Hands down, one of the best companies I have worked with. When we were in need, they were the only company to go out of there way to ensure that my sick child didn't over heat and they provided a mobile a/c unit until they replaced my a/c unit just 2 days later. In addition to replacing the a/c system, I had them do electrical work and even some plumbing repairs that a previous company caused and then wanted to charge me again to fix. It's true that they are not the cheapest company but they are worth it. Honest technicians that don't push unnecessary work. I beleive they actually saved me A LOT of money by doing the job right and standing behind their work. Thank you ABT!

Since 2012 this company was my first choice for plumbing repairs. They are prompt, competent, and courteous. What's not to like, right? A 48% increase for the same repair, that's what!
The plumbing problem is a single-handle shower valve cartridge that continually drips after closure.
The first cartridge was replaced by ABT in 2012 and once again by ABT in 2018. This most-recent leak recently manifested itself some 16 months after the last cartridge failed.
That's not the fault of the plumbing company but frustrating nonetheless.
I was prepared to pay for a third cartridge installation until I was given an estimate for approximately $300.00 more than the last job only 16 months ago!
There is no rational explanation for such a dramatic price hike and our business relationship is now over.
From now on I will ""let my fingers do the walking"" through the yellow pages to find other plumbing firms that use a sane pricing matrix and perhaps appreciate long-term business relationships.

ABT does not provide 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Mike could not find my electrical problem. He said he could wire a new circuit for $500 to a $1000. I called the office and they said they would refund part of the payment since another electrician found my problem in 20 minutes. The next day they charged me the full price. No partial refund. I got zero satisfaction and no guaranteed service. I cannot recommend ABT.

When i called to get an estimate on repairing a plumbing leak, ABT said they could come out before the end of the day. At first i was pleased, but then i called them back to give them the address and they said that their worker had a family plumbing emergency, and that meant they couldn't get to my job until the next day, unless i paid for after hour charges. I scheduled them for the next day. When the repairman called after looking at the job to give me an estimate, he said $880. I asked for some explanation for the cost, and he said that's what we charge.
I have been a licensed general contractor in nevada city for over 15 years. I have built several homes and remodeled countless houses. Because the ABT's price was not justifiable , i drove the 2.5 hours to repair it myself. It took me 45 minutes to remove 6 feet of old galvanized pipe and replace it with new PEX and insulation, $15 in parts.

Very pleased with the prompt response to our Saturday afternoon plumbing emergency. Plumber Dan came less than 1/2 hour after our call, and replaced & repaired our broken shower fixture. We're on a low producing well and the water wouldn't turn off!! So had to turn house water off. Dan was pleasant and friendly, but professional. His only special request was that we turn on the World Series so he could hear the game he wanted to watch. Go Dodgers! Will definitely call ABT next time!

Kevin wanted to charge me $875 to hook up the line set for a mini-split ductless AC. This was to run the line-set 9 feet, connect the line-set and test the vacuum. This would not possibly take more than 4 hours including the vacuum test. When I said the price was outrageous, his reply was, ""Well, we're not the cheapest in town."" Quite the understatement for charging over $200 an hour. My advice is to find someone else, anyone else, for your AC needs.

When I called ABT my house was completely blacked out. Steven came out (the electrician) and tested it to find the problem and while he was there he even set me up temperarly until he could come back to do the final fix. After he came back and fixed all of the power he informed me that he had saved me around 300$ by reusing my old wire. On top of that he was extremely professional and respectful throughout the entire experiance. I won't be using another company other than ABT for any of my home issues. I could not be happier with the outcome.

Matt was awesome! First I had an issue with my toilet... which not only did he fix it, but he gave me some info to keep the issue from happening again.

Then I needed a tub installed that the guy who previously quoted to install flaked out on me. He took a little longer than he expected to, but the quote was still right on. AND the tup looks great!

Also... he plays disc golf, he saw a pile of my discs and we chatted about them for a little bit.

He is trustworthy, honest, helpful, and does great work! I highly recommend ABT and I highly recommend Matt.

Our toilet was leaking, so I began the process of purchasing the wax ring, turning off the water supply, and bailing out the toilet into the tub. When I got to the nuts holding down the bowl, I found lag bolts into the sub-floor. I decided to look for a pro and turned the water back on. But, then, the feed valve failed, too. Our trusted handy persons were unavailable for at least a week. I Yelped ABT and read the rave reviews. Here's one more.

First, ABT doesn't charge extra for work on weekends, when every last one of our plumbing emergencies have taken place over the years. I asked for an assessment on Saturday evening, because they advertise a 1 hour response 24/7. I got the timely response and scheduled Justin to come over on Sunday morning -- he arrived on-time. After the free assessment, we were given a bid.

After removing the bowl, Justin discovered a bogus installation that would require some innovation and he was up to the task. He took off for a plumbing supply up the street and picked up a flange that would work for the retrofit. He was able to correct past mistakes and also repaired the failed feed valve. Finally, he determined the valve inside the tank was goofy and replaced that, as well. All of this was accomplished within the time frame projected and with no extra charge, even though a couple extra parts and a bit of ingenuity were required. He was polite, professional, fast and thorough.
