We live in an older home in Serra Mesa, and we had part of a pipe break on us. After trying to fix it ourselves for hours without success, we called Scott in a panic at 5pm on a Sunday evening. He offered to come out to take a look, and was there within about 15 minutes. After taking a look, he let us know that the work we needed to do was pretty involved, but he reassured us that it could be fixed. He got to work right away, and by 7pm we had the water back on in our home.

We are so thankful to have Scott in our community and would recommend him to anyone!

A girlfriend recommended Able Plumbing to me and I used him for quite a while. In the spring of 2018, my water bills began averaging 100 gallons per day more than ever before (of course San Diego Public Utilities refused to even reread my meter). I called Scott and he checked all that he could but found no answer. He referred me to Cable Pipe & Leak - they found nothing. So he insisted that it had to be my sprinklers and he referred me to a very sketchy sprinkler company that found nothing. I called Scott to come out again. Long and short of it was that he angrily and vehemently insisted that it WAS the sprinkler system and that if I didn't agree with him, I could ""Just find someone else!"" He stormed off and did not return my call the next day regarding a different issue. i.e. he fired me!

Months later, there was a ""boiling"" pool of water in my backyard that was the result of a broken galvanized water pipe! This very disturbing fiasco cost me over $5,000 in total....thank you Scott!

Scott is a fantastic plumber! Very professional and quick to respond if not already on a job. He has done some very specialty work for us too. You can't go wrong calling Scott. He is very friendly and heck... never had to see what plumbers are famous for!

After reading all the great reviews I decide to give them a call. I called and explained the issue we are having. And the man on the phone reply's ""uh yeah sure whatever"" then fumbles around for a while then asks me for my address. With the lack of courtesy and professionalism I was given just over the phone I would never allow them into my home.

Funny how they say he is a ""one man show"" but someone who wasn't even on the call is replying to my review...
I am sure Scott is an excellent plumber. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to experience that. I was calling looking for help, I wouldn't be rude but that is what I got in return. You got your story mixed up, since you weren't on the call it is understandable. I repeated what he said as I was surprised by it. You also got it wrong that I hung up on him. Before I hung up I said ""with so many other plumbers in San Diego, I will take my business elsewhere"".

I am not one that leaves reviews on yelp often, but I felt this one needed to be done.

Bathroom drain clogged on a Saturday afternoon and most places were closed or said they would come out Monday. I tried to do what I could, even buying a drain snake from Home Depot which broke as I tried to use it. I called Scott and he said no problem but he wouldn't be available for a couple of hours.

He came out earlier than he said and fixed it quickly. He told where to get a snake that would work and shared a couple of techniques to use so that it wouldn't break. I thanked him for the advice, but I would more than likely just call him if I needed any more plumbing work done.

He told me the price up front. It was on a Saturday afternoon, but even with that I thought the price was reasonable.

Scott is a very good plumber. He is trustworthy and professional. He even came a day before the repair to take a look at my shower valvle screwup to see what he needed for the repair. Very nice guy and his repairs have never failed me. His prices are next to none. Lets just say all these other plumbing companies cant even come close to Scotts prices. Hes the definition of fair. Please call Scott to get ur plumber repairs fixed.

Our garbage disposal broke, pipe leaked and I panicked because having 2 young kids and not able to use the sink?! Sent out a Yelp request for plumbers and Scott responded. So glad he did because he was very responsive, prompt, and personable. Replaced our garbage disposal and cleared drain. So happy with his work! Will definitely work with again.

Scott is a great guy! He came out to clear our drain on a moments notice. Very friendly, prompt and courteous. About a week later our drain clogged again probably due to female toiletries in our drain AGAIN. He came back out promptly and cleared out the drain again and didn't even charge me! What a guy! Highly recommended if you want prompt, professional service for drain clearing in San Diego.

The kitchen discharge was flowing out of the entrance to the outdoor trap onto the ground under my deck due to a blockage in the drain pipe. I contacted three companies and Able Plumbing was the least expensive of the three and was available the next day. I made an appointment for the next day with a 9-12 pm window. Brandon showed up at 9:05 am and had the blockage cleared within 30 minutes. Brandon was knowledgeable and friendly. There was a 1 hour minimum charge for the service. I paid $110 plus a $6 invoicing fee. I could not have been happier with Able Plumbing. I will call Able Plumbing again in the future if I had another plumbing need.
