Tom at ABC Cesspool replaced a broken outlet baffle on our septic tank two and a half years ago for around $150. When we had a Title V inspection this week, the baffle that he replaced failed inspection because it was falling off. The first baffle lasted over 50 years! When I spoke with Tom about his defective repair, he did not apologize or express any concern. Instead, he got defensive, angry, and then downright nasty and hung up on me! Avoid this man and company.
Poor customer service. Made an appointment for 9:30. Door knock at 8:50 that he was done so I missed the opportunity to see the work. Turns out the driver did not hose out our cesspool before pumping which has been done EVERY time for the past 30 years. I would have insisted had I been out with him, so my bad for not expecting them 45 minutes early. I called the office to have the driver come by again to finish the job by hosing the cesspool. Office manager called driver who insisted it wasn't necessary and would not return. I said that I wanted it done. She said that he wouldn't do it and she wasn't going to argue with me and hung up. To his credit, Dick (owner) called back soon after. I repeated that the cesspool had been hosed every year for 30 years and wanted it done. Dick said that the driver has 30 years of experience and said it wasn't necessary so he would not be returning. I offered $50 additional but no deal.
I can't (yet) say that the system isn't fine and I don't question their qualifications. But their attitude towards customer service is poor. So if you want the job done the way they want it done then call ABC. But if you want to spend your money on the service you want the go somewhere else.
Very, very poor service. I live in Concord, MA. Had them come in for septic cleaning in May 2020. They lied about ""digging 2 feet"" to get to the tank; Did OK job with emptying the tank. However, left the covering slabs in a shabby way. The office manager is particularly inept, rude and unprofessional. Tried to complain to no avail. They lie about small issues. Did not finish the work to even a semi satisfactory level. Do not select them. I am attaching a photo of the shabby job they did in resetting the slabs.
We had a great experience with Tom and Stacy. They were quick to come out, explained the process, and helped us work through some BOH filing issues. I would recommend them.
It's too bad you let disgruntled former employees make derogatory comments and hurt a top notch company in business for over five decades. They care about the job they do, they stand behind their work and have a great reputation.

Still, have an 'unknown' issue going on with my septic/sewer system but they came out, hunted down the tank cover(dam thing was full), pumped it out, pointing me to the people who could figure it out, straighten out, in the midst of some 'difficult' weather. These are people who work hard &well at what they do.
For a straightforward job, no problem. Ours was hard to find and out over 100 feet, the distance limit of their camera. This resulted in hours of misinterpretation of old drawings from the town and eventually hiring a company with a longer camera. The added costs more than doubled the expense. If their camera had simply been longer much expense would have been saved. But Tom did successfully finish and add a riser for easy identification in the future. Beware they want cash or checks only before giving you the report -- very rudely communicated in the office -- and very inconvenient when selling your home, a time when cash out is at a maximum from moving expenses. Taking credit cards would have been appreciated. I had to make a second trip out to them to bring a check. Also, they will not produce a digital report and will not mail a report until payment has been made. They seem to operate from a basis of mistrust.

Completely contradictory assessments of my system. When I pointed this out to them, the nasty receptionist hung up on me !
Would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
Pumped our septic tank a few months ago and in the process dropped the lid into the tank. Yes sure it's concrete and it's heavy but that's how they built them in 1970 and they should know that and not send one guy to try to lift it alone. They covered it with a circular cover (the hole is square) and told me everything will be OK. The town disagrees saying this is a health hazard and now I have to get it fixed properly. ABC don't care and were rude. Also, they did not submit the record of the pumping to the town.
ABC failed our title 5 even though by all measurements taken, our system is functioning properly (we have since had 2 other companies by for second opinions, both agree the system is fine). There were also several mistakes on the form like the type of material our system is comprised of. ABC filed the report with the town without allowing us the opportunity to get a second opinion (standard practice by most other companies), which means a lengthy and costly process to get a hearing with the town and overturn the failure. This will mean pushing our closing date and causing many logistical and financial ramifications for us and the buyers of our house.
When we addressed ABC to ask their help in rectifying the situation, they were incredibly rude and defensive- both the receptionist and the inspector Tom O'Driscoll.
We have since heard of SEVERAL occasions of this happening to other ABC customers in the area. Other septic companies have successfully overturned failed title 5 reports done by ABC.
We will never use ABC again and would never recommend them to a friend.
