One of their drivers in Manhattan (lic# l85853ml) was road raging, as I did not turn quick enough for his liking --while I had my three children in the car, one toddler in a car seat... he then intentionally tried to side swipe me in the lane, almost hit my car on the side where my youngest child was in her car seat (I slammed my brakes on) as he crossed over and tried to hit my car and get into the other lane. I rolled down my window at the light and told him I had my kids in the car and he proceeded to scream obscenities like ""c*unt, bit#h"" etc. based on this interaction alone I would be very leery of ever using this company if these are the kind of men working for them, angry, scary, disrespectful and disparaging to women and children... for doing what? Not turning quick enough at a police manned light??? These are the kind of workers you see on tv who may harm people in various (more sinister) ways. I would never let this kind of man in my home to do any plumbing work or any work of any kind...especially if this is just his behavior on the road. I also would be concerned about the company in general who is hiring and vetting this kind of person. If I had zero stars I'd give zero. And according to all their other bad reviews of people who have actually used them... I'd say there's just too many better companies out there than to risk this one, or getting this angry psychopath to come into your home.

My radiator had issues with valves that caused severe condensation (my bedroom was wet from ceiling to all of the walls). My coop works with them regularly and someone came to fix my toilet and did a great job. But this time it is a huge mess. They showed up and made the problem worse, charged me for the wrong part, and didn't bother to leave a receipt. Then the radiator just stopped working. So the next day they sent the same person back, my super clarified what needed to be done, told them which part to buy, how to repair the problems, etc. and it is still not fixed. There is a very loud hissing sound from my radiator, just as before. I hope the condensation doesn't come back because it could cause an electrical fire.

They were booked solid, so I'd tried a company called Einsteins who charged me $90 to show up, give a very wordy non-explanation to to justify an estimate of $1,800 when ABR charged me a fraction of that. However, now I wonder if I should have just paid more. I've wasted several days dealing with this and now I'm waiting for a call back supposedly for emergency service.

They were punctual, pleasant, and they fixed all the things. They also talked me through beforehand, before I'd incurred any charges, so I knew what it would cost before I agreed to proceed. Thanks (Mr?) Cherman

I'd use them again, but these are the small downsides...
* I had to call again when the promised ""we will call you back"" did not happen.
* They're more expensive than a taskrabbit plumber, but then they're a lot better....

I had a dishwasher installed twice in 2 months. Cost me 275 the first time and 500 the second time. I realize in retrospect the guy that came the first time screwed me because he was here 20 minutes and made like he did me a favor charging me $275. The second job guys definitely were here a while and deserve some credit and that is why I gave 2 stars. When I called in to pay at the end of the second job, I lightly joked that it Would be nice to get a little discount since they were just here 2 months ago. The guy on the phone had no sense of humor or good customer service skills. He was actually rude and said it wasn't his fault my dishwasher failed. As a single mom, I would have appreciated a little more lightness or empathy back. $800 was a lot of money to shell out in a couple of months (just for installation) and some empathy would have been appreciated. I will never recommend or use them again.

DONT DO IT!!!
After their installation guy was here and told me what toilets to buy to replace mind, I ordered the new two toilets just to find out that they are wrong! paid for the time to find they wrong...
Had to wait for new toilets and when they arrived I confirmed 5 DAYS BEFORE a new appointment and a day before had confirmation that we have everything and ready.
Morning of installation got an EMAIL (not even a call) that say we are not coming and call in 2 days so we can reschedule. Even when I tried to explained to the manager that I took half day off so I can be with them, they didn't care... DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!! IF YOU DO WORK WITH THEM, DONT CRY LATER -
On top of it, they are so expensive, its a joke... Do not do it for yourself.

I had a great experience with ABR Plumbing. I had two open violations on my house for plumbing that did not conform to approved plans. Two previous plumbers had each dragged this on for months, delaying/not showing up and finally declining to do the work. When ABR was recommended, they came to see what needed to be done when scheduled, they got a quote to me earlier than promised, it was for a reasonable price, they got the LAA to do the work within a week or so, performed the work in less than a day, and worked with an expediter to remove the violations, all within less than two months of when they first came to see the job. This had dragged on for a year with the other plumbers. They returned calls and emails promptly.

Just to add on, is the fact that not only did ABR never return my calls, but worse yet, they are maintaining, I learned from an elected official who is negotiating for me, that I did not permit them to do their assigned task of re-connected the pipes to the radiator. Here, too, they maintain the sub-par standards of their forbears; they lie to say, and do, whatever the landlord tells them to do, independent of the truth [which I have documented on the hours of video and audio I took throughout their time with me], independent of the needs and requirements of the work situation.

If I could give zero stars I would. Unfortunately Yelp only goes as low as 1 star. Never showed up when they said they would and no phone call. No apology or anything.

I give ABR Plumbing 5 stars!

Siro showed up with his helper on time to fix a leak in my bathroom ceiling . The job required replacing the waste pipe and trip lever. The job was done quickly, professionally, and they cleaned up very well afterwards. Their price was excellent. They were a lot more reasonable than other plumbers I contacted.

Not only that, they came over on a Sunday to do the job, and got me a copy of their plumbing license and insurance the same day when I requested it.
