Our kitchen sink drain was clogged and we tried everything we could, including snaking it ourselves. The blockage was too hard to break through. Called Acadian and explained issue to the dispatcher. I asked if they would bring out what was necessary to unclog it. I was assured they would.
Tech arrives on time with only a snake in his hand. I asked if that is all he has to unclog it. He replied that, yes, that is all they have. I told him I didn't think it would work since I had already tried it. He said ""If you don't want me to try, I won't, but it will be $125 for service call and I'll leave now"".
My options now are to pay $125 for nothing, or $325 for what I don't think will work anyway. I went ahead with the $325 and said ""Maybe you know how to snake a drain better than I do"". Well, he did not. He was just as unsuccessful as I was. He then went on to say that Acadian cannot fix the clog and I need to call another plumber. He then wrote the name of the guy who he thinks can fix it and his number on my ticket. I paid him the $325 as I agreed and he left. I did NOT call his recommended plumber but instead called Sturt Services who came out and fixed the issue within an hour with their snake, which is much better than the ones Acadian owns, obviously! I will never call this company out again, and why would you when they just charge you to give you a referral of someone else.

Description of work performed:
The kitchen sink backing up. Ran Auger from pulled PTrap. About 6-8 feet hit hard spot. Worked cable back and foward (sic). Could not get past.
Recommend video insp. Recommend xxxxxxx Plumbing 504-xxx-xxxx.

Yesterday was the first time I've needed a plumber since moving to New Orleans, so of course it was time to stress about finding someone dependable and reasonable. Fortunately, Acadian put my worries to rest.

I called the office number late in the afternoon. After 4 or 5 rings (on no, this isn't good) a man answered and explained that the office was closed, but he was the owner on his way home. He listened to my problem and said that the next day's schedule was pretty full, but he'd try to work me in. When I called the office this morning, the owner answered, remembered me, and said ""You're on the schedule for today.""

Only three hours later, two nice dog-loving guys arrived and fixed my toilet right away, explaining that the hard water here wreaks havoc with plumbing fittings. The price was more than my sweet, independent plumber in Kansas City, and I might have been able to fix it myself with YouTube. But I don't want to do stuff like that, and getting it fixed right away by courteous, professional people absolutely made it worth the price.

Here's the deal... I'll deal with anybody who's on the up and up. I put in a request on Yelp they answered. The lady was a little short on the phone but I just ignored her, however the boss was a super nice and very easy to deal with, his son came out the next day called ahead of time, was also very kind, and so was the other worker. I paid them, they finished the job in less than an hour, now they're on their way to their next job. I got the services that I needed...perfect! Why can't everybody else be like this.

Stop trying to scam people and take their money do your job, get paid for it and move on which is exactly what Acadian plumbing did and I appreciate it! No games, no gimmicks, and no tricks! Just installed the waterline.

We had a leaking pipe in our upstairs bathroom and called Acadian. Once at our house they quickly found and repaired the problem. I highly recommend Acadian and will use them in the future.

I called these folks and they wanted $125 to come and do an estimate. I'm trying to get a couple of bids for a job and that seems like a lot to me. I might've said yes to $50. The $125 is credited if they do the work but if not, you're out the $.

Yes, you're going to go write a bid and not get the work sometimes (I know I've been in this kind of business) but that's part of the deal.

Made a same-day appointment. They called before arriving and fixed my leaking toilet and repaired a few other issues with my toilet I'm so excited to see my bill for next month because my toilet isn't leaking anymore

We had our washing machine start to back up and leak water everywhere due to a blockage in our piping. I called Acadian and they were able to send someone out that day! We thought we wouldn't be able to wash clothes for at least a week! The guys came out and were awesome and professional as always. They took care of the problem and the pricing was very reasonable. Taz and Nathan came out and they are very honest, professional and trustworthy and didn't try to upsell us on anything we didn't need. Glad we have a great reliable company we will use from here on out! We've used them before and have been impressed every time. Definitely worth giving them a try.
