Ryan has helped me out a couple of times. He replumbed a old 40s shower before it was retiled and he installed new insides of a continuous running toilet and a few other jobs for me. He is on time and leaves the job clean. He does a great job and has good communication skills when scheduling and when on the job. I highly recommend him.

Do not say you were not warned about Ryan journeyman of Above and Beyond Plumbing. I left a totally honest review of the work he did for me and was going to leave it at that but since he decided to leave further reviews with several lies I felt I need to tell more about him and it is sad that he has done that. First my wife did not have a stroke the day before he arrived that is a lie and I do not know where he got that idea.
He called me on the phone to tell me he was unhappy about my review and he needed to pay a car payment on his Mercedes work van and drive a long distance to do the work. He said he was going to come return my money and take the hot water heater out and I could get somebody else to do the work. That would only be a mistake and make things much worse than they are. My mistake was in taking the first reply phone call and then letting him do the work his way. He wanted $50.00 to come which a lot of plumbers charge but then if they do the work take it off of the cost of the repair which he did not do. He ended his phone call with very fowl language calling me names that I cannot print here Like you A__H____ D___ H___ which was embarrassing as he was on speaker phone with witnesses listening to the conversation.
He could have replaced the old fill pipes with the new ones and run them the way old ones was run but no he had to run them to the wall taking more time and more materials to run my bill up. I asked him to install the earthquake strap to hot water heater which I had and he did a good job of but he left the old plumber tape strap attached to the wall instead of removing it.
Yes I expected it to take a little longer because of the broken off pipe but everything was free and loose from the old hot water heater and only needed to be removed to get the new one in and that took about an hour alone . I have replaced many hot water heaters when I was younger as I was an assistant manager in a mobile home park and replaced them for the seniors in the park at no charge except for the cost of the tank. I know about how long it usually would take in his case I have felt I should have driven a stake to see if he was moving. There was a lot of time spent doing unnecessary things. Like I said I have replaced a few hot water heaters in my earlier years and it is really sad the respect or no respect that Ryan shows the elderly. I wish I did not have to rewrite this review but I was left no choice after seeing what he wrote . Everything could have been so much better.

The good, prompt and thorough. Ryan fixed an expensive problem enough to get by without having to pay big $$ up front. Provided the service requested, for hot water running and capped the leak under the tub.
I was paying for family as they didn't have it to do in emergency. He sent me the invoice and it got buried in my junk folder. During the crazy work week and a funeral. It had been a week since I checked on receiving the invoice, I should have been more diligent. I take ownership of that.
I don't feel that a voicemail saying he was supposed to be paid on spot, didn't get paid, sent the invoice to me and since he wasn't getting paid he was going to go to the house and take out his work.
I paid the invoice and work stayed but I liken this experience with someone who isn't ""Above and Beyond"" accept maybe being a bully.

i had a leak in my water closet....did not know where it was coming from....i called 4 plumbers....every one was booked and told me i needed to fix it fast so it wouldn't leak into the floor....they all gave me referrals and finally was given above and beyond......a very nice young man who took time to explain all my options....he did the repairs and i have a new water closet''''ryan is a professional and i am very pleased with his service

Their slogan is ""The name says it all"" and Ryan certainly went above and beyond for us. The water taps for our washing machine started leaking, so we had to close them entirely and couldn't use our washer. Our handyman recommended Ryan, so we gave him a call, hoping to get on his schedule for the next few days. Luckily, he had just finished another job and was at our home in less than an hour. It wasn't an easy fix. He took off the access panel and had to cut away a bit more of the wall to reach the connections. It turned out they'd been leaking for some time and mold was growing. he cleaned everything up and sprayed the area down with bleach. He also tested the flooring in the area and on the other side of the wall to make sure it hadn't rotted out. Then he installed the new parts and double-checked everything to make sure it was all watertight. Ryan is a friendly and polite guy, so after he cleaned everything up, we chatted for some time. He charged us for two hours labor, but I think he put more like three hours into the project, not to mention the time we just spent talking. Ryan covers everything from Drain and Yoncalla to Roseburg and a little south, so he always charges $200 for the first hour and $140 an hour after that, plus parts, which seems very fair. He has a well-stocked large commercial van, so he can usually handle anything on the spot. He knows what he is doing and works with care. I'm not saying he can take on any job in less than an hour, but it worked out well for us, and Ryan is going to be the first plumber we call from now on.

Ryan was absolutely amazing! He was responsive, kind and very efficient! We had piping under our sink which I'm sure the parts were from the early 1900's, literally corroding away into nothing, and making a terrible mess of water! My partner and I work from home and he was respectful of unnecessary noise, or disturbing our work flow. He has an awesome personality and is skilled to boot! Would recommend him and/or if we ever had to use services again would absolutely be my first choice!

I recently bought an older house and after moving in discovered quite a variety of issues, a critical one being a hacked together plumbing system. Ryan was the only plumber to call me back, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Not only did he fix what I knew was wrong but he also fixed other issues found in the process, including the fact the toilet water supply was plumbed into the hot water line! He completed all repairs in one day and did it such a way that I was only without water for about an hour when he switched over from old to new system. Ryan was very meticulous and double checked everything and did not leave until every single thing attached to the water system worked exactly as it should. I've worked with a lot of contractors in my time and Above and Beyond lived up to their name, one of the best.
