This review is not about the quality of Above All Plumbing work because they never show up for our appointment. The appointment window was for the second half of the day. I waited from 1-4 PM as instructed by the company. But no one came out or called. I then called again this morning and was promised that some one will get back to me ASAP and still nothing. I guess that my time is not that important.

Recently the water in my kitchen sink got backed up. My home inspector and realtor recommended me to call AAP. Steve and Julio came to the rescue. They were courteous, professional, and pleasant. Not only did they resolve the issue efficiently, they also took the time to educate me, a new homeowner living in a multi-unit complex. Three years ago when my house was still under the homeowner warranty, a plumber came for the same problem. He told me my unit did not have a clean out. So the snake was run from my kitchen down the pipeline. This time, Steve located the clean out, just outside across the alley. They ran the snake from my kitchen and also from the clean out to make sure the pipe is cleared. As another reviewer mentioned, they were very thorough about testing it, filling my kitchen sink with water half way and to make sure the water drains properly. I am very satisfied with their service and highly recommend them! AAP, you just got another happy customer! Thanks Steve and Julio!

The shower on the 2nd floor was leaking through the ceiling. Above All Plumbing came out and diagnosed it to a bad gasket in the overflow, an easy fix! They were very thorough about testing it, filling the tub and waiting for leaks for 10 minutes. Highly recommended!

5:30PM driving home after a long day's work (and a long commute home I might add). I have my back windows rolled down jamming to my radio as I wait for my light to turn green. Some jerk in a van next to me starts cat callin, sticking his head out the window and yelling ""ooo, hey there!"" And who knows what else. I couldn't hear (and didn't want to hear) what he was actually saying, but I noticed he was in a van advertising for this company. Talk about disrespectful and unprofessional.

I don't currently need any of the services this company offers, but I will NEVER ever contact them due to this experience. Way to rep your company, dude.

My landlord used to use this company all the time, about 7 years ago. They had always been reliable back then. Not anymore.

When I set up an appointment to snake out the drains, I was told by Kim that the plumber would be here at 4, and that he would call when he was on his way. I waited until 5:30, then called. I got Elise this time. I told her I'd been waiting since 4. She informed me that Kim had meant to say it was a 4-6 appointment window. I asked Elise to have the plumber call when he was on his way. She said he would.

I waited again, until 6:50 this time. I got Elise again, and relayed to her that I was very frustrated at this point, and that I had not even received a call to let me know what was going on. The whole evening had been shot waiting for a plumber to come do what amounted to a 30-minute job. Well, Elise didn't like my criticism, and she got very mouthy and rude. Her attitude was completely unprofessional, on top of the fact that their plumber had left me hanging for 3 hours. I told her so, and she continued to be rude, so my husband spoke to her. She informed him that the plumber was in the area, and would call shortly.

Elise called back 10 minutes later to say that the plumber was on the porch. My husband went to the door, then outside, around the corner, to the driveway; no plumber, no truck. I told Elise that she was incorrect, and she rudely insisted that we were wrong. We argued back and forth on the matter, with her attitude worsening by the second. I told her, ""When I write the review on yelp!, it's going to quote Elise as saying, 'I don't know what you expect me to do, do you want a plumber or not?'"" She sounded exactly like a surly third grader.

While I was dealing with Elise, the plumber finally showed up, and my husband went to talk to him. I had decided at this point that if the two of them didn't have enough wits to keep an appointment and at least be polite to the customer, then I wasn't going to trust my toilet to a bunch of rude incompetents. A toilet is too important ! I ended up telling Elise what a rude bitch she is, and the plumber never made it inside, because she called him and told him not to do the job.

I told my husband to have him wait so I could speak to him. The guy, who looked like a kid, was grinning vacantly when I walked up. I didn't say a word, just looked at him expectantly. He finally giggled, ""O, sorry I was late."" I asked why, and he thought a second, then said, ""I got held up at another job."" I asked why he hadn't called, as promised so many times, and he informed me that it isn't the plumber's job to call en route, but the dispatcher's. So Elise was full of c rap (This was confirmed by the manager when I spoke to him.). She not only didn't do her job AT ALL, but was a total hag to me besides, when she screwed up.

I informed the plumber, who was still grinning ear to ear, that I wouldn't allow him to touch the toilet anyway, because I didn't think he could handle it. He apologized (He was pretty vapid, but more polite, at least), and sauntered smugly back to his truck and drove off. I had the distinct impression that Above All Plumbing (!) figured it was no big loss, since so many customers are in dire need when they call. But they're wrong, because not only are they not the only game in town, but I'm a teacher on summer break. I've got LOTS of time.

I called Active Plumbing the next day, and had a very positive experience (They were polite, intelligent, and did a great job in 20 minutes. See their 5-star reviews on here.).

One negative review on Above All echoes back to me now, though I had tried to give them the benefit of the doubt at the time: ""They're not the outfit they used to be."" This person was 100% correct, and I'm going to heed the reviews here more strongly from now on.

I feel a little bad for the manager, who told me he was going to pull these two aside and have a word with them about professionalism, but I'd feel worse if I didn't try to help out other people in real need of a plumber.

Had a toilet back up and the original service technician that snaked the line recommended a camera to check for any obstructions etc...and to check the sump pump downstairs. The house pipes are about 30+ years old.

No problem making an appointment . Adam came out and was prompt, professional, and explained to me in simple terms what could be the reasons that could be backing up the toilet. He used a camera to check the pipe (EVEN MADE A DVD TO EXPLAIN WHAT HE WAS DOING) all the way to the street and didn't find anything. He must have changed his booties about 10 times so he wouldn't get dirt on our carpets.

Thank you to Kim, Adam and the first technician (sorry I didn't get your name but you know who you are) for being a great company and very honest, thorough, and very reasonably priced

Adam from Above All Plumbing came out to fix our bathtub today and got here promptly during the appointment window. He was clean, courteous, and friendly. He explained to me what he needed to do and gave an estimated cost before he fixed everything. Will/would definitely use them again next time we need a plumber!

After a smaller repair (shower valve), AboveallPlumbing was not willing or able to provide an itemized bill, despite numerous contact attempts and even an arbitration attempt (BBB). They charged more than twice the amount of what was given over the phone as an estimate. With no itemized bill to check what actually had to be done, this is highly unprofessional. The guy who did the repair was very rude

I cannot recommend that company. Stay away!

Today, I call above all to help me. My kitchen sink water is backing up. And Steve come to rescue and help. He is very fast/efficient, very polite. Since he has to
go upstair to check shower. I request shoe has to be taking off to go to my upstair carpet. He is very happy to do so. He explain to me about my pipe (kitchen)
and use snake to fix it. Very fast, excellent job. Highly recommend Above All to anyone. Price is reasonable. If I ever have problem again, definitely will call Above All.

Well Considering the fact that one of they're Driver's almost ran over myself and my three children as we were crossing Mission Blvd & Whipple rd in a CROSS WALK I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Also please note that the DRIVER WAS ON HIS CELL PHONE!
