Robert came out to our house through a home warranty plan we have. He was very professional , friendly and helpful! He took care of our problem very quickly and efficiently. I was very pleased!
Minerva H.Abe's Plumbing was recommended by our home warranty company to fix our gas leak. They dispatched ""Robert"" out to our house for service. He arrived within the appointment time which is always nice, I hate having to sit around all day waiting for servicemen to arrive so kudos to Robert. He was friendly and professional to both my husband and I. We let him know that the Gas company had shut off our gas the prior day due to a gas leak under the house. Robert suited up and went under the house and was able to find the gas leak by performing an air test. He found that both ends of pipe were loose and had to cut the pipe. Robert had to run out to buy 2 pieces to repair it but returned promptly to fix the problem and was done quickly. I highly recommend asking for Robert if needing a plumber. Thank you Robert! :-) Keep up your great work.
Ja C.Referred to us by our home warranty. Abel arrived, in place of Jose, as they were probably busy and identified the problem leak. Thought thru the best place to access the leaking pipe and went behind the stove! Isolated the leak, cut the pipe, applied compression piping and leak done. He was patient, professional and answered questions I had about the plumbing problem - explained the cause and nature of leak, prognosis of problem, other types of piping used, etc. Marlene, their dispatcher, was responsive and kept us in the loop. They arrived in their service window period and called 30min prior. Immediately arranged drywall patch up with the warranty company and got a call the next day for that separate job. Compared to the last plumbers we got - Abe's Plumbing was professional and diligent and I'd be happy to have them back again if needed!
Rachel S.I was referred to Abe's Plumbing through First American Home Warranty. Marlene was very helpful in scheduling our appointment and though we had a small mixup with the timing, Mark arrived within the window and assessed the problem, assuring me he would call me and return the next day with the hose that needed replacing in my kitchen sink. He took my check and left. I didn't hear a thing the next day nor did Mark return my calls. I called the office to find out the situation and Marlene not only kept me on hold for over 8 minutes but was a bit caustic, seemingly not understanding the fact that I needed this plumbing job addressed as soon as possible, and that it couldn't wait until Mark returned from his day off. The issue was initially looked at Thursday. Not quite sure why it got tabled until Mark returned from his weekend. Do they only have one plumber? If you want to feel helpless, unimportant and like waiting endlessly, then call Abe's.
I truly hope they can resolve my current plumbing needs expediently but it's not looking good.
Here's my update - following this yelp review I received a call immediately and my service was expedited and finished in a professional and timely manner. There were additional issues like ordering the wrong part (odd but honest mistake) and having to wait longer than the ideal amount of time however they took my review very seriously and completed the job ultimately going above and beyond. It's nice to know there are checks and balances now and that customer service matters to businesses. Yelp is a beautiful thing.
First, I'd like to give First American Home Warranty 0 stars if that's possible. They promised on the phone to replace an old broken toilet that their prior plumber said might need to be replaced. This is not the first time they've kept me waiting for nothing. Abe's plumber arrived late in the window given, and he said he was not told anything about needing to replace a toilet. But when I had scheduled the appointment, first with First American, and then with the plumbing company, I was very clear about what the prior plumber had said. And the person making the appointment said it would be taken care of. Well, he augured it -- again -- and said he'd have to come out again if it acts up. Each time it costs $65 and a day of lost work. First American is useless. And when a plumber comes out for them, they treat you like a waste of their time.
Kudos to plumber Daniel who fixed water a couple leaks. Nice guy and very diligent.
The technichian came by to our house did not have nice attitude. Not rude but not so nice.
They also messed up the appointment time. They were referred by ""First American Home warranty"". I prefer not to be using them again
Brian H.This reivew is based solely on my experiences with this company. Like a lot of folks on here, we were introduced to Abe's via our home warrenty. We bought an old house in Lakewood so we were not suprised to have a few plumbing issues. We have had Abe's at our house twice so far, and both times the guys were professional and thorough. This past Saturday we had Jimmy at our house and he got the job done qickly and was on his way. I would recommend them.
Steve S.Not a good experience. Originally called out to the house for a hot water pressure problem. They mis diagnosed the problem saying that the hot water heater needed to be flushed. This was not covered by warranty and they wanted to charge $490. I then called a different plumber who quoted $230 for the service when they arrived they said the the problem is not the hot water heater but a small clog in one a couple of the bathrooms and an adjustment to a pressure gauge where water comes into the house. Total cost $125. So not only did they mis diagnose the problem but tried to charge more than double!
Rachael F.Once again I needed to call Abe's but this time for a gas line repair for a unit in my condo complex. The tenants were a couple expecting a baby and now they had no gas! I called Abe's and of course they sent someone out immediately. Mark and Nick showed up promptly and corrected the line as quickly as possible. They made sure to keep the area safe while they worked on it and in between as they knew an expecting mother was walking around all the concrete work they had to do. When the job was complete the HOA was extremely pleased. I have used Abe's now for personal issues as well as HOA related issues and both times they were prompt, professional, and exceeding my expectations. They have a lifelong customer for sure. Thanks!
