I am beyond impressed with this plumbing company. To start, I am a busy person but that did not stop Steve with Ackerman Plumbing from playing the telephone tag game for a few weeks. Finally, when we realized our schedules were not going to sync up for several weeks, Steve went out of his way to stop at my house on his way out of town over the weekend. And it gets better. Steve identified the leak and was able to temporarily stop it. And here is the most best part - Steve did all of this for no charge.
This company gets 5 stars for service, honesty and just for being nice!

Steven Ackerman Jr. installed a new water heater in my house today. I had a minor emergency happening and he made a special trip at the end of his day to help me out. Since the call started during regular business hours I wasn't charged the after hours labor even though it ran over. I really appreciated that. He did a great job. He was very professional, conscientious and made sure everything was done properly. The input water valve to my water heater would not fully shut off so he had to replace it too. He had to turn the house water off to do this. When he turned the water back on to the house the gunk in my 40 year old galvanized pipes clogged up one of my faucets. He took time to clean it out and made sure all the faucets in my house were running freely and included that in his labor charge. They use made in America, Bradford White, water heaters which is nice. He showed me how to use it and explained how to drain it annually to keep it clean. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for all my plumbing needs.

Couldn't be more satisfied with the service by Ackerman Plumbing. I called them during the last snow storm when our pipes started making a loud dinging sound. Fearing frozen pipes - Steven Jr. re-arranged his schedule and hiked through the snow to make sure we weren't snowed in w/o water with our newborn. Thoughtful, on time, and easy to work with. I have used this company for years for my backflow testing. Spoke with Steve today about why they never showed up for the scheduled appointment. I was told ""he never got the message"" are you serious? Oh, but then he tells me that he is booked and can't get my testing done by the date required. Was completely rude to me. I will never ever use this company again!

I've used Ackerman plumbing twice now. They are very skilled, friendly and very reasonable. I had all my toilets changed out and today, Steven put in new trim kits for me. He showed be several things and reassured me about some noisy pipes (not a problem). I'll have them back in the next few months to change out all my shut off valves. Terrific company!

The plumber who arrived discovered a hidden, and challenging, issue with our plumbing system. His experience, knowledge, and care for his customers showed through in his determination (and success!) in finding a creative, inexpensive, and effective solution to our unique problem.

I used Ackerman Plumbing to replace two sinks/faucets/toilets in my bathrooms and was extremely happy with the job that was performed.
I have a 1900s house with a number of non-standard plumbing arrangements which made this project tricky but Ackerman handled it without a problem. They made useful suggestions for overcoming the hook-up issues, were very helpful in making sure that I was selecting the correct parts and executed the installations professionally. They were always prompt, courteous and honest. Finally, their attention to aesthetic detail was exceptional - I am very particular about things being centered, squared and even and they got it right the first time in most cases or quickly made adjustments when requested.
As for pricing, they were extremely reasonable on the fixtures (often coming in under the Ferguson retail prices even though they offered warranty coverage above and beyond the manufacturer's) and service charges were competitive with other plumbing services.
I will definitely use Ackerman again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
