The company was recommended by another plumber we've used in the past and loved, but couldn't accommodate my urgent request (clogged toilet). Scott responded my call fast and were able to come within an hour, the service was simple according to him and it was done in less than 10 minutes. He charged $125 for the service and even though I thought it was expensive I said yes because my desperate necessity. Its not that I wouldn't recommend him, but if I had time to shop before deciding I would, however once your bathroom has poop all over it, theres little to think about.

After a long day at work all I wanted to do was come home and relax. When I got back home I was greeted by my daughter yelling. The toilet was clogged and overflowing heavily, it turns out that she tried to flush a newspaper down the toilet. I tried a plunger and some draino but that didn't help at all. I remembered that one of my friends knows of a great plumbing company. I gave him a cool to get the information for the company. I made the call and was immediately speaking to a live person. I told him the problem I was having with my toilet. He suggested that he could send a plumber right away to repair my toilet. The Plumber arrived later than night and he used a special type of plunger to fix my toilet. It took him about 10 minutes to completely unclog everything. This surprised me very much. I heard they were fast, but not this fast! The plumber was very nice also, he was telling me stories about the types of things he found in customers toilets. I would rate this company five stars across the board. It was very a very simple and easy process.

I was charged $125 for a service call that took 15 minutes and was apparently an easy fix. I pointed out that this was the equivalent of charging $500 per hour and if that was their standard rate...I was told that the fee was per service ( mind you a service that took 15 mins, in and out the door) and coming to my house. Even factoring in a fair ""house call"" rate and then an hourly fee still would have been less money. I would strongly recommend calling around, I was in a pinch and went wit who could come first, there are a million plumbers in SD, don't use this one unless you are prepared for an outrageous pricing structure!

So I purchased and installed two brand new toilets about a month ago.
Sunday (of course right before the superbowl) I discovered that one of them was leaking. I had no idea why or who to call...so yelp to the rescue...

Scott is (one word).....AWESOME!
Can't say enough...

I called after five...he answered.

Due to work I couldn't meet until noon the next day....he was 15 mins early and called to let me know he was waiting

He walked in looked at it, told me what the problem was, fixed it.....all in less than an hour

He recaulked the part around the base, cleaned up and left the bathroom in an awesome condition

He garranteed his work for a year! Fantastic.

I have used Scott, from Able Plumbing for several years. He is very reliable and does fine work.

The city had some contractors do pipe work on our street a while back and since then, the water pressure in our house has been off. We couldn't use multiple water lines (i.e, when showering, we couldn't do laundry or use the sink. Otherwise, we would get almost no water running)


We first had the city come in and take a look at the pressure and they of course did not want to take responsibility and suggested that we needed a new regulator and change 2 of the valves. Scott showed up today and to assess the situation. He was able to isolate a few things and find the root cause of the problem in 20 mins. This was suppose to be a free of charge assessment (as he had mention over the phone), but since he help us figure what the problem was, we gave him a little of cash.

He does charge $95 a visit, so i would describe the problem with him over the phone and then be clear on what expectations are from both ends.

He is wonderful and I can't say enough for what great work he does and what great customer service he provides.

I called Able Plumbing and Scott, the owner, answered the phone himself. He was friendly and offered to unclog the shower drain in my Serra Mesa home the same day. I also had him look at several other issues and he returned a few days later to fix both of my toilets a bathroom sink and he installed a new faucet and shower head I bought at Lowes.

Scott is a very nice and soft-spoken man. He has a wonderful attention to detail and alerted me to some issues I didn't even know I had. He as punctual and honest about the cost for the work.

Though I would like to keep him to myself as one of my ""homeowner's best-kept secrets"" I highly recommend Scott for both his excellent work and his great integrity!

Our toilet was running/leaking and making a constant tapping noise. Gave Scott a call based on previous Yelp reviews. He was so friendly on the phone. I was worried about being charged a crazy fee on a weekend, but he assured me that Saturday morning would cost the same as Monday. He also explained that he can come by, give me an estimate, and I can make my decision at that point, with no charge if I decided not to do anything.
Scott came by this morning to assess my situation, gave me a real picture of what was going on and what needed to be done and a quote.

We rent our unit, and because major work needed to be done, I needed to check with my landlord first.

Our landlord decided against it and told us he'd get it fixed himself.

If it was just me, I would have moved forward with Scott in a heartbeat. He was straight up and honest and I could tell he was all about doing an efficient job.
