I called Ace Plumbing hoping to get an estimate for a leak behind my washing machine. When I called, the representative who answered the phone was pleasant and was able to schedule an estimate for me the next day. After the tech arrived and poked around for about 30 minutes in other areas (in the attic, looking at the hot water heater, looking for leaks outside, etc.) he proceeds to tell me that he is on the clock and that 'the clock' started when he left Columbus. Keep in mind that when I called the day prior, my first question to the representative was """"Do you service Fort Mitchell?"""" and the answer was """"Yes we do."""" There was no mention of money as this was supposed to be a free estimate- especially since I had other plumbing companies coming to check out my situation and I would not ever pay someone to have my problem 'looked at'. Had this been mentioned, I would have cancelled the estimate immediately of course. Needless to say, I smelled something fishy after Dennis told me he was on the clock once he left Columbus and I did not want anything to do with Ace Plumbing after he said this to me. He still tried to push the service by offering to cut into my wall to 'check' for the problem, but there was no way I was going to let this company begin any kind of work before I had a legitimate quote and price- especially after hearing that $75 an hour began while he was in his car driving out of Columbus! In total, he was in my home for about 45 minutes (mostly due to wasted time on his part). The end state: I paid another plumbing service to fix my problem (exactly where I told the tech the problem was). However, I just received an invoice in the mail from Ace Plumbing Company Inc. stating that I owe them $170! (Which is almost the total cost of what I paid to have my problem fixed- with sheetrock replaced and everything!) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS CROOKED AND UNETHICAL COMPANY. Of course I am not going to pay them because no services were rendered, nor did I sign anything agreeing to pay, but everyone should be careful with and weary of this company.

If I could give ZERO stars that would be my review of this unethical company (or at least the employee who came to my house). First, he charged me for 3 hrs of work and he was only there maybe 2. Then charged for replacement of copper piping and didn't USE copper. Also lied about having to cut into cement when it had already been done by my contractor! Nearly $500 of bogus charges. I went directly to company and insisted I get at least a partial refund. Will never again use this company.

Great bunch of guys! They are all very respective and they definitely get the Job Done. Ace Plumbing are a very reputable Plumbing Outfit and they are very well equipped. They do an excellent Job!

Best customer service! Everything was wonderful from start to finish. I spoke to a friendly gentleman around 7am this morning. I told him what was going on. He assured me that someone would return my call. Two plumbers showed up by 9am. They were so polite and did such a great job! These days it's hard to find people who want to work, let alone people who do a good job. Wonderful customer service! I'm going to refer Ace Plumbing Company to everyone I know. Thank you!

Used them before and had a guy named Dennis who provided excellent service! Used them again because of their great service and had a guy named Jim to fix something. He couldn't fix it, which is fine, only stayed 15 minutes for the whole service and then charged me 100. Won't be calling them again just to take $100 away from me. If you are going to use them ask for Dennis.
