This company over charges for the type if work they do. They won't give you an estimate unless you pay $125.00 for coming out. I was charged $450 for installation of a simple faucet! Definitely avoid this business that preys on seniors!!!

ABT is terrible! I suspect they are preying on elders, even if not intentionally. They were referred to me by a local agency that helps elderly folks like me and my Mom (she is 96, I am 75) find affordable repair people. We were looking for a plumber to clean out a clogged sewer line. ABT came out, took a quick look at the clogged line, and told me it would cost $2000. for a ""complete"" assessment and repair. I told the technician I only wanted the line snaked out. He told me that just clearing the line would be $700. I reminded him that this was for my 96 year old mother, and that I could not believe such a price for seniors. He didn't budge. I told him to forget it. I called another plumbing company who came out right away and did a very professional and thorough job for $225., a fair and appropriate price, similar to what I have paid for the same service several times in the past.
It turns out that their senior discount was $25., pretty much nothing compared to a $700 or $2000 fee. ABT is polite and seem very knowledgeable. But their fees are at least three times above the local going rate. Elders in desperate situations, such as having a clogged sewer line, can easily be taken in by a marketing pitch like that of ABT.
I strongly encourage anyone with plumbing problems to avoid ABT.

Our office toilet stopped working. We had another plumber come out and said we probably need to have our lines ran... so i scheduled for a plumbing company to come out but they were not available until Saturday. UGH. So i looked on the internet and found ABT plumbing. They sent Dan and Jonathan. They were professional, quick and fixed our problem. Also they looked at another problem we were having at our office and fixed it at no charge! HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING ABT PLUMBING. ask for Dan Foss and Jonathan..such a great team! Thank you.

ABT installed a whole house fan in my home in Sacramento. I selected them after getting a few bids and surprisingly, they were less than the other contractors located in Sacramento. They were quick, professional , and respected the fact that they were working in a personal residence. Turns out piping for my built-in-vacuum system was in the way and had to get some extra parts and spend extra time to reroute the piping. I was expecting them to try and add on cost since I selected the location for the fan. Nope, no extra charge and they apologized for taking longer than expected. Great experience.

The fan was installed about two months ago and I waited to do the review to ensure the install worked as I was expecting. All is fine!!

They quoted my wife $49 over the phone for an ac and furnace ""tune up"" but then charged $68. That's over 50% more.

As best as I can tell they basically said in the proposal / sales order that the main components of the ac and furnace are no good, but I would have liked to have had them visually point out to the occupant what the problems were so we had some assurance. How long would it take to do that?

And I would have liked for them to provide an estimate for the cost of repairs and/or component replacement they were proposing. That way I could do some comparison shopping.

I had a leaking faucet in the kitchen and called ABT. Very impressed with their response time. They were here within an hour .
The person they sent ( Dan Foss) did an amazing job repairing the faucet and what a nice person to deal with .
My only one complaint is that it was a simple fix but they had to charge a $200 minimum regardless. I think they need to be a little flexible on that pricing . Most places will not have a minimum charge for service .

Don't know why the great reviews. We had a leaking water heater. The person who came out first told me that we had to pay 29$ for them to even estimate. Then he told me that he could not email me or print out the estimates he had for me. He had five. Ranging from the ""platinum"" package for over $4,500 dollars to the ""band-aid"" for $1,500. Band-aid meaning he would just bring and hook up. All for a water heater that cost from five to six hundred at Lowes. That's who we went with, eventually. The final straw was when he asked he if really had to give me a dollar in change for the thirty I gave him.

Overpriced and overrated. Stay away.

We had a backed up kitchen sink and water shooting out from the disposal (learned it was rusted out) and ABT did a great job fixing it all. I called after hours, not realizing this company is actually based in Grass Valley, and a really nice employee Matt drove all the way down to Roseville to help us out. I wouldn't hesitate to use ABT again.

Here it is, Memorial Day at 8pm and we find a water leak from our hot water heater that was making its way into our house that was saturating our carpet. Called ABT and left a message with dispatch and Paul called back right away. He was at another job but was extremely helpful over the phone and gave us some advice to get us through the night so we can have it worked on the following day if we'd prefer. Otherwise he would be able to come take a look after he was finished with the job he was at in Auburn (I'm in Roseville). He even offered to come over just to show us how to shut the water main off if we couldn't do it ourselves and needed it off quickly. GREAT customer service and we couldn't have been happier to receive the advice that saved us from spending holiday And after hours rates. We will definitely be using ABT again in the future for our plumbing emergencies! Thanks again, Paul!!

Brandon from ABT came to my rescue with a gas line that needed to be moved for a range stove. He was professional, offered solutions, and was able to resolve my issue. Thank you, Brandon, you made my day. Based on my experience they have me as life long customers and I recommend everyone else to use them too!
