They didn't just take the recommendations from the other leak detection company, but did their own investigation and found a different source of the water flow. If we would've just followed the first recommendation, it would've cost us more time and money to fix the problem!

Had a major water leak for several months from the City water meter and pipes running into my home, contacted Chris at Acculine to detect it. Chris informed me he & his crew can also make the necessary repair(s). Josh & Ricky with Acculine worked for two rainy days and completed this to my satisfaction, in addition, I requested Copper pipes & gaskets for a more longer lasting & stronger maintenance. Josh gave me great tips and showed me how everything worked. I was provided with a PDF Invoice so I can plead my issue with the SD Public Utilities regarding my high water bill(s). I did take photos of the repair(s) to keep & send as an attachment, (for privacy issues I choose not to attach any of the photos.) My front landscape didn't suffer and my hardscape remained untouched. I highly recommend their estimate & service for both quality and value!

First, there is no need to look any further for leak detection companies and plumbing companies in the San Diego area. Chris is top notch. I am happy to say that this one time that the reviews did not lie and because I was in a dire situation, I am glad they didn't.

Last week, my daughter in law (DIL) called me from Lakeside CA in a panic to let me know that her closet floor was all wet. Her husband is in the US Navy and was deployed. After explaining to her how to turn off the water to the house, I immediately drove the 150 miles to her house to see what I could do. Upon seeing the water, I thought immediately it was a pipe under the slab that had a leak. I reached out to Chris at Acculine Leak Detection, on a Sunday night. He offered to come out that night, but I told him it could wait until the morning. He gave me a price for leak detection and even suggested a hotel that his clients often stay at. I appreciated that.

He confirmed an appointment between 8 am and 10 am. As one previous person commented, Chris sent me a contract via email for $375 to approve, before he would come over and detect the leak. First, this is the same price he gave over the phone and secondly, this seemed standard to me, so I had no problem agreeing to it. I am sure the person who commented on this doesn't work for free either. Detecting leaks is an art, and Chris is great at it.

Chris arrived and immediately went to work. He found the leak in about 20 minutes time. What I appreciated is that he explained the entire process to me, how he used his hearing equipment to determine where the leak was and how he attached electrical current (low voltage) to the outer hose bib to map the pipes out. He came up with a plan to abandon the bad pipe and reroute the supply into the attic. Once he went over the plan and the cost, my DIL, agreed to the price. We put a deposit down. Please know if you live in California, home improvement projects are limited to $1000 or 10% of the project cost, which ever is less. The deposit we put down was in line with the rule and Chris did not ask for anything more. This just gave me more proof that this was a plumber with ethics.

Since every project is different, I am not going to disclose what we agreed to pay. I also did not have the luxury of going and getting estimates, as we needed the water back on with two small children in the house. Let me say that Chris provided me with enough knowledge to trust that he was the right plumber for the job and his price seemed fair.

Chris said he would come back on Wednesday to complete the work as he already had another job lined up on Tuesday. Mind you this was Monday. This man is busy and yet he was able to get us in on Wednesday. We agreed.

On Wednesday Chris and his apprentice showed up. He again started with mapping out the pipes. I could see his mind was working as he said I think I can save you even more money. He came up with an alternate plan. Who does this? He didn't have too, the price was agreed upon, but he did it, again showing how ethical he was. He and his apprentice went to work, they worked the entire day, rerouting the pipe and getting the water turned back on again. They were respectful of the house and cleaned up their work area. The work was high quality. Chris leak checked the system and even adjusted the PSI for us. When you talk to Chris it is easy to see that he is knowledgeable, personable and is all about customer service. More importantly he proved he is a man of ethics, of morals and of values. He holds himself to a high standard. I have worked with dozens of contractors in the past. I had never met a contractor more honest, reliable, and hard working than Chris. So, as I started this review, I will end this review in the same way, just call Chris, you will be relieved and happy you did. I know I am. Thanks Chris.

I booked an appointment online to have a water leak diagnosed. The business owner sent me an estimate then sent a text to approve. He then proceeded to a note that if I don't approve he won't show-up.
He then proceeded to cancel my appointment without giving me the opportunity to even download the estimate.
In my opinion, his approach was very rude and reflected very poor customer service. I don't recommend Acculine Leak Detection at all.

Called on a Sunday and even though they were closed Chris got back to us with in an hour and we had an appointment the next day. We had used another leak detection company who spent 2 full days looking for the leak and told us a pebble must have closed the leak.
The water came back.
Chris found the leaks within 30 minutes and showed us where the leaks were in both showers from a remodel job we had 12 years ago. We thought we had one but we have two leaks that have spread under the house.
We decided he was also the right person for the job of replacing all our pipes to copper as the insurance are now requiring and living in the 92131 we have been dropped twice because of the fires. I just want to be done and I think we see the light

I spent a week looking for a leak after the water district notified me in Escondido. Chris Desarno showed up and found the leak in five minutes by listening to the exposed irrigation line feeding the backyard and pool. He did not need to break out his high tech detector. Chris has obviously refined his leak finding technique over many years. My water bill is now back to normal and I am happy.
