I called ABC for two plumbing issues, a leak above my basement shower and my laundry room sink backing up every time I do a load of laundry. The dispatcher was able to send a plumber out that day, just before ending the call she asked about my hot water heaters which I found strange but she said it was ""protocol"" to inquire. I had called around 11am and the plumber arrived at approximately 2pm. Shortly after calling ABC my basement toilet clogged and began backing up into my basement shower. During this time I was unable to use any water in my house for fear of backing up the drain any further. Once the plumber arrived I explained the two reasons I had scheduled the appointment for now needed to be put on the back burner due to the more serious issue that had just presented itself. The plumber assessed the serious issue and explained that a sewer tech would be needed. While awaiting a response from his company the plumber assessed the two issues I had initially called for. While he was inspecting the plumbing in my house he asked to see my water heaters which was totally unrelated to my issue but I obliged. After inspecting all the issues he said he would go to his truck to gather price quotes and would be back shortly. After sometime he came back and right off the bat informed me that he could replace both of my hot water heaters for approximately $9000, I explained that I was in no need for hot water heaters, I simply needed my toilet and the issues I had initially called for fixed. The plumber explained that the cheapest option to fix the leak above my shower was $1243 to re-sodder a portion of pipe that ""may be leaking."" The plumber explained that he was not sure if that was the cause but said it would be a good place to start. For my laundry room sink he presented me with a $481 quote to rod the drain in ""hopes"" that it would work. After presenting me these options he informed me that a sewer tech had been contacted but would not be able to arrive until after 5pm which would then require me to pay an ""emergency"" rate. The only option I accepted was the laundry room sink rodding which he performed. The issue appeared to be fixed and I paid the $481 bill. Before leaving he said that the sewer technician would be in contact with me shortly. At 815pm I received a call from the second plumber stating that he was on his way but would not arrive for another hour and a half or he could come at 8am the next morning. I agreed to the early appointment but was still not able to use my toilets. The plumber arrived at 945am and began rodding the main drain to my house, after using all of his rodding cable and not finding any clog, he explained that he would have to go back to his office and get more cable. The trip would take 30 minutes each way but in the meantime he contacted a camera tech to inspect the pipes and the tech would arrive at the same time as him. an hour later he arrived and said the camera tech went to the wrong address and would not be here for another hour. The camera tech arrived, inspected and quoted me a $2500 option for descaling the drain or $9500 to make a ""cut out"" in my front lawn. He said the descaling could be done the same day and take 30 minutes. After making some calls he came back and informed me that the descaling machines were occupied and I would have to wait another day which meant no toilet flushing. I asked him to leave and found a new company that fixed the issue that day for $400. When I was finally able to run a full load of laundry I found that the sink in my laundry room was still backing up! I called ABC and asked for a refund explaining that I would never allow them in my house again after the two day fiasco they put me through. I have talked on the phone with 3 different people, almost two weeks later I am still waiting for someone to contact me about a refund. Please do not use this company, I spent two days being ""sold"" numerous services I did not need! Please save your time and money and find someone, anyone else to fix your home issues! Don't ""consider it done.""

Called for a $29 furnace check following several TV ads promoting the same. We were charged $89. I called the office to ask why we were not charged the $29. Was told that we received a ""tune up"" and not a ""check""... Made an appt, no mention that there was a difference between furnace ""check"" and furnace ""Tune up"". Call me crazy but as an average consumer, I would consider this to be the same, unless when we made the appt someone had taken the time to explain the difference, especially since we mentioned the $29 promotion when making the appt.

Not sure I will use them again, and if I do, I will 100% get it in writing (I know, I know...)

Do not do business with this company as I'm writing this review, I just threw the plumber off my property.
My downstairs toilet overflowed there's a clog in the line from my toilet to the clean out ....simple problem to fix . I called abc plumbing at 12 o'clock this afternoon. They told me they will be a plumber here this afternoon so I took off from work and wait for him 1 o'clock 2 o'clock 3 o'clock Nobody shows up .....I called and they tell me that the appointments been reset for tomorrow! I've already taken off work sitting here waiting for this plumber to show up all afternoon ....that's not happening ! After a long conversation they tell me they'll come out for a service call tonight for $59 and if they do the job I don't pay the $59 .... two hours later the plumber shows up now mind you I have had this done before for a total cost of $159. He looks at it and tells me $679.!
Let me tell you how much of a scam this company is. They are the ones that did it for $159 the last time I had this issue!
I told the plumber to get his manager on the phone and tell his manager to look up the price of the last time that they did the Job.... He tells me to shut up and not to over talk to him cause he's gonna tell
How it ..... I gave back the phone to the plumber, and they told the plumber who is standing in front of me to get off my property
I walk into the back door of my house and all of a sudden I hear my doorbell ringing it's the plumber .....my manager wants to talk to you and give you a new price! This company is nothing but a scam no integrity, no honesty.
do not ever call abc pluming to do any work at your home and if you do prepared to be scammed !

I have a contract with ABC and it guarantees immediate service the day I call and you give me the exact time you will arrive. So far this is a total lie you cancel after I wait home over 8 hours for nothing. This is a total lie, and it is uncalled for. Tell the truth that you do not have enough employees to take calls. I'm done with you, and I want my money back for the bogus contract which is breach of contract. I expect my money back within the next 24 hours. You rescheduled me for 5 days from now. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told by Yvonne that there are so many supervisors that there was no one I could talk to. Another lie.

Disappointed with the service of unplugging a clog. Had to call in a second plumbing service to fix the clog. Second service cleaned the main line and the trunk line that had the block. Recommend you get a second opinion anytime they try to sell you additional plumbing services such as lining the main waste line out to the street. If your video shows tree roots call your village to see if they have a program for installing an outside clean out plug.
They recommended a new liner for the waste line. Don't waste the money.

High pressure tactics to sell you a new system. Will say that the repair would be high - $3,000 for two parts that will only cost me $271.72. And it would be best to get a new furnace. Quote of $6,000 on up. Furnaces only cost $1,000 to $6,000 depending on the BTU, and efficiency. Labor I know will be a lot less with someone else just as qualified. Do not be snookered. Avoid at all costs.

We had a back up in our sewer I to our basement. Came to get a camera check and what needs to be done. We were told that the sewer pipes cast iron and the old clay tile wat in horrible condition and needed to be addressed in the next couple days. We were told no laundry 5 minute showers and not to use the toilets unless it was number 1. We were told to decals the cast iron pipe and an epoxy liner for about $11000 or to replace it all for about $22000. We got a second and third opinion and they both said that the cast iron and clay tile were in excellent shape for their age and we have no worries and one of them routed it out for $400 and said that we are good to go. And he also mentioned the fact that we have been here 10yrs and have had nothing happen with no issues or any maintaining, things happen and if we have any issues try to find a local small business because they live on word of mouth also always get a second opinion it saved me $21000!

Use a different HVAC company...NOT this one!!! After seeing the $29- fall furnace ""tune-up"" special tv commercial, I foolishly called & made the appointment for this rip-off of a company. The so called ""technician"" was what I believe to be a high pressure salesman in disguise. Sure, he did the ""tune-up"" work, I guess, since I'm no expert. But he also spent the ENTIRE time telling me what was wrong with my furnace, saying it was old, on the verge of completely giving out, criticizing the work of the previous HONEST HVAC company (whom I should have called this time). He explained that I could replace this and/or that part for now, but that it wouldn't be safe to run, obviously leaving me with the impression that if I turned the heat on, it may start a fire. That thought left me terrified. He recommended purchasing a new furnace several times, that would cost approx $10,000. (That price sounded exorbitantly high). Or, I could join ""The Club"" (as other reviewers have mentioned) where my credit card would be charged monthly for ""special"" benefits, pricing, priority scheduling, blah, blah, blah, among other things. By the time he finished with the fall tuneup, I could not pay him fast enough and send him on his way. Dont get me wrong, the ABC guy was friendly & professional, but also a VERY high pressure salesman. After reading reviews here, Im so glad I did not fall for any of his b.s. lines.

I knew that I had to call the HVAC company I'd used in the past for a 2nd opinion. They came out and put my mind at ease by actually taking the time and showing me that all the parts were fine. And they didnt even charge me for this visit! I, as a homeowner with very little knowledge of the inner workings of a furnace, learned a valuable lesson. When it comes to safety, go with the companies, people, etc that you KNOW and trust.
