Woke up to a clogged kitchen sink. I called all around and nobody could come for two days. My son was getting married in two days. I was frantic by this point.

Calvin Jones answered my call and got my pipes cleared in about an hour. The two men were professional, courteous, went straight to the problem and got the job done AND charged me less than all the other companies that I had contacted.

Acrylic paint down our garbage disposal has been causing it to seize up. Nope, we didn't do it but some lazy painters did. I called Action Drain based on reviews and I'm thrilled. Responsible, honest, and professional, Calvin came out and fixed my garbage disposal within a few minutes and only charged the service call ($50). Contrast that with Petersen that charged $175 for the same fix a couple of months ago.
Not only that, Calvin showed me what needed to be done to unstick the disposal and recommended some good contractors for other tasks in our house.

I needed a plumber about a month ago, asked my bestie if he remembered who he had recommended the last time. No such luck. Sad panda moment. So I checked Yelp, went through a million different companies in my area. Finally came to Action Drain. What stood out to me with them is every single review is 5 stars, even the ones not recommended, which I read through. I literally checked every single review on here.

I called Ryan and asked if he scheduled appointments ahead of time, which he did. Perfect. I had to balance putting in my flooring with the delivery of my washer and dryer, with clearing the pipe in the middle, plus a crazy schedule. So everything had to fall into place perfectly.

Ryan was more than happy to work with my crazy schedule. I gave him a day, and said between 10-11am would be perfect. He said he would be there at 11, told me it would take 20-60 minutes, the average being 30 and it would be $75, unless he ran into a major problem and we would discuss that before he did any work.

He arrives at 10:45, so he was early. I was pleasantly surprised, as most plumbers give you a time block and aren't on time. Ryan had it together and was early. This surprised me. I fully expected to be waiting on him and bored. He almost came across like I was his only customer, and he had the time to take care of what I needed.

Ryan was super respectful, I had asked him never to leave doors open, as I have two furry escape artists, who will run given the opportunity. He went in and out a couple times, never leaving doors open. It amazes me how many contractors do though. He asked for an old towel to put his machine on since I had just put down brand new flooring 48 hours earlier. He was quite careful not to destroy all of my hard work.

He finished pretty quickly, within the ""average"" time, as he described it. He took an old washer hose to pour some water in and try it out. Nothing came back up, but given the small amount of water without pressure from the washer, it was difficult to tell if it had worked or not. He knew the washer and dryer would be here the following day. So he reminded me that he warranties his work for 30 days. Great, I would know within a couple days once the washer and dryer were in and put to use.

Ryan was great. I love that I'm calling a small, local business, and he was very clear about prices, warranties, no surprises. He was super respectful of being in my home and my space, not damaging anything or making tons of noise that wasn't necessary, listened to my requests like about closing doors. It almost felt like having a friend come in and work on something in the house for you, if that makes any sense. I highly recommend calling Action Drain for any plumbing problems. I will never call anyone else after Ryan was here.
