I had used them threw my home warranty Old Republic almost 2 years ago, they laid plumbing in my kitchen. When I used dishwasher I would hear a sand noise when certain cycles were going. Fast foward 2 weeks ago my dishwasher man comes out and tell me there are bolts and screws in my plumbing line. I called them to let them know and they stated I would have to pay a service fee..Never again.
My water heater went out over the holiday weekend. I have a home warranty through American Home Shield. They had someone over to the house within 2 hours of my call and the water heater fixed in less than an hour after arriving. Now that's service!!
George N.My home warranty company insisted that I use AAPR. I will keep my review short but just let me say that I had similar experiences that all the other customers who gave them a one star rating. The first time they came out AAPR gave this as his detailed analysis of my 48 year old water heater that was leaking: ""makes hot water."" I called Fidelity National Home Warranty after they denied my claim and insisted that another plumber come out to reassess. 2 AAPR plumbers came out and the conclusion that they came to was that I had to pay them $550 MORE than the $1185 that the home warranty was paying them! I got the last word when I insisted they pay me out and I would replace the water heater myself. I got the whole thing for $880 including a reputable plumber's installation. Do not use and do not trust them.
Valerie M.I had a good experience with this company.
I was referred by my home warranty company, Old Republic. The reviews are terrible, but I took a gamble.
Because of previous reviews, and the fact that it was Friday, I wanted to make sure they were coming during the 4-6 pm window. So, I called when I was leaving work at 2:45 to confirm and tell them he could come early. He was waiting there when I arrived home at 2:55.
Gil was the technician, and he was friendly, clean, and professional. He listened to what I said about the problem and went right to work. He identified my leak, coming from a corroded joint under my house, and let me know that if he had the parts in the truck he could fix it right then.
He had the parts, and got to work. Overall, he was here about an hour and half, got the work done, and only requested payment for my warranty deductible.
Called my home warranty company about a plumbing issue. They referred me to this company. Ability Access called me to schedule an appointment for October first 12-2. I called them at 2:15 when no one showed up. Dispatcher told me my appointment was rescheduled this morning for October 6. I asked is it normal not to let your customers know when you reschedule? His reply was ""when you guys call we don't call"". I asked who is you guys? I told him I'm not you guys I'm Katherine . So he places me on hold, comes back and says your husband called this morning to reschedule. Oh really! What's his name and phone number??? Because I don't have a husband, it's only me. I asked the home warranty company for a different company because I don't trust them.
Michelle H.DO NOT USE THEM. They overcharged for items that were unnecessary. They used Black Steel for water line which produced rust in the lines. They told me on the phone that they did not use the wrong kind of pipe and refused to come back out. The supervisor was supposed to call me and never did. They spoke mostly spanish when i was around, told me things needed to be replaced due to code which were unnecessary, and refused to fix the problem with the pipe they installed. Not to mention being rude over the phone. Even with photographic proof, they refuse to come out without another call from the home warranty company. Your Home Warranty Program can change you to another vendor. Insist on it!
Joe H.Called home warranty company at 9am with not hot water. They contacted Ability to make the repairs. Appointment made for same day between 1 and 3 PM. Alfredo showed up on time at 130 and had the thermo coupler replaced inside of 30 minutes. Courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Great job!
Anthony A.We used ability because that's who was sent to us by our home warranty. It was for a leak under our house. A few trips were made to resolve the issue. (Home warranty issue) no issues at all. Totally professional all the way around, from phone calls to the technicians. Always on time and super friendly. I recommend and will call again for any plumbing issues. Thank you Ability.
Kelli H.I was referred to this company buy my home warranty company of fidelity these guys don't know their ass from the hole in the ground came out after waiting on them all week just to find out he misdiagnosed the problem on my water heater now who knows how long I'm going to have to wait and you're right these guys are rude now I'm going to be two weeks without any hot water don't use these guys they're not worth it wish I could change by myself another plumbing company these guys don't know what they're doing
Rob E.I wish I could zero stars, this was the worst company I ever had the displeasure of using, my warranty company called them out for a main line blockage and they said I did not have a flush valve and it was $1200 to add one in. My son looked under the house and told them it was under there and they refused to do it. To top it off he walked into the bathroom and flushed one toilet and then proceeded to the other bathroom and my wife told him to not flush that one, he did and it backed up raw sewage into both bathtubs, and then left without cleaning it up. I called my own company who came out looked under the house and found where the main line came in, walked to the front of my house moved a little dirt and low an behold there is was. These people do not know what they are doing and hire idiots.
