I needed to replace the furnace in my rental home occupied by my daughter. Due to the great reviews here, I called ABC. The initial contact was great! Damon gave me an estimate over the phone which was within the area I was anticipating spending ($6000). That's where it all started going downhill...I stupidly asked him for a WRITTEN bid outlining what I was getting. He stuttered around and said he would have his worker drop it off at the job on Monday. The worker, on Monday, hadn't gone to the shop but took the furnace out anyway. Repeated requests were met with excuses - or ignored totally - and I was getting nervous. Damon asked about payment and I said ""cash but I wanted to see what I was getting first"". He said the proposal would have the different payment options on it. On Thursday he unexpectedly showed up to install a new furnace. My daughter texted that he wasn't sure when he would be done...either later that day or Friday. As I was preparing to go out for dinner, he called and SCREAMED that he wanted to be paid as agreed! (Huh?) He asked where I was going to dinner and he would meet me there. (""Uh...no!"") To calm things, I told my daughter to have him put it on my credit card that she has...he said ""3% more""...Me: ""ok, whatever"". Surprise surprise.. when I finally got his written bill...he crossed out the 3% and charged 3.5%. I challenged this with my credit card company and they reversed. His proud claim is that they ""have been in business for over 70 years"". I can guarantee past generations didn't do business like this....and the current generation shouldn't either.

I have been a homeowner for about 17 years and have had ABC taking care of this house for about 16 years now. They are professional, reliable and honest. They have done everything from maintenance to replacing my old oil furnace with an updated, efficient gas furnace. They have also installed an AC unit which I am soooo happy with. They are a family run business and on multiple occasions have gone above and beyond to help us when our old furnace broke down. I am thankful for fantastic service and the kindness they bring. I will be a loyal customer as long as they are around.

I highly, highly recommend ABC Heating & Cooling. I have an older home with an older furnace - it went out on us a couple of years back and Damon came out, needed a part, came back with it and got it up and running (no charge for the second visit). He said I'd probably need a new igniter soon and sure enough, this year, it needed replacing - he had one available and since it was open box, I got a discount on it. He took the time to explain several things about the furnace an upkeep. I will call them for all future business (oh, and they're great with scheduling; will fit you in even if it's at the end of a long day for them!).

This morning, our heat stopped working. I called probably 7 different HVAC companies trying to get someone to help and either they were booked through next week or didn't work on our particular brand of HVAC. ABC Heating and Cooling went above and beyond to help us tonight. Damon said he had a ton of appointments today but happened to have one right by my house so he'd stop by while he was in the area. What would normally be about a 20 minute drive to my house took them nearly 3 hours in a snowstorm. He happened to have the exact parts I was needing on hand and got everything fixed on the spot. Prices were good and he and his wife were very friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing HVAC help!
