates so I passed the contact number to my tenant with the instructions to obtain an estimate and let me know the cost prior to the start of any work. She was impressed that they would respond within the hour...Great. A short time later I was notified by my tenant that Javier showed up, ""tightened something under the sink"" and gave her an invoice for $125 dollars! She explained that he had not been authorized to do the work, only provide the free estimate. His response? We don't do free estimates, and we charge a ""driving fee"". She reiterated that she was supposed to get approval for the cost first from her landlord, but he insisted that he did the work so she owed him the money. She paid him and he was on his way. She contacted me immediately to explain, showed the invoice to me. (Which was illegible so I still have no idea what he did to fix the leak!)
I immediately called back Action One and spoke to a female employee who told me the owner was not available to speak to but would try to help. She eventually broke down and gave me the contact number for Steve, the owner. My first question is how is this guy still in business with the practices he supports? I explained the situation to Steve and he stated that they do not give free estimates in person, only over the phone. Now I may not be the most intelligent person in the world but when a website states ""Free Estimates"" and ""call us today for a free estimate"", I think it is safe to assume that they will offer a free estimate. However, business owner Steve explained that they only provide free estimates over the phone. Really? So they can provide an accurate estimate for a ""leak"" having never laid eyes on the problem? Wow! Seems far fetched to me. Next he explained that this was called in as a job, not an estimate therefore his plumber was authorized to complete the work, despite the tenant informing Javier that she needed authorization from her landlord prior to anything. This next piece is priceless...he asked what I wanted him to do about it and I told him I expected him to return payment to my tenant. He agreed and then threatened that he would also have the plumber go into the house and ""unrepair"" the leak because I could not expect to not pay for a completed job....SERIOUSLY?!?! I explained that if anyone attempted to step foot in the home, I would have the police there to greet them. He then threatened me that he would call his attorney and get back to me. Within 15 minutes, my tenant contacted me to state that ""the man"" called her, apologized and stated he would not cash her check.
Oh and I forgot, they also stated they were giving her a $50 discount so she could write a review on Yelp...so in keeping to her word, here is the review. I hope you have found it helpful.

Arrived on time at the time they said. Quickly identified the problem and fixed it! Looked and behaved professionally.
