I have used this company for years for my backflow testing. Spoke with Steve today about why they never showed up for the scheduled appointment. I was told ""he never got the message"" are you serious? Oh, but then he tells me that he is booked and can't get my testing done by the date required. Was completely rude to me. I will never ever use this company again!

I've used Ackerman plumbing twice now. They are very skilled, friendly and very reasonable. I had all my toilets changed out and today, Steven put in new trim kits for me. He showed be several things and reassured me about some noisy pipes (not a problem). I'll have them back in the next few months to change out all my shut off valves. Terrific company!

The plumber who arrived discovered a hidden, and challenging, issue with our plumbing system. His experience, knowledge, and care for his customers showed through in his determination (and success!) in finding a creative, inexpensive, and effective solution to our unique problem.

Additionally, we really appreciated his frequent check-ins in regards to both scheduling, and our options and decisions about our plumbing system.

I used Ackerman Plumbing to replace two sinks/faucets/toilets in my bathrooms and was extremely happy with the job that was performed.
I have a 1900s house with a number of non-standard plumbing arrangements which made this project tricky but Ackerman handled it without a problem. They made useful suggestions for overcoming the hook-up issues, were very helpful in making sure that I was selecting the correct parts and executed the installations professionally. They were always prompt, courteous and honest. Finally, their attention to aesthetic detail was exceptional - I am very particular about things being centered, squared and even and they got it right the first time in most cases or quickly made adjustments when requested.
As for pricing, they were extremely reasonable on the fixtures (often coming in under the Ferguson retail prices even though they offered warranty coverage above and beyond the manufacturer's) and service charges were competitive with other plumbing services.
I will definitely use Ackerman again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Both of the Steven's (father/son pair I believe) are extremely knowledge and helpful. We had a hard time finding someone who could service our manafold water system and they were quick to research and find a solution/suitable replacement. Ackerman is not cheap but they are fair and worth every penny. They fix the problem the right way, the first time which is wonderful. We are moving out of their service area and are lamenting we can't bring them with us to help with our new home.

Customer service is great! At their initiative, Ackerman helped figure out the problem before ever coming out, which saved me money for their time. They were flexible, tried to find options that we liked, and responsive. We ended up replacing our toilet and the installation looks and works great.

Spoke to several different plumbers and read reviews off Angies List before I ended up going with Ackerman Plumbing. Steven Jr. and his apprentice came out to my house during our kitchen remodel. The plumbing project included relocation of water lines in kitchen sink, installation of new waste piping in kitchen, new sink vent for both kitchen and washer, and water supply installed for fridge.
Steven was very professional, arrived on time and got the job done in the predicted time. The downside was that the job ended up being about 50% more expensive than estimated due to some piping beneath the house that needed to be replaced and took an extra couple hours. Would like to have known about this ahead of time...
The permitting was taken care of by them, although I had to call and remind them to schedule the final inspection. Overall, very nice and professional and I have no regrets using their services.

My husband and I cannot thank APS enough for being so responsive in our emergency situation. Our pipes froze and then burst in 4 different places on a Sunday afternoon and Steven Jr. was out within 30 minutes of me calling. He quickly assessed the situation and showed us where the breaks were and explained why the pipes had frozen and where. Being first time homeowners and only living in our first home for 4 months, we were very unsure of how to handle the situation. Steven was incredible! He had us up and running with water to the rest of the house within 2 hours and replaced the old copper pipe with A Pex piping that will not be as likely to burst. He also showed us how to avoid this situation in the future, walked us through the process of winterizing the home for next year, etc. He took his time but was also very efficient and gave us a fair price! His card is on our fridge and we will definitely be calling him for our next plumbing need.
