They charged $125 just to come out! By the time he called, he wouldn't have made the appointment time. No one mentioned the $125 fee! UPDATE 12/30/2021: I was contacted after placing this review. Bernie called to state that he was sorry that the fee of $125 was not stated upon making the appointment with their schedulers. At that time, he did offer to come out for an estimate, and would waive the fee. I mentioned that his staff should know to state there is a fee to ALL possible customers. He agreed, and we scheduled an appointment, but I cancelled because of other choices that we're open to me. Bernie did try to make it right. After cancelling the appointment, his office scheduler then called and told me to take down this review or give them 5 stars. Because of that, I'm leaving the review,. I feel that demand was inappropriate. These customer service people he has answering the phones should be retaught what it means to deliver customer service. I have raised my review one star to reflect Bernie's waiver of the $125 fee.

Company came out, Day #1, to fix a prior company's """"fix"""" of one of my seven zones. I had very low pressure. They are VERY good at customer communication. They call to tell you they are coming When I called to find out what day they'd be back out, I got an immediate call the next morning. So they showed me a leaky valve, installed by the last company, and said that there was not enough room to fix it, my whole assembly holding my irrigation valves needed re-plumbed. It was, he said, at least a 4-6 hour job which he probably could not finish today. But that was the problem that needed fixed. Estimate took 5 minutes to come back, $1150. I was stunned. It was true that it needed rebuilt, space was at a premium. I had to have my pool pump and heater re-plumbed last year. $300. Much more intricate but more space in which to work. But with new sod coming in, I was desperate and the company, according to my neighbor who referred them, was very reliable, """"But definitely not the cheapest"""". Incredibly, the valves were re-plumbed in two and a half hours!! But still no pressure!! The technician told me they HAD to get to the next customer, but he would call it in and try and be back today. If not, they would be back """"soon"""". They did come out the next day. Day #2 was rainy, wet and hard to work, but the female crew leader slogged through it. Found a leak. Then another, fixed them, still no pressure!! It was now raining so hard they had to leave. I was assured the fix of the pipes was free. Day #3, leaks from broken lines 3 & 4 got fixed. With the fifth break they said they would have to charge me. Their standard cost for a pipe fix was $150. Well, they had done quite a few lines fixed free, I was desperate, so I said, sure, fix them. But, I would fix any further breaks. Finally, pressure!!! At 6:00pm, I went to my controller, turned on all zones in order.....and nothing. Earlier in the day the zone controller did not work for the tech either, they had to turn on zones manually, hand turning valves. But I thought it was fixed, no one said anything to me!! Not one zone came on. So it either a) broke at the precise day they left, quite a coincidence for a digital controller b) shorted controller out somehow when they were rewiring the valves or 3) it's hooked up wrong. But, when I called this morning to say, hey, I got $600 worth of sod here, we paid your $1300 promptly AMD MY SPRINKLERS DON'T WORK. He said he would have a crew here in 5 or 6 days. I reminded him of sod, the $$$, and I got nowhere. My wife called and after telling them to listen to reason, they agreed on a """"free"""" systems check at 11:00am. The controller, here for 4 years, digital, had stopped working. Weird coincidence? They ended up replacing my controller, free of charge. I will use them again. They pay their people well, anyway.

Called one of the five star reviewed companies and was told it would be next week before a technician could get to us or we could pay an extra fee for an emergency call and they would come sooner. Called ACS, Bernie and Carlos came the next day, earlier than promised, to repair a cracked sprinkler line , fixed it and in the process discovered a crack in another line adjacent/parallel to the original. They fixed the adjacent line and installed a brand new sprinkler head that sprays and covers my flower bed much better than the old one. Now everything is working beautifully and my husband and I are very happy with a job well done! Thank you and I would definitely use ACS again in our future projects.

I contacted ACS to reroute some underground sprinkler irrigation pipe that had separated at a 4-way due to some overgrown oak roots. Based on previous reviews and communication with Laura / Bernie, I had high hopes the issue would be resolved quickly. The techs showed up late on a Fri (way past my appt) and convinced me rerouting would not be necessary, since they could just use flex tubing as a repair method. I went along with this as a quick and cheap solution, since I desperately needed to water my dying grass. I should have raised a red flag when they asked if I had any extra 1 inch couplers. During the initial test, the repair didn't hold which they blamed on the new glue they had tried that didn't require primer. After cutting a longer section of tubing and reattaching with primer & glue, it held. However, half of the repair was sticking out of the ground. I wasn't happy, but just let it go since I perhaps would be able to cover it up with mulch. A few weeks later (~3 watering cycles), I noticed no pressure on that sprinkler zone and water coming out of the ground in the exact same spot. After calling ACS back out, the techs claimed that an adjacent pipe was now leaking, not the original one they had worked on and would not warranty the repair. This would end up costing me double and still leave me with just a temporary solution. Either they did not identify / repair the original problem or while digging they caused another leak. I felt they should have honored their warranty or quoted me properly upfront which would have led me to stick with the original plan of rerouting. I spoke to Bernie who was very professional, but did not see things my way and simply offered a discount on the reroute or future repairs. I ended up replacing the two 90 deg elbows (on the right) as well as the spaghetti repair with a proper 4-way allowing everything to be buried neatly. I had to get a little dirty, but everything has been working fine since.

Never again...way too expensive and made a big mess in my yard. Ugh... Wish I'd checked with Yelp before hiring...warning, their solicited reviews that pop up in Goggle looked great. They sent a """"senior technician""""...I'd hate to see the B team.

Do not use these people! They came to my house to fix my sprinkler system. I told them that station three and station five were not working and I had already replaced the solenoids. They did an inspection and told me that the diaphragms inside the valves were bad. They replaced the guts in two valves and the stations still did not work. That tells me that they never checked the wiring. So now they check the wiring and find out that the wires are cut somewhere along the line. Now they want more money to replace the wiring. After they replaced parts that were not broken. At this point I'm into them for $325 for replacing parts that weren't broken. So they wound up wiring two stations together. So now station two and station three come on at the same time and station four and five come on at the same time. Luckily I have enough water pressure for this to be OK. So I paid $325 for them replacing parts that weren't bad and jerry rigging my wiring! What a rip off!

This company is the worst! Went from needing one irrigation valve to two to a wiring inspection/repair to replacing the controller...at the total cost of $700+. All with the promise of a receipt, despite multiple texts, calls, emails and promises form the company's """"Project Manager"""". Don't know where the 4+ rating on Google comes from, but PLEASE check reviews here and BBB (an F!)!!

I noticed my water bill was getting high. After a few months it was almost 3x what I thought it should be. I knew there were issues with the irrigation system. I called ACS. They were available the next business day. A small team of 3 people came out to review my system, my control panel, and they found 3 leaks. They were very professional about it, and corrected the issues within an hour. I know I couldnt have fixed these leaks myself, and I appreciate ACS being so responsive and dependable. They were running late the morning of the appointment; but they phoned regularly to let me know their status. Very professional. I highly recommend ACS, and going forward I now know I have a dependable team to help me with my irrigation system when I need help.

I had ACS Irrigation come out and do a basic service on my sprinkler system. The cost to come out was $75 and if they found anything that they needed to repair they charge for that, which I think is normal. The problem that I have is that they charged $60 for one rotary sprinkler head, which I think you can get for around $10 at Home Depot. They also charged $15 apiece for 4 adjustable sprinkler nozzles, which cost around $2. So my final bill was $195 which is a total rip off. I will not use these guys again for my sprinkler system.

I had service done on my irrigation system. Since the repair, a section continues to run beyond the scheduled time. I initially received services on my property on 8/27/18. I had one sprinkler head replaced along with a valve replacement and some other minor sprinkler repairs. I noticed later that day that one of the sections was still running at 5:00PM. Not only is this not a scheduled watering day but the sections are scheduled to run at 5:00AM and for 15 minute increments. This would time the irrigation cycle to end at about 7:00AM if 7 sections are scheduled to run. I called ACS that day and someone came on on 8/28/18 and stated that the reason for this was because of there two scheduled watering times. Although this made no sense to me due to the information I just provided about the scheduled watering times, I trusted the service man's expertise and made no fuss of it. The service man changed the scheduling time to 1 time per day and disabled two sections stating that there are no sprinklers in those sections. Then on 9/2/18. I noticed the same issue, with the same section. This sections was running for over an hour although it was scheduled to run only for 15 minutes. The only way to stop this was to turn off the main water supply to the irrigation system. I called ACS again and scheduled someone to come out. Later that day I postponed the service call due to wanting to see if the issue would continue during the next service day. Today, 9/23/18 I noticed the same issue with the same section. I called ACS today and described the issue I was having again. The person I spoke with stated that what ever is going wrong is not something they did and must be a scheduling issue. This seems impossible to me because I did not have this issue prior to having my property serviced.
