Glen R.Ac stopped blowing cold had them come out. $79 dollar service call they wave the $79 if they do the repair. Replaced a $20 dollar part charged $203. Guy was there for 10 min. In short I should have did a little research and replaced the part my self. They guy that came out was not overly friendly and replaced the part before I even said I was willing to pay for the work. Probably won't use them again.

Had their tech out for just a service call tune up on their promotion. He said that we needed a contactor and a capacitor. Quoted 203.00 per part. Got offended when I said I wanted to look up parts price before purchasing. I asked if I found the parts if they would install he said no. I found both parts online and cost me about 60 for both including shipping. He tried to convince me that I needed to buy his parts because if I needed a new unit he would credit me back the cost of the parts. I asked who I would talk to about cost of a new unit - of course it was him. So a tech who is also your sales rep means they want the sale more than they want to give you good service. I was mislead by all the positive reviews.
Sonya B.I called yesterday after a couple of weeks with no AC in this Indy humidity! They put me on a cancellation list which I was already on a few but just trying to get someone as quick as possible. I have a 100 pound Great Pyrenees who was not enjoying the heat either. To my surprise they called and could get me in same day! Mitchell showed up and was very nice, easy to speak with and very friendly with all my crazy dogs. It started thundering and lightening with rain coming any minute. He worked as quick as possible to get my AC recharged and got completely soaked finishing up! But he finished and was still smiling. The work was finished for less than 6 quotes and estimates I had received! He also sold me on a warranty they carry that offers 2 service calls a year and they make sure the system is working good. Fantastic customer service, super nice staff from the person answering the phone (I forgot her name) to the two technicians that came to my house (Jeff & CJ). Very knowledgeable and quick. It's a locally owned company which is also nice. They were the most professional people to ever service my AC (I've had a few). Would highly recommend.
Tom M.I have been using action air for several years. I had to replace my original HVAC system last year. The new equipment is great, as is the service.
I had to have the AC moved as it had a vibration that was disturbing and bothersome. We had to upgrade the AC unit as the original was too small to cool our house (it was installed by another company when the house was build).
All I had to do was email Karen at Action Air and she was on it. The office staff is responsive to emails and the sent out Kelton S to move the unit. I expected a debate or reason why it should remain where it was. Instead Kelton got right to work and moved the unit to where the old one was. Problem solved, customer satisfaction is not just a saying with Action Air, but an Action. From the office staff, to Young, but experienced Kelton S they go the extra mile.
When our warranty company was not honest with us, we seeked out a second opinion from Action Air. A technician from Action Air promptly came out and fixed the issue with no problem. Highly recommend this company!
Used them for years and were very happy with their sevice until the last two years. They would service the units but seemed more concerned with what else they could sell on top of the service. I am discontinuing their use.

I just had Action Air come out to my house and diagnose a furnace failure. They told me the primary circuit board had failed and the fan capacitor needed to be replaced. This diagnosis cost me $79 which isn't too bad; however, the cost to replace the circuit board ($889) and fan capacitor ($194) seemed very high. The technician tried to talk me into the ""silver club"" pricing which would have saved me 10%. instead, I call Grove Heating and A/C and had a second opinion. Grove came out the same day, charged me $60 and concluded the circuit board was bad but the fan capacitor was fine but could be replaced (had a slightly lower than normal reading). Grove replaced the circuit board for $425.34 and the fan capacitor for $36.95.
I would have spent $1083 (plus tax) for the same exact thing as Grove installed for $462. This was shocking!
Also, Action Air never did return the call as a follow-up to my inquiry about a new furnace.
My neighbors had recommended Action Air and have now decided to cancel their yearly service because of my experience.
Polite, competent, easy-to-understand technician. He quickly diagnosed a service issue with our PTAC unit, then did a thorough maintenance routine on our HVAC furnace. I particularly appreciated that he fully explained what he found and gave me alternatives for correcting issues. Would definitely recommend!
