Juan was very professional and courteous. He took the time to explain what the problem was, how they would fix it, what warranties came with the parts, and even offered to help look for my dog that had gotten out from an open side gate! He had a calm and kind demeanor that didn't leave me feeling pressured to give him an immediate answer. Would definitely recommend Abacus and if you can request a technician...Juan is your man!

This review is specifically for their a/c department. DO NOT EVER HIRE THEM FOR A/C!!! Don't do it... I lost hundreds of dollars to them over a/c repairs and all they did was turn the unit back on, tell me they didn't know what was wrong than tried to say I needed to spend thousands on a new air exchange "because the drain pipe was too small"... It's a complete scam. The volume of condensation required to overflow a clear 1/2" pvc pipe would be truly phenomenal. The air exchange doesn't even effect the drain pipe size... Do you know what I actually needed to fix my a/c? A cup of bleach, $5 of pvc, and ten minutes in my attic installing a vent and cleanout for the drain pipe. That's all... I haven't had any issues with my unit since I personally fixed it. These guys are running some kind of scam through their a/c department. I would go so far as to say that I can't trust any part of their business, you shouldn't either.

Joe was a great technician. The only reason I didn't mark five stars was do to the company. After waiting until 5pm for an appointment scheduled for 8-11am, I was very frustrated with Abacus. Joe accepted my ticket and traveled from SE Houston to Sugar Land. He was very professional and thorough. He explained everything he did, found the issue and attempted several times to get a final resolution to my problem that was covered under warranty. Joe went the extra mile for me. He could have easily just left and said someone would contact me as I believed most would have done. He knew my frustration from waiting all day and did all he could to take care of my issue.

Had a failing garbage disposal on my outdoor kitchen sink. Found Abacus from Home Advisers. This company was on it.

The company dispatchers kept us updated on the Technician arrival time - they called us a couple of times. That was impressive in itself.

Josef Moran arrived to our house to fix the garbage disposal in our outdoor kitchen. He went down and hit a reset button hidden away and it started working immediately.

This was 6:30 in the evening and he No Charged the visit since it was so quick. Josef single highhandedly gave me a feeling of instant credibility for Abacus. His attitude was awesome. He said he is the after-hour guy and loves to work. As a business owner myself, I would only tell Abacus to hold onto this guy. He is representing Abacus well.

There is no doubt that we will be calling Abacus again. I highly recommend them.

My sister flooded in Atascocita subdivision in Humble TX. in short, we thought we had an electrical short, Abacas came out and checked it out. We were told no problem, and no charge. Great people in a time of need.

Professional plumber showed up in uniform. Wore little booties to keep my floors clean. Arrived within the window of the appointment. Gave us three options on a fix for our AC drain clog. And then spent the next 90 minutes fixing and double checking the fix and triple checking the fix to make sure the clog was gone and the leak stopped.

I was very impressed that his truck came complete with everything he needed to fix my issue on the first trip. No running to the supply store or calling another plumber to bring him stuff.

Like most folks we tried all the home remedies YouTube suggested! Then we gave up and called a company that advertised on the radio station where I work.

I have done everything I can to stay away from the "chain/big boy" plumbers. They all seem to want nothing more than to sell me something, sign me up for their semi-annual inspection clubs and over charge me.

Having said that, I called Abacus and got a plumber out in just 2 days...right after Harvey. It was not an emergency fix...so I can't speak on how fast they do those. But it was 2 days after Harvey hit! I left a message on their website on a Sunday morning not expecting to hear back from anyone for a while. Within an hour a lady called to hook me up. I got a text when the plumber was on his way - with his name and photo! No question that he was our guy when I answered the door.

They charge a service fee of $50 to come out. That tells me they aren't there to "sell" me something but to actually fix the problem. They accept credit cards. I will call them again.

Ask for Jarrod & you won't be disappointed. He came by for a simple installation job & was friendly & professional. He worked quickly while paying close attention to detail. Very happy with the work! I should have read reviews first instead of trusting Tom Tynan sponsor. This company is at least double the cost of regular plumbers and he could not fix a pvc pipe leak under my kitchen sink. I will never use them again nor will I use a Tom Tynan show sponsor.
