This guy, Abel Rivas, or whatever name he goes by (he asked me to write a different last name when I wrote the check to him.) is a complete con artist. He's now listed in Carson, CA. under Abel Plumbing & Design from what I know. I called him to get a quote for him to draw up some plans and instead ended up paying HIM $150 for him to give me a 45 minute sales pitch on his construction services! He used extreme fear tactics to try to make me think I HAD TO hire him to do tens of thousands of dollars of repairs he said I HAD TO have per health department regulations. That fee was a 'consultation fee' but he didn't do anything but tell me I needed to pay him MUCH more for all these additional services.

Instead, I went straight to the health department and had them come out and tell me if these things were true - They were NOT. Period. The lady from the health dept. looked at me like I was nuts when I told her some of the things he said I had to do to get my space up to code.

BEWARE of this guy. He truly preys on consumers.
