This company should be called ""Above and Beyond Your Budget"" Did not use this company for one reason. They will NOT give you an estimate, not even ballpark over the phone. Their receptionist plays dumb. So imagine you have a light fixture you want replaced. You have no idea how much to expect. They come out and tell you at the beginning of your appointment time that it will be $500. At that point, if you agree, the ""estimate"" is free. What value, right?! As if. If you say, OMG that's too expensive, no thanks, you get slapped with an $89 ""estimate/service call"" fee. So $89 later, you still have no light fixture and all you've earned is a data point that THIS company is too expensive and you're gullible.

You got deep pockets? Sure, you might not have a problem with this. But I expect VALUE and good service for my hard earned money and a blank check to an electrician who won't even give me an idea of how much to expect to pay ahead of time...not this homeowner. I've flipped houses before and can say with absolute certainty after using many Electrician companies, if the estimate isn't free or they won't at least tell you a dollar range to expect...the company is purely about profit, NOT about customers and I'm guessing that the service given reflects that.

Nathan and Above and Beyond Electric were extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and good at what they do. We had a variety of things from unique light fixtures to be wired and hung, recessed lighting, to new and moved outlets. We were so happy with the work and how quickly they got it done!

I have been working with Above and Beyond Electric a few times after we moved to Memphis in Nov 2015. Luke is the electrician working on my projects. He and his team are very professional, efficient and polite. I am very pleased with the job he has done. Besides the electricians, I also would like to mention Pam and Kim in the office. They are very helpful and very kind. The business owner Nathan, he knows how to run his business!

We needed our house rewired before we were able to qualify for insurance and close on our new home. Above and Beyond was able to get us in quickly for an inspection and they were able to get the work done for an affordable rate in just two days. Everyone on their team (especially Pam at the front desk) were incredibly kind and helpful.

Above and beyond was contracted to do some electrical changes through Conway services. They setup an appointment to be at my home between 8 and 9am Saturday. I re-arranged my schedule and they never showed.

Unfortunately, I am very displeased with this company. I recently called to have 2 motion detector lights added to the back of my home. I purchased the lights, wiring and all necessary equipment to have the fixtures added for less than $200.

I was told a quote could not be given on the phone. Rather, it would be $89 for someone to come to my house and discuss the project. When the electrician arrived, I was out of town and my wife was home. The electrician spoke in a very heavy, foreign accent my wife could barely understand. He wrote up the quote and said it would cost $626 to wire the lights, with all of our materials. So, connecting a two wires would cost more than 3 times as much as the lights and all equipment (including wiring).

The electrician called me to discuss the pricing because my wife wasn't sure. I had a very difficult time understanding him on the phone. After 10 frustrating minutes, I ""negotiated"" a lower price... Not sure why or how that was possible... Then, once we agreed, the electrician called his boss, then raised the price once again.

Being already committed to $89 just to have the technician come to my house and being so frustrated and feeling very taken advantage of I agreed to have the job completed.

The invoice was hand written and incorrectly added. Once my wife corrected the basic math, my credit card was charged nearly $500 (2 1/2 times the cost of materials). I got home and the lights weren't even calibrated or setup properly. Something I had to do myself.

I know electricians are important, but I feel very taken advantage of and will not be using Above and Beyond Electric Company, Inc. ever again.

Not sure what happened in previous review, but our experience was great. Very professional, excellent communication, completed the job and then some. We asked about another job around the house and they gave us a couple of different ways to do it and different quotes. Honest work and asked for an honest amount of payment. I have had a hard time finding someone like this to handle electric work. I will call this company every time for every job.
