I have a friend in Indy who used the Acme Plumbing company to fix two toilets. They put a new toilet kit in each toilet and were done in under an hour. The company charged this old lady more than $1,000 dollars. I looked up toilet kits at Amazon. The most expensive one at the time of this writing (03-2025) was $30. So, if the company put two $30 toilet kits in the toilet tanks, with $100 for the service call and say even if Acme charged $200 for being in her house for under one hour, that would be $460. The company also did not give her an itemized bill. I called the company because the woman is elderly and alone. The representative said, ""She could have refused the service."" They didn't tell her the price until they were done. I asked the representative why my friend didn't get an itemized bill. The representative said, ""We don't do itemized bills."" Wow - that relieves the company of any obligation or accountability of its work. My friend is a little slow, and she may have early stages of dementia. So, this company decided she would be the perfect person to take advantage of. Think about it - more than $1,000 for installing two toilet kits ... taking advantage of an elderly woman because they could. I'm laying out the facts. You decide if this company is honest. Extra note: I contacted a plumbing company in Indianapolis. I asked the cost (I did not explain the situation). I was told that it could cost between $300 to $600 to install toilet kits in two bathroom toilets.
I called them out for my septic tank and they said I needed a whole new septic system $33,000 dollars. Called out Hope Plumbing and I was fixed up for under $200 dollar and a year later it still working fine. This company cannot be trusted .

My wife and I have used Acme multiple times over the years at multiple different properties. Its funny that Shane has been on the truck multiple times as he is absolutely knowledgeable and professional. The value of him taking the time to explain everything helps quite a bit. He took extra time as we have multiple houses on our property now, to show me how to locate the 2nd one. While he was packing up, he got double the work and was happy to empty the second septic. Will absolutely use them again.
We had an emergency on a Sunday. Dave was out in an hour, made a game plan and was out the next day for the entire day fixing the issues. He was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Thanks Dave, and everyone else!
We recently purchased our home and shortly after moving in we started having septic problems. We had a few other companies come out and they just told us to ""be careful about how much water we were using"" as we had an old septic system, never once did they look deeper into our issues. One went so far as to tell me (sight unseen) that we needed a new system and it would be $30k.
Jump forward to 2 septic pumps in 2 weeks, I decided to call Acme to come out and try to diagnose our issues. The person I spoke with at the office was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, telling me they would have someone out very early the next day. Michael came out the following morning, took time to listen to me and try to understand what we were experiencing then immediately went to work. He discovered we had a compromised leech field and began discussing our options. He very easily could have told us that we were out of luck and needed a new system but instead he told us a rejuvenation would get us back up and running for a fraction of the cost. He sat with us patiently while we were waiting for the financing coming through, as soon as it did he got right to work. The same day he came out he had diagnosed and fixed our problem while also identifying some other issues we were having, which we (homeowners) opted to skip for the sake of saving money.
A few days later those issues he was concerned with, ended up becoming bigger problems. Michael came back out to take a look, free of charge, and confirmed that it was a bad pump. Again, within the same hour we had a new pump on site and he was hard at work replacing it for us and explaining the whole process to me so I could better understand our system. Extremely impressed with his professionalism.
This could have easily been 10x more stressful on our family and our finances but rather than gouging us, Michael saw to get us back up and running in the most cost effective way.
ACME will be the ONLY number I call when I have any issues with our septic. They have earned my trust and confidence time and time again. Do yourself a favor and call these guys!
(There was a few other individuals that showed up to help with the job, however I unfortunately do not remember their names but they were also extremely kind and professional)
Monica L.Acme Plumbing repaired/replaced tub spout and water spigots. We are very pleased with the repair and professionalism of the plumbers. If you have leaky spigots, get them replaced! The new spigots are aesthetically pleasing. Great job ACME PLUMBING!
Daniel F.Our hot water heater went out during a snowstorm and even though schools were delayed, James and the field
Manager Dave came out first thing. They were incredibly helpful and taught us about piping issues with our old home. They had us fixed up quickly and now we're back in hot water!
Krystal C.We are so impressed by the professionalism and the knowledge that comes with the technicians at ACME! We personally had an awesome (as awesome as sewage can be) experience in dealing with Michael!! He was incredibly on point when it came to what our issue was and his plan of action got us up and running the same day! He was super nice and came back the next day to finish the job (considering he was here late, after dark, on a Monday evening). We are very thankful for his expertise and weren't completely taken back by the cost! Extremely affordable! We HIGHLY recommend using them for all your plumbing, sewer and septic needs! We also HIGHLY recommend asking for Michael! He's great! Thank you, ACME!
After scheduling a radio promo screening of my plumbing and gas fixtures located within my home, in which the technician showed up 1 1/2 hours late, I was highly disappointed with ACME Plumbing only minutes into the screening process. The service rep that showed up to perform the screening immediately caused damage to my water heater and made a mess on my garage floor with water flooding from my water. He had managed to cause my water heater relief valve to malfunction almost upon his command. I saw the handwriting on the wall, asked him to fix what he broke, clean up his mess and vacate the remainder of the inspection. I was afraid of what else they may ""break"" in order to justify their ""recommended"" repairs. It seems like the old auto mechanic who miraculously finds something wrong with your vehicle when nothing was wrong to begin with. After breaking my water relief valve, the rep or technician realized he did not have any repair parts with him to fix the problem. He had to leave my residence without any water for approximately one hour while he drove to the nearest hardware store in search of a new relief valve. In conclusion, approximately 4 hours from the initial scheduled start time of the appointment, I ended up paying the technician $39.95 for causing me 4 hours of misery and mess. So to everyone and anyone out there that may be specifically looking to have a bad day and then pay for it as well, just call ACME Plumbing located at 3702 S. Shadeland Ave; Indianapolis, IN., they will be glad to help you out.
Scheduling was easy, very polite @ the office/scheduling & service the next day! We needed our septic tank pumped & their employee, Shane Knight, was wonderful to deal with. Prompt service & called prior to coming, & just about right on the targeted time given to me! I would use them again!
