Do yourself a big favor, if you have a major or minor plumbing problem, don't call these guys. The only reason they survive is because American Home Shield uses cheap contractors. If you have an actual problem or emergency, they can't and won't help you.

Like many others on this list, I didn't really have a say as to what company I used for my issue covered by my home warranty (American Home Shield)... and I had no reason to assume that I should vet the company referred. I should have though and will not trust any company they send based on there referrals...
We were told they would call to schedule within 24 hours... which they did, at hour 23... they made an appointment for 12-2 the next day and I called them at 2:30 to ask where they were and they said they'd come out at 5. They were at my house from 5-7 ""fixing leaks""... they left with the valve to our furnace shut (it was open when they got there), and when the gas company came to turn on the gas the next day they called them to say the valve needed to be turned on and the ""contractor"" said that he wouldn't come back out. After spending an hour on the phone with the warranty company (again, AMERICAN HOME SHIELD)... they got him (the same ""contractor"") to come out again. He turned on the valve and left. We immediately smelled gas and called the gas company. They found a leak and shut off our gas again. Having spent another 90 minutes on the phone with the warranty company (AMERICAN HOME SHIELD), they repeatedly stated that they have to send the same contractor out and couldn't refer someone else more competent to complete the job. When the company called back to set up a time, I informed them of everything that had happened and they responded with ""so, do you want to schedule to repairs or no?"". A horrible company, with terrible customer service, terribly punctuality, terrible quality, and absolutely no care for the customer at all. They care about the money and the money only. I will never do business with them again, even if I have to pay out of pocket.

Alfredo and Sergio promise that they will come back to fix the incompatibility faucet from the stopper. It's been a week so I decided to call American shield and called their company... no luck! I'll post more photo and despite of having a new faucet, the water that comes out from that faucet was not good...I got two new faucet replaced but the stopper for both are not compatible, so now way for me to get it fix. Called again no luck ... 39 days work warranty wasn't true..

We had a leaking pipe in the wall. Technicians showed up on time, were professional and courteous and fixed the problem in less than an hour. Armando and Sergio are their names. Very happy with them and would recommend them to others.

PLEASE!!! Do not use this company. If your home warranty is first American like mine, tell them you want a different company for plumbing.
Yesterday 11/15/18, a husband and wife team came to my home to repair a broken pipe under my house. They had to break through the concrete and foundation in my living room. After making a 3×2ft wide 3.5ft deep hole in my living room; the man tells me he's unable to complete the job because the concrete is too thick. He then told me my insurance is having another contractor come finish the job. This was a lie. After hours on the phone trying to figure out who is going to finish the job I was told Ability plumbing left because they were waiting on approval for further work, the job was harder than expected. I understand this happens but why lie to my face?
I don't understand how a company can come into your home, cause so much damage, leave me with no water & a hole that smells of sewer water in my living room. The cherry on top.... The dumb plumber fills my trash bin with concrete & leaves it on my front lawn he also dumped all the sewer water onto my lawn. This husband and wife team is beyond unprofessional! Absolutely horrible & I strongly recommend anyone needing plumbing services avoid this company at all costs.

I had used them threw my home warranty Old Republic almost 2 years ago, they laid plumbing in my kitchen. When I used dishwasher I would hear a sand noise when certain cycles were going. Fast foward 2 weeks ago my dishwasher man comes out and tell me there are bolts and screws in my plumbing line. I called them to let them know and they stated I would have to pay a service fee..Never again.

My water heater went out over the holiday weekend. I have a home warranty through American Home Shield. They had someone over to the house within 2 hours of my call and the water heater fixed in less than an hour after arriving. Now that's service!!

My home warranty company insisted that I use AAPR. I will keep my review short but just let me say that I had similar experiences that all the other customers who gave them a one star rating. The first time they came out AAPR gave this as his detailed analysis of my 48 year old water heater that was leaking: ""makes hot water."" I called Fidelity National Home Warranty after they denied my claim and insisted that another plumber come out to reassess. 2 AAPR plumbers came out and the conclusion that they came to was that I had to pay them $550 MORE than the $1185 that the home warranty was paying them! I got the last word when I insisted they pay me out and I would replace the water heater myself. I got the whole thing for $880 including a reputable plumber's installation. Do not use and do not trust them.

I had a good experience with this company.

I was referred by my home warranty company, Old Republic. The reviews are terrible, but I took a gamble.

Because of previous reviews, and the fact that it was Friday, I wanted to make sure they were coming during the 4-6 pm window. So, I called when I was leaving work at 2:45 to confirm and tell them he could come early. He was waiting there when I arrived home at 2:55.

Gil was the technician, and he was friendly, clean, and professional. He listened to what I said about the problem and went right to work. He identified my leak, coming from a corroded joint under my house, and let me know that if he had the parts in the truck he could fix it right then.

He had the parts, and got to work. Overall, he was here about an hour and half, got the work done, and only requested payment for my warranty deductible.
