I contacted Able Plumbing to fix a plumbing problem. The scheduling process went very well and the plumber was out the same day and on time. The problem was the price quote on the repair. I was quoted over $600.00 to replace a pressure regulator. I knew the regulator cost was about $100.00 or so and there would be a few fittings needed and the job should take about an hour. This meant they were getting over $450.00 in labor. I was told by the plumber that they don't charge by the hour but by the job. Needless to say I had to find another plumber. I found a local licensed plumber who did the whole job for a total of $200.00. It cost $115.00 for the regulator and $85.00 for the service call and labor. Able's service was good but the price was way out of line.

I've used Able pluming twice now and nothing but great service . They call you and give you updates when the tech will arrive . Dale O was the tech who helped unclog the kitchen sink , he did a great job., very proficient and friendly.

Sorry to write a negative review but I was recently charged $349 for a simple ceiling fan installation. The ceiling was only 8 feet high and the bedroom was vacant. My choice was pay the $49 estimate and then call someone else or pay the high price. Since it was a rental property and our tenant was about to move in, we decided to go ahead and pay the high price. The technicians were very nice - I just think $349 is too much to pay for less than an hour's work.

11/3/15 Tom (owner) contacted me and reimbursed me for a large part of what I had paid. I am now satisfied that I paid a fair price and the work they did was excellent. I really appreciate being contacted by the owner and making this right! ...DC

Brian B went above and beyond what was required of him. He did the job perfectly and explained things during the process so I knew in the future what to look for. He also helped me take my washer off its pedestal because he realized I needed help. Never had better customer service like this! 5 stars all the way!

I have used Able Plumbing several times to do small jobs. Each job could be completed within the hour of the initial service charge, plus parts. The persons who did the work were very pleasant, did good work and did it quickly. I was happy with these experiences.

Several months ago I had an electrical job. I called Able and two other electrical contractors to get bids. Able was the highest bid. I was told that it was a fixed price bid regardless of the time taken. The bids that I got from the other contractors were lower. After the job was done, my cost was less than half of the Able bid.

My advice on a larger job is to get bids. I believe that Able's fixed price model might turn out to cost more than jobs done on the clock.

I give Able only three stars. This has nothing to do with the skill and abilities of the workers, but the bidding. It seemed strange to me that Able's fixed bid was twice as high as either of the other bids.

Able was the only one of the three contractors that charges me to make a bid.

Bryan B. is the service man who came and helped us out. He did a great job. He explained everything to my mother in law so she knew she was making a good decision. He was patient with her. And their prices are reasonable. Also,thesis the work same day. We really appreciate it.

Brian B. did a fantastic, professional job of diagnosing and fixing my kitchen plumbing problem. When he couldn't come at the time scheduled, his company called to ask me if a later time worked for me. He came promptly at that later appointment. He gave me tips on how to avoid problems in the future. He also asked me about any other problems I might be having with my plumbing, and reassured me that a toilet-refilling noise was not a leak. I recommend his company very highly.
