Yesterday was the first time I've needed a plumber since moving to New Orleans, so of course it was time to stress about finding someone dependable and reasonable. Fortunately, Acadian put my worries to rest.

I called the office number late in the afternoon. After 4 or 5 rings (on no, this isn't good) a man answered and explained that the office was closed, but he was the owner on his way home. He listened to my problem and said that the next day's schedule was pretty full, but he'd try to work me in. When I called the office this morning, the owner answered, remembered me, and said ""You're on the schedule for today.""

Only three hours later, two nice dog-loving guys arrived and fixed my toilet right away, explaining that the hard water here wreaks havoc with plumbing fittings. The price was more than my sweet, independent plumber in Kansas City, and I might have been able to fix it myself with YouTube. But I don't want to do stuff like that, and getting it fixed right away by courteous, professional people absolutely made it worth the price.

Here's the deal... I'll deal with anybody who's on the up and up. I put in a request on Yelp they answered. The lady was a little short on the phone but I just ignored her, however the boss was a super nice and very easy to deal with, his son came out the next day called ahead of time, was also very kind, and so was the other worker. I paid them, they finished the job in less than an hour, now they're on their way to their next job. I got the services that I needed...perfect! Why can't everybody else be like this.

Stop trying to scam people and take their money do your job, get paid for it and move on which is exactly what Acadian plumbing did and I appreciate it! No games, no gimmicks, and no tricks! Just installed the waterline.

We had a leaking pipe in our upstairs bathroom and called Acadian. Once at our house they quickly found and repaired the problem. I highly recommend Acadian and will use them in the future.

I called these folks and they wanted $125 to come and do an estimate. I'm trying to get a couple of bids for a job and that seems like a lot to me. I might've said yes to $50. The $125 is credited if they do the work but if not, you're out the $.

Yes, you're going to go write a bid and not get the work sometimes (I know I've been in this kind of business) but that's part of the deal.

Made a same-day appointment. They called before arriving and fixed my leaking toilet and repaired a few other issues with my toilet I'm so excited to see my bill for next month because my toilet isn't leaking anymore

We had our washing machine start to back up and leak water everywhere due to a blockage in our piping. I called Acadian and they were able to send someone out that day! We thought we wouldn't be able to wash clothes for at least a week! The guys came out and were awesome and professional as always. They took care of the problem and the pricing was very reasonable. Taz and Nathan came out and they are very honest, professional and trustworthy and didn't try to upsell us on anything we didn't need. Glad we have a great reliable company we will use from here on out! We've used them before and have been impressed every time. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Trust these guys. They were much faster than any other plumber and they fixed it. And they also were very helpful and explained the issue.

I'm not sure they deserve they're positive rating. I left all my information, address and phone number when I first called. The young woman i spoke to was very pleasant but unsure whether or not the owner serviced mobile homes. I asked that someone let me know whether or not they did. I waited and finally called back four hours later and was told by someone other than I spoke to ( possibly the owner) originally that he did not have my phone number but did have my address. Waisted four hours when I could have been searching for a plumber who was willing to help. Fortunately Richie's Plumbing not only set an appointment for the next day but fit the repair in on the same day I called. We were using bottled water for 5 days as we turned off the water when the leak was detected and i let them know this on first call. I certainly gave my
phone number to the pleasant young woman who answered the phone when I first called and it's my belief she passed that along to the owner and he didn't feel the need to show me the courtesy of a return call. Would never recommend him to anyone.

Beware

Receptionist was very rude and her attitude was like she was doing me a big favor by scheduling me. Normally I couldn't care less but her condescending tone was over the top. If the owners treat people like that then I don't want anything to do with them.
