Excellent plumbing company!
Scott is phenomenal and knows plumbing. 2 previous companies couldn't resolve but A&S did!
A little expensive but they fixed the ongoing issue.
We had sewage back washing into the basement! The line to the curb was clogged and these guys cleared it and videoed for insurance-sake. I highly recommend these guys; you don't want to go through the time/cost and frustrations trying others like I did.

Poor communication, unreliable and unprofessional. So many other reliable pluming options, don't waste your time with these people. Especially if you don't want your time wasted. The owner(s) of this company should take more pride in customer service and integrity.

We quoted several local plumbers for a water heater flush and Acker was the most honest and responsive about how to deal with the issue without ripping us off. They completed the flush successfully but the technician on site was not able / willing to correct some sediment blockage in other parts of the house, which another firm later corrected easily. My general impression of them is that senior personnel know a lot, they are solid but perhaps not all individuals are totally willing to go the extra mile because they have been around a long time and have a lot of longstanding customers who are loyal no matter what they do. Would recommend quoting them for any job but interviewing other options also.

Never use this company. We had a horrible experience with them. They were the plumbing subcontractor on our new house. Nonstop leaks persist through the ceilings. As other plumbers have come in to fix what Acker did poorly, I am told the same story - cheap parts were used and the work was done improperly. Save yourself a lot of time and money. Use anyone other than these terrible people.

I have used Acker and Sons several times and have also referred them to my Mom's house. In all cases, they have performed very high quality work at a very reasonable price. Brian, the service manager, is professional and prompt. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. I have even spoken directly with the owner, Rodney, and he is as personable as you will ever get...a true Family run business. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks,

We had a clogged sewer line, so we called Acker about 9am.The technician, Scott, was here in about 4 hours and cleared up the blockage. He was courteous, clean and knew exactly what to do. Their price was about 1/3 of Mr. Rooter. Will certainly recommend Acker and use them again.

Do NOT use Acker. They are unprofessional and ripoffs. They installed a gas grill for me and asked if I wanted a rodent guard. I said sure sounds like a good idea. Soon I get a bill for $311.90. The rodent guard sells for 6.99 plus $6.00 shipping on Amazon. You only need to disconnect the hose and put the guard on. Do NOT trust their advice. They will rip you off!

This company is a rip off. I was charged $385 for 2 hours of labor - no parts involved - and the problem wasn't fixed.

Their customer service over the phone was extremely lacking. I called because I did a google search for ""well repair, Frederick MD"" and their website was one of the top listings. I checked under the ""Our Services"" section for well repair before calling. I called to see if they were able to come out and find the problem. After being transferred 2 times and hung up on once. I repeated myself the fourth time that I'm having issues with my well just to have a lady say ""We don't work on wells..."" When I confirmed I called the right company she became snippy with me.

Their website is not up to date so if you're looking for work done on your well pass over this company.
