The drain in my backyard got clogged overtime when the ground would get oversoaked and muddy water entered the drain. So during this first big storm in a long while my drain overflowed (the water could not drain fast enough.) I called Ace Plumbing and their scheduler was very friendly and schedule an appointment for me. Their schedule was really booked so the earliest they could get to me was about 9 days later. Since there wasn't any heavy storms upcoming I booked the appt.

On the day of the 4pm appointment Rafael called me around 2:30 and informed me they had a cancellation so could they come at 3pm instead which was fine with me. Rafael and his assistant showed up on time and were very friendly. They tested to see how far down the pipe the clog was and took care of it.

Rafael and his assistance were very professional. they had used my garden hose to run water down the drain and afterwards put the hose back nice and neat. Rafael gave his business card w/his cell just in case. I'm sure there are many who are professional in their interaction with their customers but not all are also as friendly (as was their scheduler also). Two thumbs up for Rafael and Ace Plumbing & Rooter.

Mo came by and fixed the awful backup at my building. He was friendly, quick, and charged a very reasonable price. I hope I don't need his help again, but I'll be sure to call him if I do.

I call a week prior and arrange for a plumber to come out at 2pm on a Thursday to fix a root and plumbing issue at our office. At 2:05 on said Thursday Phyllis calls and says they had some plumbers call out sick and they'll call me later when they have someone to send over. I miss a call, and cal right back and get told that Phyllis will call me as soon as she gets off her other call. She never calls me back.

At 8:35am I get a call from an unlisted number, I call back less than 20 minutes later and it's the plumber telling me that he's at the house and he's spoke with the tenants. I told him that he's not supposed to be there, and he's not supposed to be contacting the tenants. I told him that we can't have any services done that day (which is why we scheduled for the day prior)

He didn't seem to care or get why showing up uninvited at someone's house at 8:30 in the morning is completely inappropriate. Overall he was pretty rude, and I told him some words that violate Yelp's terms of service.


I called the office afterwards and got met with a defensive customer service agent. I told her ""do not dare send me an invoice"" and she got pretty butthurt.

There's literally no reason to use their services. Their plumbers may be competent, but their office staff is not. Rude staff with poor communication and flaky service.

It was like raining in my basement all of the sudden. ACE plumbing came out within 30' - Jeff and his brother even brought their own shoe cover booties. They were super professional and have great knowledge and plumbing experience. After carefully testing everything, they said it was just a soft clog and didn't even charge me anything! Thanks for the great customer service! Totally the best in the biz!

I am so grateful to Ace Plumbing. My elderly father's water heater busted and leaked all over the garage. I don't live in SF, so I started calling plumbers. I called Ace and Phyllis answered and while they were booked, she put me on hold briefly to see if she could get someone out there. Not only did someone come same day to quote the job, he stayed until 9 PM and got the job done!!! Damien was the technician. He was so efficient and dedicated. I spoke to him when the job was over and I thanked him. He said, ""oh no question, we can't have your father without water"". Just a really nice person who helped me through a very stressful time. I highly recommend Ace for not only their professionalism and good work, but for their kindness.

Responsive, smooth operation. The team has someone who manages all the communication, scheduling and invoicing details. They were organized and come off as experienced. I can't speak to the value as they worked directly with my landlord on work and cost estimates before executing on approved work. They worked with me on scheduling and that went smoothly: the plumber arrived on time and was communicative on what needed to be completed and when.

Thanks Ace for a great experience and fast response. My water heater was giving off high CO2 levels. Damien found the suspect issue and fixed it. PG&E signed off on it the next day. Done and done. Thanks Damien, Well done!
