I also had Paul come to my house for a sewer line blockage and he was great! He was very responsive and was able to fix the issue quickly. He was clear on being able to come out right away and what that would cost which we appreciated since it was something that we didn't need fixed until standard rates were being charged. I will definitely call him for any other issues we end up having and will share his information with friends and family.

I don't know who the other reviewer is talking about, but the guy from Ace Sewer is named Paul, not Marvin. I had him and one of his other guys over my house to fix a tough sewer problem. They did a good job and they respected my basement.

DO NOT WORK with this company, as long as its under its current ownership. If I could give less than one star, I would... Even other sewer professionals I've had to contact since this experience told me they've heard bad stories about this owner.
I had a minor sewer backup and needed my drain snaked. I spoke with the owner over the phone, and he sent his guys over the next day. The workers moved my washer and dryer to get at the sewer access point, and in the process, tore holes in my linoleum. It was stupid and shouldn't have happened, but hey, it was a mistake. The guys called the owner (Marvin) to let him know what happened, and then put me on the phone with him. The owner proceeded to become irate and verbally abusive toward me, attempting to blame me for what had happened using the most illogical arguments you could possibly imagine--if it wasn't so outrageous, his ""reasoning"" would have been almost laughable."" I'm no fool....I'm an educated person and I know enough about home repair to know what had happened--but there was no reasoning with this guy. He was trying to avoid responsibility by treating me badly enough that I would be scared away. I was told ""we're taking no responsibility for this..."" ""we're not going to help you, find someone else"" and other similarly outrageous responses. It was nothing more than intimidation meant to avoid responsibility. After this awful phone call, I spoke with the workers and reasoned with them--something along the lines of ""you guys know what happened here, let's figure this out, you know you need to help me out."" To be fair, the guys were helpful in referring me to another service, because they said there was no way their boss would now let them work with me. I could tell they were well aware of the owner's ""issues"" and they were sympathetic with my situation--they referred me to someone that could help me out. These employees were nice enough guys. Yes, they had damaged my floor, but were in a difficult position to try to make it right because of this owner, Marvin.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY, not as long as Marvin is involved. If something goes wrong, he WILL NOT stand behind his work. The customer service I received was DEPLORABLE, and trust me, I was not being unreasonable, mean, rude, or disrespectful toward him, not even after he treated me that way. Find another company, and maybe consider going back to them after the current owner retires or is forced out...hopefully sooner rather than later.
