Scope of this project was to move / flip half bath and laundry, remove corner storage and change door from standard to a pocket door. This included associated plumbing, electric and wall texturing.

Unable to use the word quality and ABC Handyman together. After gave him the stop work order, we were able to see the total waste of labor and materials. The pocket door is actually the only thing that appears okay. We are still (daily) finding shortcuts, errors, miscues.

Bottom line, he couldn't arrive before 11am 90% of the time. If he was on site, it was limited. He would bring unqualified people to our house and leave. Two guys, same day brought their dogs into our garage. Totally unacceptable.

We are in process of having to take all the 'new' dryer venting (abs, not metal) out and replace it to code. He overspent by over 25%; charged tools to our bills after we had approved only materials of two items. We wasted almost a month and over 5K on a project that he said he could do in 5 days, maybe 10.

We laugh only because he 'prides himself' that he has never had some call back for warranty work. Hint, no one wants him back! The texture was to match the remainder of the house. We have small orange peel. What he did was xl 5 year old throwing crap on the way. And the w/d as well as all fixtures had 'added' texture too.

The guy does sloppy work, nothing to code and nothing is completed in a timely manner. I can't say how much regret we have allowing this man into our home. Zero quality, zero value.

I learned my lesson! The most horrendous workmanship I've ever seen! Cuts corners whenever he can. He used 2x2""s to cover 1"" gaps all around a new countertop and called it a ""spice rack"". And for a discounted rate of $80.00 an hour plus materials! He has no respect for property and takes no pride in his work. Looks to be all women who've had a problem with him in the reviews. I will be suing, my first time ever, and I've worked with many professional contractors and handymen through my career of real estate and owning many properties.

I appreciated him coming out and I would use him again it's just amazing how expensive everything is I've been a renter a few times but for the most part I've always owned my home like I own this one there's something to be said about renting a house something goes wrong you don't have to pay to have it fixed!

I had a new Shower, and fan installed in my Bathroom. Garth and his crew did a GREAT job ! They were all very friendly and did very good quality work, felt they went above and beyond, to make sure the job was done right ! Garth would check with me daily to ""see how things went today"" which i thought was awesome ! ABC did everything he said he would and MORE! Would highly recommend garth and ABC Handyman!!! I will definitely, Be hiring him again !!

Garth helped me renovate a rental house I had owned for the past 15 years to prep it for sale. When you're upgrading a house built in the 1920s there will be a variety of issues you simply couldn't anticipate. Garth worked with me more like a partner than a vendor to overcome these challenges and get the rather large project done on time and on budget. He's particularly skilled at creative and cost effective ways to improve properties and does a great job keeping subs and labor focused and on the job. Garth is a no BS, get it done, pro.

I learned a hard lesson on this one, and I will never hire help without verifying credentials on Washington States Labor and Industry again. This man is not only a fraud, his work is amateurish and sloppy. The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries issues general contractor and specialty licenses. It is against Washington state law to perform handyman work without registering with the state's department of labor office. He will look you in eye and smile and tell you he is licensed, while he has outstanding fines against him because he does not have a license. (He charges prices as if he is licensed as well.)

I hired him for two seemingly simple jobs: replacing an outdoor faucet and replacing the master bath faucet and shower head. Both jobs lasted a few weeks and then disaster. The front faucet starting dripping and then pouring out water. The hot water connection in the master bath was not connected properly, came loose, and now I have wall damage. Not only that, he got the hot and cold water mixed up and missed a piece on the faucet so it was not only loose, it leaves a gap for water to get through the wall. Because the work was on warrantee and the hot water pouring down my wall was an emergency, I called him to come out ASAP and take care of it. We made an appointment for 2:30 and he blew me off. I literally had to call all day before he came at 7:00 to fix it. It was at that point I finally did some digging and discovered he is a fraud. Now I have to get another handyman to come out and recheck his work in the bathroom, fix the front faucet outside again, and help me assess for damages. Don't call Garth or any handyman unless you've verified they are legit. Don't buy the nice smile and smooth talk; you'll be sorry.

Garth is very competent and knows what he is doing. He did a number of different repairs for us (shower door, outside faucet) and replaced a number of items around the house (porch light, down spouts). He gave us some good advice as to what else needs to be done to maintain our home. Thank you, Garth!

Garth converted our fire pit to gas, and we are pleased with his efforts. He was quick to come out and scope the project, and he followed through as agreed upon. He was professional and courteous throughout the project. I would use his services again in the future.

While initially Garth was responsive, after he gets paid, the warranty work that he promises is non-existent. I have tried several times to contact him about things that he needs to fix on an install that he did, however, since he will not get back to me I have no choice but to report him to the BBB. I am severely disappointed in his ability to live up to his word. If you hire him for something keep in mind that you get one shot, when he's paid, he disappears.
He is all promises and goodwill until he needs to live up to his word.
