Nearly twice every year since we moved into our home twenty years ago, we've had to have our main sewer line cleaned out due to root growth in the old clay pipe that goes out to our septic tank. This stoppage would back up drains throughout the house and cause immense inconvenience, usually at the worst possible times. Since we didn't have a clean-out, a toilet had to be pulled to clear the line. Although plumbers had examined the line with cameras, not one of them had given me an accurate description of exactly where the root incursion was located, how best to fix it, and where to install the much-needed clean-out.
Steven was the first plumber to give us this information. During the process of fixing the problem, which involved jack hammering through 24 inches of concrete connected to a retaining wall, Steven encountered several unexpected complications on this job, but dealt with each one in turn in a very professional and courteous manner, all the while keeping us informed of our options. In the end, he fixed the ""root"" problem and installed a clean out that we can use in the future to clear the line. He did all of this at a very reasonable price, and within a few days of very hard work. We were extremely pleased with the job Steven did for us, and would recommend Ace Plumbing and Drain to anyone looking for an honest, capable and reasonably priced plumbing service.
