George did a wonderful job clearing a sewage drain that someone else was not able to clear. His prices are very reasonable and his work is great. Really nice guy. Highly recommended.
Second time using them - they are the best. Very good prices and very competent work.
Both times they told me where and how my drain lines became clogged and tested it to make sure everything was working well.
They are like roto rooter, but more more personal and experienced and about half the price.
U. F.Honest, local, showed up quick, reasonable.
George was recommended to me from his relative who also has a drain service and was too busy with other jobs. It seems to be a family expertise.
I called at night with a sudden main house drain clog which left us unable to use any plumbing. They called me back early in the morning and were at our place by 9:30am. George came with an assistant. They assessed the situation quickly, brought the tools, and went to work outside. They spent a good hour or so diagnosing and cleaning out the system. They even plunged out the kitchen sink to help with draining speed. I asked about other plumbing issues while he was there, but they only do drains and said they could refer me to someone else for that. I like that.
When they were done, they cleaned up everything and the yard looked as good as when they arrived. We were fully back in business after what turned out to be many years of drain accumulation. There was no attempt to extract more repairs out of us. Their fee was a reasonable $185. These are good, old-school local folks--honest, professional, and hard working. I would call George again in a second.
One tip I got from several plumbers: no matter how worried you might be about the drain emergency, try to avoid calling those rotorooter-type national companies. Those places are known for charging an arm and a leg and finding lots of other ""problems"" to fix to pad the bill. Stick with local folks like George who have been in business long enough to have built a reputation and who understand the nuances of an old quirky house.
Sans D.I called and left a message late Friday evening about our water heater pilot light not being able to be relit. Happily I received a call 1st thing Saturday morning. I was assured someone would be out to help. George arrived Saturday afternoon and relit the heater in no time at all. He made sure it was going to stay lit before leaving. I have used this company before for a clogged drain and the installation of my water heater and was as satisfied then as I am now. Will definitely be using them from now on.
Max V.Able Drain Service charged my 73 year old father $150 to plunge a sink. The entire service visit lasted less than 10 minutes. I think everyone deserves to make an honest buck but I thought this fee was totally unreasonable.
Keith M.When I suddenly found raw sewage overflowing my laundry area utility sink, beyond the initial surprise, I became quite worried that perhaps this could involve thousands of dollars for a new sewer line. Despite leaving a message after hours, Able Drain Services quickly returned my call and offered to come out that night and help me out. Not thinking it was any emergency, since the sink slowly started to drain once we were aware, I scheduled for the following morning. They called ahead of their arrival, which I appreciate. Fast, friendly, courteous work. I just had a few sticks in the vent that were catching passing debris and clogging up the works. Things started flowing after the sticks and the caught debris was removed. Able augered out the line anyway just to be sure. All for $150. When you're worried you might be looking at thousands of dollars, it's quite a relief to pay such a reasonable sum.
Alicia M.ABLE Drain Service was recommended to us from a different plumber that our real estate agent suggested. With few reviews online I was little apprehensive but we trusted our gut and had George come out to check the issue.
Prior to hiring ABLE we called a different plumber (who had many reviews online) and they quoted us $1,200 because apparently they needed to replace a pipe entirely.
George showed up and quickly identified where the issue was. He then snaked the pipe and wa-la, the plumbing worked again. He charged us $165 and we are as good as knew.
Thanks to George and his brother-in-law. :)
