Recommended Customer Reviews

Ace replaced my failing water heater and provided prompt, courteous, professional service. My experience was far from the negative reviews posted here and Ace with their competitive pricing, gets my recommendation should you need a water heater replacement.

Great job done by Willy! He was kind, great customer service skills and did a great job repairing the sink and shower! He loved my dogs! Cleaned up after himself and even gave me some advice on what to clean the sink with to get the water staining gone without ruining the sink! Willy makes this company great and I would recommend him to anyone who asks! Thank you Willy!

I completely agree with the reviews posted by Deenie and Raymond G. My experience with Ace under the Fidelity Home Warranty was identical...rushed service, unordered parts, misdiagnosed tankless water heater.
Too quick to diagnose, assume, and rush off.
They didn't even file the paperwork with Fidelity properly, so I was told that Fidelity couldn't do anything until Ace filed a report. Turns out they did but they put all the repairs (3 items) on one report.
Btw, Fidelity Home Warranty sucks...just read their reviews!
Ace got 2 stars because on some simple repairs (toilet leaks, garbage disposal, etc) they fixed those things well and quickly. However they did not have the parts including a simple toilet gasket and rescheduled to come back a week later.

So where do I start...Ace Plumbing was sent out by our Home Warranty Company to diagnose and fix a leak in our upstairs shower/tub. The plumber and his helper came out and determined it was the seal around the drain that was leaking, so they ""resealed"" it. He did tell us that this may or may not be the problem so before cutting into our downstairs bathrooms ceiling, let's start here.
About a month later after our daughter took a bath, the leaking was noticeably worse. We called our warranty company again and because we were over the 30 day period we had to file ANOTHER claim and pay ANOTHER deductible for Ace Plumbing to come out again. The same plumber came out, cut into our downstairs bathroom ceiling and found the leak. He didn't have the necessary parts to fix the problem so we had to reschedule out a week for him to come back and make the repairs. After a week he comes back and STILL does not have the necessary parts to repair the leaking pipes, so he has to run out and see what he can get...only for us to get a call and say he has to order the parts and we need to reschedule! Again! What?! Isn't that why we rescheduled the first time??? Within a week, he comes out to repair the pipes, and the leak...well our first problem is that we can't sheet rock the ceiling because the pipes are now poking down too far past the hole and the sheet rock can't butt up to the ceiling. AND THE PIPES ARE LEAKING AGAIN!!!! Nothing was repaired the right way. We call our warranty company AGAIN and because we are over the 30 day period AGAIN and they want us to pay another deductible. We said send out a DIFFERENT Plumbing company and we'd be glad to! I do not recommend Ace Plumbing. The plumber did not seem knowledgeable, very unprepared, and very rushed to just get in and get out.

I highly recommenced NOT using this company under any circumstances at all!!! The customer service was extremely poor from the get go and I should have took the hint from there. The owner refused to allow me to speak or tell him my problem. After coming out to my property he ran over 200 gallons worth of water when I specifically told him what the problem was I was having. His workers that were with him for very kind and clearly irritated with his sporadic behavior. In the end he charged me and then said he couldn't help me. After getting a second opinion, the problem was not nearly as extensive as ACE told me is was, nor did the second opinion feel the need to run 200 gallons worth of water that I now have to pay for. I do not believe that ACE Plumbing is ethical. Please do not use this company, there are a number of other plumbing service companies in Grass Valley that are exceptionally better.

Unethical to say the least. Ace was called out by Fidelity home warranty to check a kitchen faucet with stuck sprayer and leak in tub faucet. Ace said that both had to be completely replaced and basic style covered by warranty but not exact duplicate and owner would be responsible for gaining access through tile in bathroom.
Well, this didn't sound right so I called in a plumber that worked for me before. Lo and behold, the tub leak was fixed in 10 min. without having to break out any tile. The kitchen faucet only needed a part. It's pretty clear that ACE plumbing was trying to scam Fidelity insurance under the home warranty process. They created unnecessary work & parts to charge Fidelity the maximum they could get paid and additional charges to homeowner. What a racket! Homeowner beware!

Just an update on my previous review. The tankless water heater was subsequently descaled twice and the hot water production was infrequent. I recontacted Fidelity National Home Warranty. They advised that Ace Plumbing was the only service provider for tankless water heaters in my area. Ace Plumbing responded back out and noted the error codes (C11 & C12). They advised that they would research the error codes and prepare a report for the warranty company. The warranty company contacted me and advised that the report from Ace Plumbing stated that the unit needed to be descaled.
I contacted the maker of the unit, Paloma, and they informed me that the error codes indicated an issue with the propane gas unit, and had nothing to do with descaling. They further advised that they had not been contacted by Ace Plumbing regarding the error codes for this unit.
I removed the propane gas burner unit and cleaned it with compressed air. The water heater is now working fine with no error codes.
I recontacted the home warranty company and they indicated that they would refund the $65 that I paid for the original service call.
Bottom line is that I would not trust Ace Plumbing to service a tankless water heater.

This team is fantastic. To solve the issue with our dripping shower they had to purchase a special tool so they wouldn't need access from and exterior wall. They came three times to figure out a solution, and only charged us once. Dave and William are on time, efficient, and polite. They even cleaned up when they were done. We highly recommend their business to anyone in the gold country.

Super great! Fast and efficient. Communicated with me throughout the day. And came back in the afternoon on New Year's eve to fix the problem so my family and I weren't without hot water for the weekend! Would recommend and use again!

We had a great experience working with Glenn and team this week. They were prompt & professional and quickly identified & resolved our leak with minimal impact to our home.
